Nice pool for lap swimming. Rooms are spartan but clean and quiet. Check in a huge fiasco that took 25 minutes. We both had American passports and "the system" would only put one non-Brazilian in a room. What?!? Breakfast acceptable except for awful coffee. The place is fine if you don't care about luxury and can get a very good price.

The years have not been kind to this hotel. What was once a smart choice for the price in Salvador, is now simply unnaceptable and possibly a health hazard. Mold lines the corridor ceilings (see photo), rooms are not properly cleaned, bathroom fixtures are old and work quite poorly, staff is impatient and unprofessional (probably not their fault, but management's). Short story: on my latest stay here (I had no other choice, all similar priced hotels were booked) the front desk gave me the card to a room that was simply not cleaned after the last guest. After going down and asking for another room, the next had no sofa on the small TV room (I guess you could always sit on the dirty floor?). Anyway, this is a hotel with a long history and I hope they are able to bounce back - for now, avoid it.

Very nice room and a good restaurant. Breakfast buffet is getting better every week. The downside is the gym. The only equipment available is difficult to handle and could be replaced by a better one. Treadmills and weights are available too. The price is fair for the hotel.

Normal breakfast for Brazilian standards, room was clean and comfortable and the gym room was ok, but at the booking they should have informed that the swimming pool would be closed.

A very nice hotel, kept very clean with a professional staff. Although location might have been better - far from city center and usable beach for those who want to just lay down on the beach.

Gave 4 stars because of the old infrastructure. Buuut overall experience really good! Amazing breakfast, very good to participate in congresses, good location also

Great location and confortable room. But, I had some problems: the room smells funny and I asked for a triple room and everyday the hotel replace only two towels

Modern room with good facilities, floor a little dirty. Located in the modern part of Salvador. There was a wide variety of food available at breakfast.
