I
was
staying
for
a
while
at
a
hotel
nearby
and
stumbled
upon
this
place.
I
decided
to
return
for
dinner
on
a
Saturday
night
and
was
surprised
I
was
the
only
guest.
I
learned
it
is
typically
quite
busy
but
post-holiday
could
explain
the
lull.
That
was
fine,
I
enjoy
quiet
dinners
and
the
decor
and
music
were
nice
atmosphere.
I
pretty
much
already
knew
I
wanted
to
try
the
special
of
690
baht
for
a
glass
of
Sauvignon
Blanc
(imported)
+
Carbonara
+
Caesar
Salad.
I
was
served
promptly.
The
wine
was
beautiful,
cold,
and
crisp.
The
Caesar
Salad
was
tasted
like
the
dressing
was
heavy
on
mayonnaise?
And
a
bit
too
salty
for
my
taste.
Also,
perhaps
they
ran
out
of
Parmiggianp
Reggiano?
There
were
none
of
the
large
shavings
as
pictured
and
that
is
part
of
the
delight
(and
$)
of
ordering
a
Caesar
Salad.
My
opinion:
salad
was
average
sized
and
underwhelming.
I
opted
for
Fettuccine
as
my
pasta
of
choice
for
the
Carbonara
and
the
"with
cream"
option.
It
was
tasty
but
for
me
a
bit
watery
and
messy:
the
cream
was
very
liquid-y
and
splashed
all
over.
The
pancetta
was
good
-
could
have
been
cooked
a
smidge
more.
Think
the
portion
was...
average?
It
came
with
an
egg
yolk
that
you
mix
in
yourself
as
a
nice
touch.
I
had
an
additional
glass
of
Montepulciano
that
was
good.
Overall,
the
place
is
nice,
the
concept
cool.
I
suppose
for
Bangkok
and
price
point
that
was
why
I
left
a
bit
hungry
lol
The
main
server
is
nice
and
seems
fairly
knowledgeable
about
the
food.
Not
sure
about
the
wine
though.
I
found
out
later
it
was
actually
the
owner
who
greeted
me
and
took
my
order
(studied
in
Switzerland
I
was
told
by
the
server).
A
small
point:
I
was
the
only
guest.
I
think
it
would
have
been
nice
to
come
inquire
what
I
thought
about
the
food
after
but
no
interest
there.
I
do
actually
reside
in
Bangkok
and
generally
if
there's
not
much
to
do
it's
always
a
nice
touch
(and
good
practice?)
to
talk
to
people,
inquire
about
their
experience
and
express
personal
gratitude
for
the
patronage.
I
also
love
talking
all
things
culinary
so
would
have
loved
to
hear
about
the
journey.
I
wonder
sometimes
if
I
am
too
nit-picky
and
I
guess
it
comes
from
15+
years
in
hospitality
(world-rated
places,
etc)
so
take
my
review
for
what
you
will
as
I
notice
things
most
people
would
not.
There's
other
reviews
that
extol
Michelin-potential:
I
wouldn't
go
that
far
-
yet.
The
place
does
have
outstanding
unique
qualities
and
potential
for
the
market
though.
Seems
like
it'd
be
a
good
place
to
splurge
on
a
dinner
with
a
date
or
small
group.
Good
luck
to
them
