Note: we paid half price and visited in Oct 2023, before official launch. They hadn't had their wines in yet at the time. Having had the privilege of eating at some fine restaurants around the world, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience at Sopa. A 9-course menu, executed to near perfection by the head chef (who trained at a 3-star restaurant in Spain) and his team. Hit after hit, there was no dull moment. Flavours & Tempo were spot on, the chefs came to present & explain their creations. The paella was so good we ordered more. The dessert was incredible, but we were already bursting at the seams. It's much better than some 1-star restaurants in Bangkok (1 of which we don't understand how they have a star). The only downside is the waitress really lets the place down. She is sweet, polite, attentive, but needs a lot more training and experience. Hopefully they can improve on this as they chase their stars. Would definitely go back though. Food: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Experience: 5/5 Service: 3/5 (only for lack of ability to present the food & understand us speaking in English) Value: 5/5

A new fine dinning Spanish resteraunt owned by young chef Capper, who trained in Paris and is chasing 3 Michelin stars. We had the six course tasting menu, excellent value, but its not perfect and I'm sure it will improve over time. The staff are friendly, but need more training. Chef works hard and with the open kitchen it's great to see him constantly coaching his staff. I really hope this place is successful and constantly strives to improve to get Michelin status.

Wonderful dining experience. The waitress is friendly and polite. All dishes were beautifully presented and tasted really good too. Quite limited parking space.

A fantastic experience, the menu is very interesting and most dishes tasted very good indeed. The owner coming over to explain his thoughts behind some of them was a nice touch. The setting is also unique in that you can literally sit above the kitchen and see the next dish be prepared. Both taste and presentation are spot on. Location is nyt the easiest to get to without a grab, and one you would definitely not stumble upon. I hope they gain enough attention to overcome this. The only downside was the service - other than the owner, there is a rather big language barrier. This should be quite fixable and hopefully they will do so. They also offered a slight discount for leaving a 5 star review on the spot which we declined due to wanting to write a more in depth one. It is also a bit of a shame as they really don't need to do something like this - I would much prefer the offer not be tied to a certain score, but a review overall. Regardless, this place very easily beat the Michelin star restaurant we also visited during the trip, and I very much look forward to visiting again in the future.

I was surprised to have very nice spanish food in the area so I read the reviews and gave it a try. The ambience was good and the kitchen was open. My server was nice and energetic. I tried the 9 courses menu since I would like to know the true tastes of this restaurant and I would say it was fusion food with main spanish and a mixture of Thai with a bit of Japanese ingredients. The plating and presentation were nice and adorable. Some of menu were bland but overall was good and perfect for the price and taste. I think they will get settled with the recipe soon since they just opened. My preferences of the tasting menu were croquetas, fideua, paella, cannelloni (very surprised), and crema catalana. TBH, they have a very good wine selection to pair with foods as well. Hope they can get the stars they wish🙏 I would come back for a la carte if I could.

We celebrated our anniversary with a nine-course dinner for two at a recently launched Spanish haute cuisine restaurant. The chef demonstrated expertise, offering a unique experience with Spanish dishes infused with a Thai twist. Although the service was excellent, it could be enhanced if the waitstaff had stronger English communication skills. Despite this, we highly recommend the restaurant.

A small newly opened hidden gem in this area, nice presentation and inspiration yet still need a little touch to find the perfect balance of Spanish x Thai. The overall experience is good, attentive staffs, humble chef, location is easy to find.

Try the tasting menu and love all of them. The oxtail in tapas picnic one is outstanding. Prawns in paella are perfectly cooked. Chief Pepper and his staff are so nice and friendly. We definitely will come back for next tasting menu.
