A nice short 3km walk with view that overlooks the city and a view of the 2 pagodas. Trail is actually on a ridge but trees surrounding the area makes it not scary. Spectacular views, lots of interesting trees along the way. Path is easy to walk, some climbing but resting areas along the way. To go on the trail you need to have a local guide guide you as part of the national park regulations. Went near holiday, can get busy and need to wait for available guide. At the view point it was very nice, though downside is you will see smogs on specific days. Guide was friendly and considerate with regards to speed.

A wonderful trail filled with tourists. Once you get over the quite crowded starting area, it's a peaceful walk especially when you get out of the forest. You cannot go without a guide and they charge you 200 tbh per group.

Idyllic walk through the nature. About 2-2.5hrs doe the whole trail. View from summit is magnificent, above the clouds! Good for beginners and can get warm even during winter. For those with knee issues, can take the stick from the start and ask guide to hold for you until descend. Will need to pay 200baht for the local guide to support the country. Can watch sunrise or sunset at the viewpoint prior to climbing

Absolutely worth it, the views are amazing! We got there just before 4pm(when it closes), and paid a guide 200baht to take us to the viewing points. It was a beautiful time of day to see the mountains (although was getting a little cool). We didn't realise it was a 3km round trip otherwise we would have gotten there a bit earlier! The waterfalls and huge trees are breathtaking, so peaceful at that time of day

21 Dec 2023. We woke up about 5am to get ready to move to this place. When we arrived, many people already got their best viewing position for the sun raise. Unfortunately the cloud was too thick, so no change to see the first light. Then we started to move out from this base to the peak. The temperature was 11 degree Celsius. When we were back to the base, started to feel hungry and was looking for hot steam bun. The bun got 8 different types of fillings such as salted egg yolk, mushroom, meat and etc. Something unique that I haven't see before this.

*Not a begginers hike, lots of ups and downs* *Can sometimes be rushed to finish within a certain time* If you are having trouble keeping up you usually only do the first climbing and then go back Other than that, good nature hike, the guide was great and very knowledgeable.

It's about 2 hours to do the entire trail. I consider myself quite fit and active but there were some difficult parts where the climb was steep so the steps built were quite high and my quads were on fire 😂 Really worth the trek to see the view though. Absolutely breathtaking! There were locals to help keep you on track and help take care of you if anything happens.

The walk itself is very beautiful, yet fairly short. Only 2 km so if you’re expecting a long trail enjoying the views and the summit you won’t get it. ( talking about the summit just because people working in the park told me that this way leads to the summit which is not true ). As everyone we had to hire a “tour guide” which is useless as the trail is very well marked, impossible to get lost, moreover our guide didn’t say a word in English. I wouldn’t mind paying for a real guide but to have “a shadow” behind you it’s not really fun. Apparently, all the trails within this park are paid which once again would be okey if the “tour guide” was a real guide sharing knowledge and experience with you.

It’s a perfect place you can go for Nature Trail with local guide who can speak English really well. Weather is around 11degree in November, be prepared and wear ling pants to protect bugs, flies. Sunglasses is a much to take it with you.

I love it here. It's a 3 km trail that can complete in 1.5-2 hours. I didn't 1.45 hours. It's required to hire a guide, which costs 200 thb per group, at the entrance. The trail and view are so beautiful. The day we went has a lot of fog. It's beautiful, however can't see the view. This could be great if you scare of height because the fog blocks you from seeing how high you are.

The trail is not for beginner hikers because you have to walk ups and downs stairs, sometimes the track is quite steep and narrow. For us it took 1.50 hr, but it depends on your fitness level.. We were also lucky because the weather is clear and less foggy, and we saw wild roses, blue bugs also an amazing meadow plus clouds below us!! Since the trail is going up to the high mountains, you need to prepare a mosquito repellent and fleece jacket &/ rain jacket because you never know what the weather will be up there. Bear in mind, most of the tour guides have limited English, they might not really help you to explain things but they will make sure that you follow order by not going out of the trail.

Awesome trail. We trail for 2hours in 4km, took lots of Pictures and enjoyed the nature. Unbelievable, a spot you can’t missed. Recommend timing 7am to 12pm, after that it’s super hot. Cautious! Not recommended for elderly or people who have any medical conditions.

