We disliked this hotel every moment we were there. The staff were not very friendly (sometimes just rude) or helpful (with a few exceptions). The design of the hotel and the room was weird or dated, or just poorly done. It never felt comfortable. We didn't go to the restaurant because we didn't want a fancy meal that night, yet they had no other options for room service. The pool was cold too. I am very disappointed in Relais et Chateau.

This was by far my favorite meal during our 2+ week trip to France. We almost didn’t make our lunch reservation due to multiple Ubers canceling on us, but when I called the hotel they somehow arranged for a taxi to pick us up right outside the Reims cathedral. Talk about service! Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and offered a seat on the terrace. While enjoying a glass of champagne, we were asked to look over the tasting menu and a la carte options. I believe we ended up selecting the Emotion tasting menu with wine pairing. We were led upstairs to an immaculate dining room and the show began. For the next almost 4 hours, we savored every bite and sip. The only other restaurant experience I’ve had that is in the same league as L’Assiette Champenoise is the French Laundry in Napa, California. Everything was perfection from the food to the atmosphere to the incredibly kind staff. I will dream of this meal and look forward to returning the next time we are in the Champagne region.

Right from the start a warm welcome by the whole staff. An amazing champagne list, from grower to all the big houses. The atmosphere is really cozy and harmonious, we had good advises from the sommelier. Food was exquisite, perfectly balanced and the champagnes worked just wonderful, I am looking already forward to come back again. Thank you Arnauld & Team, you did an amazing job. Cheers

We stayed here 4 nights and had dinner at the restaurant the last night. To be clear, this place was generally wonderful and I’d consider staying here again, but for somewhere with this Michelin rating and reputation, it fell short in a few areas. First, the good: the staff were generally superb, rooms were very spacious and beautiful, grounds were lovely, and the champagne selection was, of course, excellent. The bad (which, again, not THAT bad, no huge mess-ups, just a few puzzling things that I’d expect a place like this to get right): The room’s lights were mostly controlled by a little touch-screen panel next to the bed (another located near the front door). This includes the bedside lights (though the closet and WC are on motion-sensors, and the bathroom and lounge still had switches). So if you’re on the side of the bed without the panel and you need your bedside light for whatever reason, too bad. The WC door also does not fully close (sliding frosted glass door with a 1” gap), and since it’s on a motion sensor light, it’s not light-tight. There seems to be a type of hotel room growing in popularity that I categorize as the “can’t get up to pee at night without waking your partner” type, and this room committed multiple sins in that category. The restaurant was generally lovely, with an interesting wine pairing, but of the Michelin 3* places I’ve been, I’d probably put this one at the bottom of the list. While each of the dishes in the tasting menu was individually very good (and some excellent), the menu lacked some cohesion and flow for me. There wasn’t really a climax, and some dishes seemed out of place among the others. The lobster dish tasted primarily like paprika, and the croutons in the peas & goat cheese dish were unfortunately soggy, missing a great opportunity for some textural contrast. A lot of the dishes also seemed way too acidic to me - idk maybe I was having an off night, but I literally couldn’t finish 3 of the dishes because of the acidity (and I’m normally someone who loves acidity in foods). There was just a lack of balance in my opinion. The strawberry dessert with ratafia wine pairing was excellent, however. Again, overall a great stay and a good meal, but some disappointing misses considering the price and reputation.

France! You might say that Arnaud Lallement grew up at Assiette Champenoise, which was originally opened by his parents. Now at the helm himself, he shows that he has been trained by the best in the business (Vergé, Guérard, Chapel). He cooks high-calibre cuisine – classic, generous and above all very tasty – and lets his Breton roots (on his mother's side) shine through. A larger-than-life presence on the restaurant floor, Lallement loves to engage with guests and certainly doesn't stand on ceremony. The dishes are accessible and enhanced by memorable sauces; ingredients are treated with loving care, as in the blue lobster dubbed "a tribute to my dad", and the farm-reared Onjon squab. A fabulous culinary experience! The hotel facility is impactable. The restaurant is wonderful. This was the first time we had lunch at a 3 star Michelin restaurant. We were a little overwhelmed by the setting at first but that was quickly changed by the friendly staff on hand. Our questions were answered in sincere and friendly manner. The owner and chef, Arnoud Lallement, visited our table and chatted with us. We told him that we thoroughly enjoyed each dish. To us, this meal was an education and we learned so much about fine dining. The meal was not inexpensive but it worth every penny. We are making plans to return.

A truly magical experience. We had lunch at the 3 Michelin star restaurant, the home of Chef Lallemand, who inherited the kitchen from his father and turned it into this unforgettable culinary adventure. The “Emotion” menu, was made up of 10 distinct courses, each belonging in a museum. Will definitely come back. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and very friendly as they accommodated all of our preferences to the last detail. Thank you!

