This place deserves its rating and more! The place is small so you may want to plan on an alternative place to enjoy your meal. The employees were accommodating, personable, and professional. The prices and food quality are top notch. The chips and drinks prices were a little high though. Got the cheesesteak sub and hotdog which were excellent. The sub had perfect combo of meat, peppers, mayo, and onions on a toasted bun. The excellently grilled hot dog came with onions, ketchup, mustard, and cheese also on toasted bun. They do not have fries but the sandwiches were enough for me. Will make a special trip there (maybe a couple) next time I am in San Antonio.

We stopped in for lunch during our visit to downtown San Antonio. The food a service was excellent. The place is very small with limited seating. The Cheese Steak sandwiches were very delicious and full of flavor. The hash browns was delicious and cooked to perfection. The location is great and very convenient to the Riverwalk.

I had two of their breakfast tacos. They are very good! Green salsa comes with for a good pairing. The place is small, perfect place for a grab and go or there are a few tables to sit and enjoy your meal. I would definitely recommend. I had Carna Guisada (meat in a gravy) And Chorizo and egg.

The service was great and the food was delicious. If your looking for fresh out of the kitchen just like at home this is the place. Also very clean, and reasonable pricing👌

Love this place. Carne Guisada breakfast taco was out of this world! Chorizo and egg… awesome. Hash browns- told them to “mess me up” and they did. It was great. Large portions and fresh ingredients.

Wow this place is great! The owner and staff were all so friendly and the food was incredible. I had a chorizo taco with bacon and avocado, and if I had room in my stomach I would've had three more. We will be coming here every time we visit San Antonio!

Locally owned great little restaurant. The food and staff are amazing, and it’s perfectly clean and welcoming. The Street Tacos were my personal favorite and served with ample tomatillo sauce and hot sauce.

Me and my friend were visiting SA and on the way to another restaurant. A nice man walked by to let us know the whereabouts of his restaurant & told us we should give it a try. We decided to give it a try& I’m SO GLAD we did. The customer service was unmatched, there wasn’t a wait, & the food was amazing! Everything was fresh and full of flavor!!!!! The barbacoa tacos were delicious (and huge). And the Texan bacon egg & cheese sandwich was good too!!!

Came here for lunch and really liked it. I ate a Texan patty melt and brisket taco. The patty melt was good but the taco was awesome. I wish I would’ve just gotten 2 tacos. The taco was $10 but it’s loaded down with juicy brisket and would be filling for most people. The tortilla is lightly toasted which adds the little bit of texture difference to really make it good. It’s a small place with limited seating but it’s right across the street from a park where you could take your food. I just sat at one of the two tables that are right outside. It’s also really close to the Alamo which is how I ended up here so it makes a perfect spot to eat either before or after walking around there.

Texas Sizzle was not what I expected. A very small spot, possibly designed for takeout. The food was excellent but it is counter service only. The food comes very quickly and taste very good. The staff were very friendly. If you are looking for a quick bite with no other amenities it is very good. If you like to sit and enjoy a meal it may not be the place for you.

Small place with great food. Staff was friendly. Food was fresh. Brisket quesadilla was tender and flavorful. Steak and cheese was well seasoned and cooked right. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely go back.

At first I was sceptical. San Antonio being such a vast and saturated place of small wonderful restaurants of all types, how was Texan sizzle going to compare? Noticed the place was cute and quaint, wasn't busy at the time, which was nice. I ordered the Texan cheese steak, as recommended to me by the lady working the register. It was a great portion, looked juicy, perfectly cooked, cheese flowing and hoagie toasted lightly. First bite.. wow.. I immediately recognized that this wasn't going to be just a quick bite before resuming my day. But an experience. As the flavors danced in a harmonic melody of amazement, the euphoria that followed dilated time, made my hairs stand on end, and was reminiscent of back in school, head on desk..jumping awake as you succumb to the feel of falling. What felt like an instant was in reality a few minutes past. Second bite.. I had to brace myself, because I knew that my standard of "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants was about to be obliterated, as this anxiety and excitement came over me. I couldn't wait another moment, and took the second bite. And it did not disappoint, as I was rocketed with a feeling of nostalgia, transported back to my grandmother's dinner table. Tears start to form and the presence of unconditional love vibrantly shook my body. I could hear my grandmother ask me "how is it" and consciously I let out a "I love it" awkwardly as I was sitting in the restaurant. When finishing the sandwich I was saddened by the realization that my inquisitive journey through my meal was coming to it's end. I kept striving forward though with confidence.. as all things in this life come to an end eventually. If I could rate this place higher then I would. 👏👏👏

Fabulous lunch! Friendly owner and staff serving excellent food. Had the Texas Cheesesteak sandwhich which was grilled to perfection with great flavor. Bacon cheeseburger made with fresh ingredients and good proportions. Under $10 for an ala carte burger. Located on Jefferson Ave., this small restaurant is worth the visit.

Located downtown San Antonio, this unique eatery is adequately named. Serving Tex-Mex favorites reasonably priced. Small, but comfortable for a quick bite.

This place had the best burger!!!! I was so surprised at how yummy it was. The bun isn’t too thick so it’s not all bread like most restaurants. Which allows the meat to really shine through. You have to visit here if you’re in downtown! Worth it!!
