I appreciated learning about Carnevial. However, the videos are too long and there are no seats. People were sitting on the floor. Please add some seating options.

I thoroughly enjoyed this museum and learned a lot while I was there. I had a little trouble getting inside because COVID vaccinations are required and I don't know enough Portuguese to know the words for vaccination card, but a member of the staff came outside to help me communicate with the guard. Once inside you are given an audio guide (in whatever language you prefer), which will explain the videos you're seeing throughout the museum. I didn't know much about the museum before I arrived but I ended up spending about 2-2.5 hours there because I wanted to watch each video in its entirety. After you've watched the videos on the first level you can head upstairs to the movie rooms for an interactive experience. Before you leave make sure you go to the top floor, which has a cafe and great views! *if the staff come across this review I would suggest adding portable folding stools in the rooms on the main floor because the videos are quite long and if you watch each one, you'll be tired of standing up by the time you leave the room.*

A very fun and interesting experience; worth having the headset that syncs with the video displays. The dancing class on the 2nd floor is great, the preamble beforehand takes too long.

Free entrance on Wednesdays. Nice place to get to know more about Bahia's carnival culture. Beautiful views from the top floor.

For someone that loves history and Brasilian music! This is the place for you. We spent over 2 hours at all the interactive displays and learned a ton about the music that i thought I already knew... for Carnaval fans do not miss

Very detailed video footage and audio information about the history of carneval. Earphones and audio are handed out at the entrance to the museum. There are several screens with videos and historical information, very easy to follow. To round the experts off there's a room with dancing instructions on a screen, you can dress up to look the part too.

No audio guide given later in the day. The museum itself is lively, including rooms to dance in!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when getting into this place but we really enjoyed it the first floor there are plenty of history to be seen and to be heard and the second and third floor are full of surprises with you practicing the original traditional dance of carnival and you get the chance to play all the musical instruments as well so I suggest you go and pay a visit

One of the best museums I have ever visited. It takes 2-3 hrs to understand fully, how the carnaval functioned in integration of that multicultural society. It is not only videos from the carnavals but mainly how these happened to be conseptualized, organized and realized.

I adore this museum, one of my all-time favourites. Such an intentionally interactive experience. A Salvador must-visit!