Excellent trail for beginners. We are group of 5 including one 8 yrs old. The first part and the returning trail (near end) are so so. Highlight of the trek is where we get to see the 360 amazing view from the top. Have phone with full battery. Some hydration and snack you are good to go.

Absolute must-do when visiting Chiang Mai. Although it’s quite far from the city, we took a motorbike which served to be adventurous and exciting. The hike itself is easy-moderate but the views are spectacular and the guide is also a great addition. Would recommend this to anyone who is up for a little outdoor adventure!

A nice 3km hike through forest and then into the mountain clearing. On the hike, you have to go with a local guide, but they give awesome context on the forest and trail around you. Try and get here before noon as the crowds really pile up (busiest is early morning for the cloud sea and afternoon). 10:00 might be the ideal time to come if you’re looking to avoid huge crowds.

Beautiful nature trail, no argument. Reduced ratings because of the guide requirement. It's a well paved path. No one can get lost. It's ok if guides can speak at least some English. They just quietly follow you along and collect money at the end. Creepy! Just make it an entrance fee and get rid of guides, then I will visit again for sure!

It’s such a beautiful place! Go if you can. Not easy on the knees with 2.8km of ascent and descent. Will need to pay 200 baht for a Hmong guide. We were there on 21 Dec at around 10am which was a clear and sunny day. Very fortunate.

The first viewing spot is near the parking space across the street. This is the easiest spot. The second spot is all the way to the end of the helicopter landing zone (sometimes they will convert to another car park). You can see road cutting across valley of mountains from there. The third spot is more challenging but more rewarding view. Need to walk through the trail to find this spot.

Super beautiful trail, and definitely worthwhile to see - but be aware that it is steps up and down for 100% of the way, so the “3km” hike is actually a lot longer, and quite killer on the knees and hamstrings 😂 I saw one review that said it was perfect for beginners, but I think that’s not quite accurate. You need to be pretty fit and comfortable with unstable footing.

A very beautiful nature trail with fresh and clear atmosphere with amazing scenery. There also many point of interests such as the waterfall and the viewpoint. The description on the sign about the trail is very educational. If you came to Chiang Mai during winter this place is highly recommend. However, if you enter the place after 4 pm the forest is going to get very dark and cold rapidly as there is no lights in the area but luckily we have a guide and there are not many parking lots too.

This nature trail leads you to one of the very few cloud forests in the world. It has a wide variety of plants with description along the path telling you the details and back stories, eg why you can see many fallen tree trunks, and how they will contribute to the forest. The whole trekking feels like a 2-hour entertaining biology lesson. Two heads-up, due to the height, you might feel tired more easily, so do buffer some time for rest from time to time. And you have to pay 200baht to get a local guide at the entrance, who usually don’t speak much English.

Must do if you are in Doi Inthanon. Mindblowing views well deserved after you walk through the cloud forest and its hundreds of steps! Good shoes recommanded. Only 200B for the mandotory guide for your group

Walking in the clouds around 3hr trekking of cloud forest is amazing. Red rodendron flowers are alot and can see closeup. Falls and stream with big, furred trees make walking easy and less tiredsom.

A really nice 4k walk trail (best for the winter time) where you can see a lot of trees and fern trees along with the chance of witnessing mountain deers. Be there early in the morning to avoid crowds, or you can also book yourself the schedule online to ensure you don’t have to wait so long in the morning.

During the cool months, Nov - Feb, this is a must experience destination because of its natural surroundings, mountain mist and cool weather. When we went, they were swamped with hikers and had to wait almost 3 hours. If you go too early, the mist/fog is so dense you can't see anything. Get there, 2 hours from Chiang Mai, get your ticket (200 baht flat fee), and see all the other sights, grab breakfast or lunch, and return for your hike. It's worth it. It's an easy 3 km circuit. There are many up and downs on this well tended trail.

😐 If you want a clear picture of the sunrise make sure you go to the SCENIC area where it’s just by the road side. DONT go to the observatory all the way at the end of the road thinking it’s higher so you get a clear view. NO. The view is being blocked by trees!! I missed the sunrise getting confused....
