👍👍 Super neat space tucked in the heart of Little Italy near downtown San Diego. Went today to take our pup for a corgi gathering and it didn't disappoint. Super neat space tucked in the heart of Little Italy near downtown San Diego. Went today to take our pup for a corgi gathering and it didn't disappoint. There is are a ton of paid lots around the park but if you're going to try to find free spots on a weekend, you're going to have a bad time. Most of the people there are local residents that have parking in their high rises but for the rest of us to get a spot it's a tough task. We did find one reasonably quick. But the park area is neat and lots of really friendly people with the paw friends.

Great dog park! It has beautiful gates, plenty of space to run in the “big dog” section, lots of tennis balls and water bowls, adequate seating and some shade. There’s a separate “small dog” section that is very small. The park is mostly turf with a tiny dirt section at the very end. Open late first Monday of the month for cleaning.

Free dog park available for all, it has a newly groomed grass, clean, dogs go wild and free there. There were some freebies there for pet owners. Very convenient spot by Little Italy close to the ramp from I5. Packed on weekends specially because of the farmers market.

Best dog park in the city. All fake grass so no dirt to have to wash out after a visit. It is also completely fenced which allows my big Labradoodle to get some serious running in. The dog owners at this park seem to be the most responsible of all the parks I've visited.

Love this little urban dog park--mainly because it's fully enclosed and has astroturf instead of dirt which helps keep our puppers clean. As is true anywhere, there's always an issue with owners who don't pick up after their dogs, but I see other owners jump in to clean up all the time. Parking can be challenging (it's metered) and don't even bother during the farmers market. Otherwise it's a great spot. It's our go-to dog park over all others in the area.

My Bruno has an amazing time here! Cleanest dog park in SD by far, nice owners and pups there. Even have coffee available so you can just sit & chill. They definitely need some more chairs to sit though.

This neighborhood has terrible people with I'll behaved dogs.

This park is nice and full of friendly dogs..for the most part. It seems that some owners dont take it seriously when other owners mention that their dog is nipping other dogs. Its pretty bad when multiple people tell you this about the same bald guy with a hat and ear plugs and his husky. Cute dog, but clearly does not know the limits of his play. Other than that the park is nice, yes it has a strong pee odor and there is poop that hasnt been picked up, but for the most part its okay. Most people are very friendly, its just one or two that seem to ruin it for everyone.

Relatively small, turf instead of real grass holds in the potty smell a lot more. Bonus points for plenty of seating areas for the 2 legged folks.

Best dog park in San Diego. All the puppy parents watch their little ones with great care. The park is clean and always fun. It is our puppy's favorite place.

It's a nice dog park a bit stinky though. It would be nice if it could get pressure washed once in a while.

This is a great place to bring your pup for a fun time! There are covered tables and plenty of room to spread out, but my only complaint is that there are no amenities for humans i.e. restrooms, vending machines, etc. It can also be a bit noisy since it’s right by the highway off ramp.

  • 4/5 Emma S. 2 years ago on Google
We love this park but it DESPERATELY needs more shading. The dogs tend to crowd in the shaded area because all of their humans hang out under the small portion of shade. Some shade sails would significantly improve this park.

It's usually well maintained and a good spot for the pups to run free. Parking can be difficult Saturdays due to the farmer's market. If you park on the other side of the 5 and walk over there are always spots! The only negative is people on their phones to preoccupied to give their pets attention.

Only gave 4 stars due to no public restrooms and limited paid parking

It's small and probably great if you live in the area or want to give your dog a break from the Saturday Farmers Market. It's also adjacent to an outdoor , shady snack/coffee bar, so it's a place for a human with a dog to take a break from the Farmers market crowd as well. On the other hand, it's not worth driving there, especially on a Saturday, if want your dog to run and get some exercise. I am not keen on dog parks anyway so this one did not change my mind. Oh, the water fountain for the dogs didn't work, and the guy at the coffee bar on the day I went, didn't like dogs.

One of my favorite parks in San Diego. fenced, clean…. people are nice and also the dogs are very nice there. Parking can be a little challenging, but It’s worth it

Nice little park in the city but as others have said, nobody pays attention to their dogs. I picked up after several other owners.

  • 5/5 David C. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly Dogs including a smaller park for small dogs under 30 pounds! Recently redone to include more sun relief for you and your pet and still retains an all turf place for your dog to run! People are friendly and there is a small coffee shop nearby too!

