Nice place, but it felt more like being in a hotel. The atmosphere had nothing to do with a hostel. I had the veggie plate for dinner which was delicious and for breakfast I went for the avocado toast with potato wedges(picture) which was average. It’s located just outside of the city (town) center. P.s.: the floor in the 8 bed dorm was noise as hell. Woke up in the morning several times. So I would go for the 6 bed dorm instead!

Great hostel that makes you feel like you're in a hotel instead of a hostel. Amazing views and clean bedrooms. Only thing to improve is the shower in the big dorm, it really needs repairing!!

Lovely hostel with a beautiful view of the town . Beds are AMAZING! Only issue is the LOUD floor boards...They drived me crazy at night and in the morning. Other than that the hostel is perfect. Most of the staff are helpful. Kitchen is across the road. Restaurant is lovely. (Needs free coffee...)

We had been looking for a place to lunch and found the Luciernaga via Google. The food was nice (cheeseburger, tagliatelle, spare ribs and a sandwich) which were nice. This place's main attraction is the marvellous view and we found it hard to leave.

Decent enough hostel - beds are ok but I’m not as raving as some people on here - the hosts are lovely and the view is knockout from the balconies, seriously its amazing. The location is great - just 5 minutes from the centre of town... (Well everything is is Salento). The double room with balcony means you can’t access all around the bed, and the double without balcony gives you more space. The bathroom is prohibitively small and will mean you have to straddle the toilet to brush your teeth. One thing that would improve the hostel is putting down a mat or something in the hallway as the sound carries on the bare wood and we were woken as soon as anybody came into the hostel... and I’m not a light sleeper. Can’t comment on the restaurant it wasn’t open during our entire stay, which was a shame. Great WiFi and Free coffee in the lobby.

The food price was ok, compared to what you get in the town. But you get 10% less if you are already guest. The food is a little gourmet, more oriented to foreigners. Is not typical food. For the double private room the price is very good. Everything is clean. They offered a nice service. The room is small but its fine. There is a beautiful view from the restaurant! Totally recommended

AMAZING! The most beautiful hostel I’ve ever stayed at - better than most in Europe. We had a private room and bathroom with two separate beds and it felt like a hotel. Every room (from what we saw) has a sliding glass door with a walk out balcony and incredible views of the adorable town of Salento and the mountains. Very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The restaurant downstairs was delicious. They have a little patio in the back where you can sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. The staff was incredibly helpful in planning our excursions. Location was perfect because it wasn’t right in the main plaza with the noise, but close enough to walk and far enough to have lovely views. About a 7 minute walk from the main plaza where all the buses come and go and where the jeeps leave for Cocora Valley. I will absolutely be back!!! <3

We went to the restaurant because some friends recommended it. We ordered the food and when the chicken dish came, it looked grey-ish and tasted like nothing. The other dish had vegetables, among them raw broccolis. We were a little disappointed about the food but went on ordering two drinks. While I was drinking my cocktail, I suddenly found a bug in the drink. We then immediately told the waitress and ordered the bill because we didn't feel comfortable. She then proceeded to charge us for all the food and drinks, even though we hardly touched the chicken dish and there was a bug in the cocktail. We then went on to pay, but will certainly never come back and never recommend the place.

Went with a group of 16. The food was good but most dishes took over an hour to come and they forgot about one persons order completely. Better and more authentic places in Salento.