The hotel is in a great shape, beautiful design. Home feeling. The room was excellent, real comfortable. The service was absolutely five star. We can say, probably the best hotel service we have ever experienced.

This was the second time we had dinner at L'Assiette. We opted for the "Emotion" menu, wines included. Similar to last time, we were met with exquisitely crafted dishes composed of sometimes basic ingredients, but prepared in a way that really blows the mind. Who knew you could get so much flavor out of a tomato? The menu also includes some signature dishes like the blue lobster, a homage to the chef's father. From the freshly baked bread (one per table) and the three types of butter to the supremely crafted dessert and the impressive cheese selection, everything in this restaurant is focused on giving you the best experience possible. The wines were the ideal companions for the dishes, we even had a saké which complemented one of the courses perfectly. Despite the price, the selection was on par and I never felt cheated - as a wine professional I often do. The staff is friendly, respectful, but also adapts to each table to ensure a personal & tailored service. We were seated in the first floor dining area, simply because they saw that I had been there the year before and had dinner on the ground floor. These kind of details make the experience truly complete. I had dinner in a lot of Michelin Star restaurant, but nowhere have I ever felt so much like royalty/a millionaire (which I am most certainly not) as in Mr. Lallemand's restaurant.

The restaurant was amazing. The food was delicious, and the service was spot on. We got the full multi course lunch plus wine pairing. I wish I lived closer so I could come back to try the all a cart items also.

We had again a fantastic stay at L’Assiette Champenoise! Great suite, diner and champagne. Big thanks to the whole team and chef for this wonderful experience!

Outstanding, words can not describe the precious dining experience we enjoyed! The service was impeccable, food extraordinary and experience, just simply wow! Birthday celebration dinner, table of 6. We enjoyed the Saveur menu, which was a course in a course, all placed and table side finished with precision. A dining experience we shall never for get, hats off to the entire staff for setting the bar high.

First, I must talk about the service-it was outstanding; executed with military precision and with warm smiles everytime. Second, The head chef at the restaurant was the most professional I have encountered. He found out I was lactose intolerant ( the menu did not mention ingredients and I assumed a fish dish would not have cream in it) and he immediately put together a special dish just for me. The bread they served was a marvelous , complex tasting sourdough. I had to restrain myself to save space for the main course. Lastly, the rooms were unlike most hotels-large, filled with tasteful modern art, and refreshingly different. The impression I got was " This is not a chain hotel".

I booked this hotel for a special occasion with my wife to treat her to the acclaimed restaurant. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and wanted to have lunch and then dinner later that evening. We were asked if we had made reservations for either. We told them we were staying in the hotel, tough luck , the restaurant is fully booked. I complained that as a resident of the hotel we expected a restaurant as advertised for hotel guests. They shipped us off to downtown Reims to figure things out ourselves at the local cafes. With regards to dinner they said you can always order room service. Disgraceful , they seem to care more about local bookings more than hotel guest. Rooms are nice , but the experience was completed spoilt, so unless you want an expensive bed and breakfast with no restaurant I would say don't book here as they haven't figured out hospitality at the five star level.

We stayed at hotel which was very nice apart from bathroom flooding every time we had a shower and it was not fixed in spite of informing the hotel reception 3 times. However the most disappointing part was the restaurant. Firstly the wine list is completely inaccessible 3814 wines on an iPad not searchable by anything other than region. The Sommelier offered to help but then showed us wines from Sancerre telling us they were Chenin. I have since discussed the list with 3 senior (very senior) professionals in the Wine industry who have dined there and all agree the approach doesn’t work well. We got passed that and asked the Somm tp pair using wine from the glass. The result was less than spectacular. He was grumpy and unhelpful for the rest of the evening . The pairing of the Couteau Champagne Blanc clashed horribly with the Tomato course and his claimed pairing of Saumur Cab Franc was with with veal however we weren’t having veal (it was on the other tasting menu)he had got them mixed up !, As the meal it had some great highlights. The tomato course was delicious but early a meal in itself. The red mullet was very disappointing the overpowering flavour of the fish was not matched by the sauce or accompaniments. Even our waiter said yes th3 fish was not well liked and. he didn’t enjoy it The waiter rushed through the cheese and we asked for a tasting of 4 cheeses gave us two and walked away The Chef very kindly came to all tables asking how each enjoyed it. When we gave our honest feedback he said he didn’t speak much English and disappeared very quickly presumably back to the kitchen Staff were efficient but a bit closed and not very interactive. Maybe we just had a bad night but for us it was a great disappointment and a very costly one

Cheese trolley of dreams! The service was flawless, it was more like performance. Nice to have the option of having the amuse-bouche in the garden while enjoying the weather.