Great Park with a great sense of community with the pub parents. Just gets a little bit crowded for the bigger dogs at certain times of the day

  • 4/5 Valeria J. 1 year ago on Google
amazing, they have a coffe shop inside and a separate area for small and big dogs, amazing environment

  • 3/5 Jason N. 4 months ago on Google
Nice area to meet dogs. Mostly friendly. Watch out for the poo on the ground though. Owners could pick up after their dogs more. Not very interactive for a dog park. I think some people think this park is a dog-care. Their eyes are on their phones and not their dog or surroundings. The few fights occurred when an absent minded owner was not paying attention. For these reasons I give it a three

Great dog park for socializing and playing. All turf so a clean experience if your dog is like ours and loves to roll in the dirt when given the opportunity. Typically busy with 20+ dogs mornings and again around 5p.

  • 5/5 T-Cat S. 6 months ago on Google
Special little place that also includes a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop. The owners are not aggressively involved in their dog's playtime, which is a boon.

  • 5/5 Momma P. 6 months ago on Google
Very well maintained dog park. Parking can get difficult during busy times of day, but this is definitely a great place to bring your pup to play. Grab a coffee and empanada at the stand right next to the park, they are delicious!

This is a great place to bring your dog. Almost every pet owner I have come across there were really nice, respectable, respectful and all around good dog owners. You will always have a few that suck but that's to be expected. I like this place.

Cute little dog park close to downtown. Many seats available for pet parents. Parking is limited and you have to pay to park right in front of the park

It is a nice, laid back doggy wonderland! The people are nice and there is a coffee cart to the side with decent prices!

  • 3/5 Elise Joy A. 5 years ago on Google
The best option around to run your pup. It used to be half dirt and the turf never seemed to be properly/regularly cleaned, plus the dog water fountain hardly works... but they've been making improvements. With construction it will randomly be closed for a few days at a time, and at peak times there are just too many dogs.l for the space. It also shares a fence with a school playground and the kids at recess can fire up a barking frenzy. There is no dog wash station here or even nearby.

Cute section for the small dogs ❤️

Our dog buster loves coming out to the Little Italy Dog Park! He loves the open space and since he's a little guy, he likes the smaller area closed off for small dogs as well. It's in a great location as well because it's walking distance from the food court area of Little Italy. Only issue I have is that parking could suck depending on when you come, but that's not the dog parks problem... It's Little Italy.

Wonderful dog park ... Clean astroturf, water fountains, tables-chairs-umbrellas. Super friendly dog people, nice dogs. There's an enclosed area for little dogs, but mostly they come out to play with the big dogs. Paid parking nearby.

I came here for a visit from NY because I was missing my dogs back home. The people were friendly and their dogs were well behaved. Dogs didn't bully others. People were more mindful of this than the dog parks on Long Island where things often get out of hand. The park was clean with plenty of seating, overall very nice dog park.

I have a 13 year old, 12 lb dog, so I was happy to see a separate area for small dogs. At first we were the only ones there, but eventually another elder dog joined us. It was great for them to get in a casual sniff and some off leash time without having to worry about boisterous, big dogs scaring them.

Beware pet parents, your pet will surely love this place and you might not want to leave too! Little coffee stand, access to bathroom and clean surrounding, lots of shade from trees, been here both Sunday & Monday morning, I’be been able to find parking easily nice to spend some quality time with your pets.

  • 5/5 Sydney H. 3 years ago on Google
Love this dog park! One of my favorites and we frequent it often. Well behaved dogs and mostly friendly owners. Some owners don’t want your dogs playing with their dogs so be mindful of that if you have a dog you can’t control. Love that it’s all turf so the dogs don’t need a bath after. There’s water bowls and a fountain as well as a cute coffee shop connected to the park. What more could you ask for?! Early morning is the best time to come otherwise it can get quite crowded and parking can be an issue.

This park is the closest dog park in our neighborhood. Small, usually clean, never really packed. Only downside is it generally smells like urine. Human or animal, I'm not sure.

Plenty of dogs for your dog to play with and nicely located. It's astroturf and smells kind of bad though (it is a dog park).

  • 5/5 Taylor L. 4 years ago on Google
Beautifully taken care of park! Turf park so your puppy won’t get dirty! Lots of seating and some in the shade under umbrellas. Not great parking though.

  • 5/5 Danielle M. 4 years ago on Google
The perfect dog park! Fenced in, turf ground, water fountain, plenty of benches and tables, and a separate area for small dogs, if needed! Also there are older reviews that complain about the small dog area not having anything to block the space between the bars of the fencing, but they fixed that!

AstroTurf, not dirt. Big dog area, and a small got area. We've only met friendly dogs and owners at this dog park.

    Small, but nice.

Nice dog park but it stinks really bad. Not much parking. Hard to clean up the poop from the turf. But beyond that its a nice place to take your dogs if you don't want them to get too dirty.
