    This is the most incompetent organization I have ever encountered. I strongly recommend not renting a car from them. I had a very bad experience. Let me explain. First of all, in France, parking lots are tightly spaced. The chances are high that you will get a ding in your rental car. Sixt does not overlook small dings or scratches Note that Sixt claims to take before and after pictures of the cars to check for dings and scratches. No matter how much you check and photograph the car there will likely be scratch you did not catch. But leave yourself plenty of time to check the car, and record every petty little scratch. Therefore, you must have insurance. I have a Chase Sapphire Reserve Visa card that comes with car rental insurance, so I should not worry about the dings. Sure enough my rental car has a ding which incurs a fee of 477 Euro. Its covered by my insurance. The insurance company claims that Sixt does not accept a direct payment. And Sixt claims they cannot successfully charge my credit card. I also try to call Sixt numerous times to pay by phone and they do not answer the phone. In the end, Sixt sends this to a collection agency! Understaffed and incompetent.

    Best hire car experience I’ve ever had. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car was a dream. Will definitely use Sixt again elsewhere in the world and see if they’re as good as the Bordeaux team!

    After refusing to accept a car that was smoke damaged, I was recommended to get it exchanged at their airport office while my family was sitting and waiting outside an apartment we had rented. After argumentation back and forth, the manager arranged an exchange vehicle at the train station instead, which was "only" 20 min away, and I was promised a compensation. I was refused a similarly sized vehicle at the present office. Once at the train station I received a similar vehicle that had not been cleaned, with a dead bird in the grille, dirty wind shield, no wiper fluid, sand all-over the interior and wasn't filled up. Since I had already prepaid the 400 Euro for the car, I had no other choice than to take it. After returning the car it's been a struggle to get compensation, however, today they agreed to refund not more than 50 Euro, which is yet another slap on the cheek. I strongly recommend using Europcar or another professional company instead. Update: they now claim that I returned the car 22 minutes late when in fact the car was returned 97 minutes early-and they have charged my credit card 23 additional Euros. Since this is clearly fraud, and they refuse to pay it back, I'm filing a police complaint. Update 2: After filing a complaint to ECRCS, Sixt have now returned the 23 Euros that they overcharged me, and also refunded an additional 50 Euros according to my request.

    Peugeot 208 was clean and in good condition. My wife and I also enjoyed the quality of the service at the agency. The dialogue was friendly, the directions very clear and the location was great close to the pedestrian area were our hotel was. Keep up the good work! We will definitely rent from sixt again!

    Sixt is a vehicle rental company. Here you can rent different kinds of vehicles from economy sedans to luxury vehicles. From SUVs to sports cars. They have marques like Ford, Seat, Peugeot as well as Mercedes, Jaguar and more. You can even the the latest electric cars. The economy cars are good value for money when you rent then but the luxury cars can be very expensive.

    Car was dirty and damaged. A booking for EUR 470 ended up costing EUR 880 with the extra insurance etc. Felt cheated by extra charge of EUR 44 for refuel when I filled up at the nearest petrol station that was opened at the time almost directly to the airport!

    I just had the absolute best car rental experience with SIXT! From the moment I arrived at the Bordeaux office, I was greeted by two incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional female representatives. They went above and beyond to make my rental experience seamless and enjoyable. Not only did they ensure I received the specific BMW I had booked, but they even arranged to have it transported from the airport to the Bordeaux branch. Additionally, they took the time to help me navigate the narrow parking garage and install the child seats. The thorough car inspection and complimentary cup of coffee were the perfect finishing touches to an already exceptional experience. The only minor disappointment was the empty E-Battery of the plug-in hybrid, which limited the opportunity to utilize the electric mode within Bordeaux. However, this minor setback was far outweighed by the overall positive experience. SIXT truly exceeded my expectations and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to providing exceptional customer service.     Very easy to do business , swift and efficient for collection from Adrien who served , so well done to him. The pick up location is across the road in an underground car park, the only thing I would say is that it is very difficult to check the car over as the lighting is not great.

We pre-paid for a specific category of car one month in advance only to be told it was not available on the day of hire. Offered an upgrade which I was told would not cost extra (just a security deposit increase which would be refunded) but sadly this has not been true. I have now paid over double my intended budget which has left a hole in my finances. Sixth and this branch are now denying that my vehicle category was unavailable on the day and that I chose a voluntary upgrade - sorry but you are just blatantly lieing now. Why, when my credit card would not go through (due to suppossed increased deposit) and I asked for an alternative car you told me only a VW Golf or the upgrade was available? Fellow renters, before you sign anything, record all conversations if upgrades are offered - you've been warned!     Our experience with Sixt in Bordeaux was great. They communicated with me via email the day before to confirm my choices and pick-up and drop-off were easy.     Pretty good service in Bordeaux, very nice Peugeot 208, but careful when you drop off at another Sixt location (Biarritz) and they try to shake you down for a barely noticeable dirt mark ‘scratch’ that when I rubbed with my thumb completely disappeared... I should have known when I was handed the receipt documenting the barely visible “superficial” marks... it’s a car, you are renting to drive on the road, it will get dirty... if you can’t make money on the rental don’t shake us down at the end and hold us hostage when we need to get a flight. Just charge what it costs to run an honest business.
