Very bad experience! Owner asked for upfront payment and then sold room to others and did not refund. Had to look for another room and had double the cost. Don’t book this one. Rooms look terrible - only separated by thin wood boards and curtains. These are no proper rooms. Better stay away from this one!

Le rapport qualité prix est déplorable. Nous avons payer 600€ pour une chambre. Nous nous sommes retrouve sans chasse d’eau et avec une douche cassée nous avons donc dû utiliser équipements commun. Nous avons demander une petite ristourne et le gérant nous a tout simplement insulter et mépriser à la sortie. De plus scandale ! l’établissement loue des lits inexistants et fait dormir les gens dans les espaces communs et si ils refusent ils ne rembourse pas ( en période de carnaval c’est très compliqué de se rabattre sur un autre logement à la dernière minute ) tout simplement inadmissible ! Nous nous sommes retrouvé à 5 dans une chambre de 6lit malheureusement le propriétaire nous a affirmé que la chambre était uniquement prévu pour 4. nous avons dû louer un lit en dortoir pour la 5eme personne, sachant que ce lit n’existait pas ! lorsqu’on lui a fais part de notre énieme mécontentement il nous a répondu “c’est du marketing, ça marche comme ça ici” vraiment execrable !

Definitely not a typical hostel, but still a pleasant stay. The building is beautiful, with a big open room for activities, however the use of that space is fairly rare, and theres not a lot to get involved with, which is a shame. Kitchen & Shared bathroom are basic but fulfil all the essentials. No real communal areas to chill and talk, apart from outside in the courtyard. Location is fantastic. Right next to the main historical part of town 'Pelourinho'. Alfred, who was our host was really friendly, and tried to help us find things to do, and with all our requests, and he made the stay really enjoyable. Probably a little expensive in terms of value for money but definitely worth going if you are travelling on a budget.
