If
you're
looking
to
stay
in
the
middle
of
Pelorinho,
then
this
is
beautiful
little
pousada
is
the
place
for
you.
The
pousada
itself
is
gorgeous
and
clean
with
very
helpful
staff
-
probably
the
best
pousada
I've
stayed
at
in
Brazil!
There's
marble
every
where,
it's
very
clean
and
well
done,
and
the
only
gotcha
inside
the
hotel
is
that
it's
small
with
at
least
one
flight
of
stairs
to
get
to
your
room
and
no
elevator
(definitely
not
accessible!).
Also:
the
A/C
worked
well,
which
was
very
badly
needed
in
hot
Salvador
over
New
Year's!
The
gotcha
is
that
Pelourinho,
despite
being
the
historic
centre
of
the
city,
is
not
the
greatest
neighborhood.
There
are
lots
of
homeless
around,
and
I
certainly
didn't
feel
particularly
safe
walking
the
streets
there.
Bottom
line:
beautiful
gem
of
a
pousada
in
the
middle
of
the
historic
part
of
Salvador,
just
beware
that
the
neighborhood
itself
isn't
the
greatest.
Would
definitely
recommend
staying
here
if
you're
going
to
stay
in
Pelorinho.
