We have been coming here for years. Bic Camera is my "go to" place for electronics! Sogo has a great selection of shops and restaurants! Pretty busy on weekends.

A reasonable prices place

Mid range clothes and merchandise. Very good selection of food and restaurants (level 7 or 9). At this location (Omiya), not too crowded compared to Tokyo.

Great department store with lots of clothing stores and essentials. Nice food section at the bottom too.

Probably the busiest spot in Saitama. Sogo by itself is just a small part of this place. You're sure to be able to get what you need here (Be it you're a tourust or locals).

Being a Gaijin, I see and evaluate things a bit differently. In my professional role, I'm a trained Assessor so I look at places and situations with a structured view. Overall, the Sogo store at Omiya Station is a good performer. The store is clean and well laid out. The variety and quality of products is quite good and they offer a wide range of products. Where they lose one star is in their lack of English language signs and speaking abilities. If you are comfortable and confident using the Google Translate app, you can do okay...but Sogo's lack of non-Japanese language support (signage or spoken) is a consideration if you're planning to go there.

I like Sogo. The building itself is a real gem of 70s bubble architecture. The old girl is getting a little long in the tooth, but there are still some great shops, especially the food kiosks in the ground level. I am partial to the fish masala curry at the Indian place.

Good location for shopping.

Hokkaido experience is hold today. This ramen is so nice!!
