I only went to the restaurant here during my tour of the island. Their dishes were incredible! They combine their excellent fried chicken with a unique strawberry dip that is a must-try. Their poutine and tartare are also delicious. Meanwhile, they let you pick your own seat with a gorgeous view of the water. Edit: I returned to try more of their excellent dishes and was not disappointed

The star of the show here is the trout tartare. The poutines were good (I had the beef cheek poutine, husband ordered the island poutine). Beware - the poutine portions are massive. The tartare absolutely won the day, and the informal concert from Simon was great. Views are nice, good service, servers are bilingual. Check it out if you're visiting the island!!

Fantastic service. Simon greeted us at the door;, he was incredibly attentive, personable, and charming. Some of the best duck confit poutine I've ever had, at a very reasonable price. Interior is beautifully furnished, and the patio is right on the water. Bilingual staff was very appreciated by my anglophone partner.

This review is for the restaurant. Worst service of our life and sub par food!! I had to get up twice to 1. Remind the server to bring my husband's beer 2. Bring myself to front to pay the bill. But the worst of it : it's so over priced for the quality, the poutine was so overdone - the potatoes were literally black. My husband felt awful after (thankfully I didn't touch it bc I knew it was bad). The lobster roll was a joke for the price. 2 small pieces of lobster and the rest was tiny shrimp. A supposedly quick lunch was a torturous 2 hours with the bad service and long wait. Trust me, no view is worth that! Not sure if they are understaffed or what is the deal. I should have heeded warning to some of the one and two star reviews - all true. There was a restaurant we ate at up the road that I had a far better experience with food and service with.

Great location! Considering the location you shall expect expensive food and they’re quite expensive. Good service and food ( not a super high quality although like a 3 star restaurants but very good) I tried to find a cheap option on the menu but that didn’t go anywhere so if you are okay to spend 120 ish and more for 2 people meal, go there and enjoy. The hotel itself is probably one of the best on the island! So level your expectations about the other places

A beautifully rustic, clean and charming home away from home. Highly recommended! The food is plentiful and absolutely delicious! We gathered at the pavillion for my huge family reunion with wonderful service

The bed was extremely firm. Very uncomfortable, we didn’t sleep well at all. The washroom needs updating. It’s unfortunate, it’s a great location with friendly staff. We stayed for 2 nights in room 300, room with a small and cozy balcony. Not worth the price.

Reasonable room with wonderful view. However, the many quirks distract from the overall experience (confusing light switches, finicky shower, tired decor and tiny TV to name just a few).

We’ve stop here for lunch, we were 9 and got seated within minutes despite being really busy. Food was great, we tried the fish and chip, dumplings and Acra and many soups of the day. Great staff and awesome view of the river. Cheers

During our week in the Quebec City region, our culinary journey led us to Île d'Orléans, where we stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant that turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Nestled amidst stormy weather, the dining experience at this establishment was nothing short of exceptional. The portions served were generous, satisfying our appetites without overwhelming us. Every bite was a delight, as the flavors danced on our taste buds. Despite the turbulent weather outside, the cozy atmosphere inside provided a perfect escape, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Our male waiter carried a hint of attitude which isn't for everyone. The crowning glory of the meal was the breathtaking view over the St. Lawrence River, offering a stunning panorama of Quebec City. The sight was mesmerizing against the backdrop of the river, creating an unforgettable scene that complemented the exquisite meal. Undoubtedly, this dining experience was the pinnacle of our week-long trip. Despite the stormy day and the waiter's distinct demeanor, the combination of delectable food, welcoming ambiance, and awe-inspiring view made it an experience we would gladly repeat. This hidden culinary treasure on Île d'Orléans is a definite must-visit, and we are already planning our return to relive the magic.

Had the lobster rolls and they were fantastic. Whatever they put in the side salad with the beets was also really good. Nice restaurant decor and very peaceful seafront atmosphere.

Came here for dinner. Ordered the Lobster Roll and their specialty poutine, "Island Poutine", both were amazing. The view was very nice too.

The Auberg La Goéliche is well located on the tip of Il d'Orleans, an easy 20 minute drive accross from Quebec City. Our rooms had a nice décore with a lovely view of the Saint Lawrence River. The staff were quite friendly and accomodating to our late booking. The hotel has an in-house restaurant that also shares the great river views. It's fun to see tugs and ships passing by while dining. The menu is limited for perhaps a couple of visits. There is parking next to the hotel and there is also an eletric car charger spot.

I had the beet salad and it was fantastic! I would highly recommend eating here. I wish I remembered our server’s name (I know he enters bicycle races), as he was an excellent server. Very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend eating here and will return if I am in the area.

The food was a little overpriced but okay and the view is really cool. Unfortunately our waiter was extremely unfriendly.

A great spot for a sunny lunch on the patio after a beautiful drive around the island. We really enjoyed the food, including a delicious creamy carrot soup and a fantastic lobster roll sandwich on a pretzel bun. Great service as well!

Great view of Quebec from this auberge. The duck poutine was on the sweet side and the fish croquettes were delicious 😋

Fancy-looking restaurant at the tip of the island with a short but delicious menu and a pretty view of the Saint Lawrence River. The salads are very tasty and the portions are decent, the wine selection is ample and the personnel is knowledgeable. In the picture: Fish n chips

The restaurant is by the water. The food and the service was excellent. We ordered the "Deer" which was deer meat, very tender, with king mashrooms and green beans from the garden, and the "Ravioli with beef stew" which was really good too. Unique cooking and very tasty. I would recommend both these dishes.

Food was not good at all. Stale bread and the poutine tasted like anything but poutine. There is no service whatsoever, you order from a food truck and sit yourself. Just don't go.

The food is extremely over priced relative to its quality and the dining experience (no table service). If paying high prices and eating out of a box with plastic cutlery is your thing, this is the place for you! The only redeeming quality is the view of the St. Lawrence River. Every other restaurant in the Quebec area has figured out how to operate to a high quality during the pandemic, but not the esteemed Goeliche!

We were driving around the île d’ Orléans and stopped by for lunch at this beautiful place. Even during the local lock down due to COVID, the restaurant was still open for take out and the owner of this hotel was more than hospitable. While the menu was limited we absolutely enjoyed their lobster roll (the freshest lobster I’ve had in awhile) as well as Duck Mini Pogos and Fried Chicken (the dipping sauce was to die for). Would highly recommend this place and we will be returning.

Beautiful view on the St Laurent river that was impossible to enjoy because the outdoor eating/ drinking area was INFESTED with wasps. The tables were full of leftovers food and drinks in a 30•c heat. Food was ok, nothing special. Would not recommend for the price.