I wish we had stayed longer than one night. The room was lovely. The dining was .... I'm not sure I can come up with a word to convey properly... perfect? And I use that word understanding how much weight it carries. We had one of the loveliest champagnes we have ever tasted, and the service of both the restaurant and hotel were fantastic. Despite our very poor French they were cheerful, helpful, and made everything both easy and comfortable. Do take a moment to familiarize yourself with the lighting system. It's not hard to use, but when you wake up at 3am and haven't put your card in the slot... it won't work. So often when you travel you arrive at wonderful places only to be underwhelmed by something. This is the rarest case where everything exceeded my very high expectation.

Words are not enough to describe how professional and personal their hotel-restaurant is. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The hotel personnel helpful and open minded. The three Michelin star restaurant was above the charts and the personnel-chef adjusted perfect for our 2 children. The wine list is impressive. Short story: don’t miss it!

One of the best dining experiences! Indeed living up to its 3 stars Michelin status. Went there for lunch and ordered the lunch set with the wine pairing. The dishes were served with much professionalism. There seemed to be some kind of synchronization between the waiters. Such excellent service! Every dish and wine served is explained in details. Enjoyed every course and the wine was paired perfectly and that cheese cart! The photos can do the rest of the talking. Believe it's worth a trip down to Reims for a meal if you are in Paris!

I stayed at the property, sadly the restaurant was closed on the days I was there I'm August. I cannot recommend this place enough. Top notch accommodations and grounds. Literally mind blowing.

We have stayed in over 20 4* and 5* hotels in the last 6 months and this is by far at the top of my list for style, comfort, service, value and cleanliness. I can not say enough about the sophistication of the interior and architectural design. This is a property with all the high end furniture that you typically do not see in a hotel. The property is spotless and according to the staff, elements of the property are renovated each year. Our guest room was spacious, with a full living room, king bed and bathroom big enough for two persons at the same time. Honestly our guest room was the same size as our apartment in Manhattan. Breakfast was fantastic with many locally sources foods presented in a beautiful dining room or on the patio. The indoor swimming pool is clean, open design and I enjoyed some quiet laps before breakfast. This has to be the best value for the money I have experienced in many years. Highly recommend! It is worth visiting the champagne houses in the area. I would highly suggest staying more than one night.

When we booked the hotel, my wife, my daughter and I, the communication via email was (I am copying and pasting here) “I’m sorry but we don’t be used to have babies in the restaurant.” From the same email “if you want we can propose you a babysitter for that evening.” We ended up to book a babysitter through the hotel for 4 hours the day of our arrival, basically after a 9 hours flight and a postpone trip because my 11 months daughter had a cold the days we were supposed to arrive, and we have to choose either to cancel at their restaurant or book a babysitter. The day after we found out from one the front desk that there was no such policy to do not have kids at the restaurant. Things are not finished here: the day after in the morning I explicitly asked what we could eat, the answer was only room service and cold plates because the restaurant was closed. The day after I asked the same, in the morning, around 10.30 what we could eat (to be honest I do not remember if I asked explicitly breakfast but probably I did) the answer was the same: only in our room. The day of the checkout they asked me: so did you have breakfast? We found out that the breakfast was served every day but no one told us. When I underline this the answer was “we were thinking you asked for lunch” thing very tricky on their side! Incredibile. To finish: in our bill at the restaurant it was charged an expensive glass of wine that we never had and the price of the glasses of champagne was not corresponding to the price in their menu but inflated. I am just shocked for all of these, a 5 star hotel and 3 stars Michelin restaurant! Shame on you

Booked this hotel knowing that the restaurant was going to be closed. Nonetheless, I expected outstanding service. To my surprise I wasn’t greeted, no one was at the reception nor helping with luggage. Service was lacking throughout my stay. Room is modern, but smaller in size than others for the same price. I would definitely not stay here again nor recommend anyone to stay here.

Restaurant was exceptional but the hotel was not up to the same standard. We booked initially based on the review score but this is for the restaurant and not the hotel. Hotel service was not great and they did not make us feel welcome. Staff would not greet you upon entry into the hotel and would escape into their private room. Staff seemed burdened to satisfy simple requests. Would not stay there again.

Imagine that for one afternoon you get the chance to disconnect from your routine and you find yourself in the beautiful Assiette champenoise. Start feeling the place and let yourself go with the first few bubbles of some incredible Cuvée chosen by the team... then start the journey that Arnaud Lallement will want to take you through. A journey made of increadible colors, finest aromas and delicate taste...all washed by the most researched Cuvées.... that has been our experience. One in a lifetime

Incredible experience as l'Assiette Champenoise. Incredibly warm welcome followed by a drink in the garden. Incredible champagne and wine selection. I struggled to find some of their suppliers after the meal! We did the menu creation with the wine pairing and could not have had a better meal. Incredible wine and champagne paired with incredible dishes served with incredible precision. The staff is incredibly experienced and professional. Every dish was paired with a delicious sauce. The experience is expensive but unparalelled. Everything down to the bread and butter was superb. I can honestly say that it was the best meal of my life and I have been to to multiple michelin stars before.
