Best gym in Thailand. Location is perfect. Trainers are amazing and like to focus on technique. Accommodation is amazing and well priced. Enjoy my time here and never want to go back home. Gym is located near enough to shops and lots of places to eat. But far enough away from busy Chiang Mai (20 minute drive) to focus on training properly. Love this place and would recommend to anyone.

Awesome Muay Thai gym, stayed here in November and December of 2019. Very affordable housing and training, you can rent a motorbike as well for cheap, fantastic trainers, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Gym is in town of San Kamphaeng about 25 min drive to Chiang Mai. This gym has all levels, from beginner to world championship fighters !! Training twice a day 2-3 hour sessions. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly as well. Definitely plan on staying here and training here again next time I visit Thailand !!♥️♥️👍👍🥊🥊🇹🇭🇹🇭

Best gym in Northern Thailand for beginners and fighters, real high level top-trainers works here. Limited numbers of students per trainer makes you learn a lot.

(Translated by Google) ESP: The best gym in northern Thailand, and I've been coming to Chiang Mai to train for many years. It is a Bangkok level gym but with the tranquility and atmosphere of the north of the country. Professors with sports careers in Bangkok, many are champions of the best stadiums, charming and always ready to correct you without stopping and always in a good mood and laughing. The atmosphere is great, also there are companions of all sizes and levels and a good group of Thai boxers who already fight in stadiums in Bangkok and are a luxury to train with and learn by watching them. The town is charming, close to the city but quiet, cheap and authentic. The only foreigners are the gym students. The perfect place to focus on enjoying and learning about this beautiful sport! ENG: best gym in north Thailand. Trainers are former champions and all like a huge family between them and the thai fighters, what makes the environment really good for training and have fun meanwhile you sweat like crazy! Always focus on developing every level of students, begginers and current professional fighters all need to learn and the trainners are very dedicated. Location is 10 for me, small town, not far from the city but quite and authentic. Not many tourist and awesome food and prices. People is just awesome here. I’ve been to Santai twice each for just over 2 weeks and I have had nothing but the best experience, this is a true fighters gym they treat you the same as their seasoned fighters, the trainers are all top notch world champions some are even current active fighters, I’ve been to other gyms in the south that are more for the tourist crowd but if you want the best training go to santai

For me this is the best gym in Northern Thailand accommodating for all levels and ages of people wanting to learn Muay Thai. Santai trainers are all from the famous Pinsinchai gym in Bangkok, holding many titles in stadiums like Lumpinee and Raja, some trainers still ranked in the top ten at these stadiums to date. The gym took me from an orthodox beginner with ten fights, to a sponsored southpaw fighter holding two world titles in just over a year. If your serious about fighting, learning, loosing weight or just experiencing Muay Thai, this is the place for you. The gym is situated just twenty - twenty five minutes outside Chiang Mai City in a little town called San Kamphaeng, with easy access to Buses and Taxis running in and out. The accommodation ( including free wifi ) and training price is very cheap for the knowledge and training you will receive ( all prices and details can be found on the Santai website. The gym also have a pick up and drop off service from the airport to your accommodation, no matter the time.

Santai is a great gym building technique from the ground up with beginners to adding new sharper tools for the experienced fighter. The more you put into the training the more you will get out. Trainers are all very approachable and sponsored fighters can help with recommendations for weekend activities outside of training.

A gym that was willing to work with me, and develop me as a fighter. It's rare to come across both first class trainers and management that has the will and capacity to see their fighters all the way to the top of the fight scene. Santai fighters are fighting in Thailand, and all over the world. Santai continue to find fight opportunities for their fighters, and continue to develop fighters from grass roots to elite.

I love this place!!!! In America we do not train like this. Everyday we wake up to intelligent fun easy going instructors who are all champions. These instructors encourage students to train hard and right. I always felt safe and everyday I learned new technique while developing previously learned techniques. Id highly suggest this place for anyone looking to grow via different states of being. Muay Thai is a strength that dominates all strengths. This gym is where you need to be to grow physically mentally and spiritually . WAY TO GO SANTAI MUAY THAI!!!!!!!

Was able to come in and do a drop in session. One of the best Muay Thai training sessions I have ever had. If you want real authentic Muay Thai training I can't recommend this place enough. You get world class trainers and train with other very good fighters. Everyone was very nice and helpful for it being my first time in the gym and everyone really motivates and helps you improve. I look forward to coming and training here again in the future.

I have recently been traveling through Thailand training at a variety of gyms. I have now returned back to Santai Muay Thai after my travels as it is by far the best gym I have had the pleasure of training at. The trainers provide you with consistent coaching in all aspects of Muay Thai, from executing the basics correctly to more advanced clinching & boxing techniques. The trainers all have expert knowledge in Muay Thai and are able to provide you with world class coaching regardless if you are a professional or beginner. The classes are run well, on time and always feel inviting.

Had a very memorable and fun 9 days at Santai last September. Came to Chiang Mai with friends and safe to say everyone is keen to come back. The trainers are very patient, knowledgeable and approachable, which is perfect especially for beginners like me. Every training session I've attended, I was given adequate attention amd supervision. You get a lot of time with each trainer during pad rounds, and they continue to watch you even when you're cooling down on bags. Their trainers are former stadium champions with a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills that they patiently try to teach every single one of us. Highly recommend this gym for anyone wanting to learn and sharpen their muay thai skills.

Great muay thai gym. Wide variety of experienced thai trainers, and home of current and ex champions. Great location in the small town, many shops nearby. Good distance away from the main city, but still accessible.

The trainers were excellent! Always laughing and pushing me to work harder in a positive manner. I've trained at other gyms that are very serious and the instructors get mad at you when you "hit the wall". Personally I found the technique of the gym didn't match my style. Very hands high. Front leg straight with a focus on kicks. I model my style after Saenchai and have trained at other gyms who allow more freedom to develop a personal style. I do respect the owners desire to deliver real Mauy Thai training. But I've trained at other REAL gyms in Thailand who I prefer the style. If you're fighting someone from Santai contact me. I'll give you some tips.... My only other criticism is one instructor will tell you to do things one way and another will tell you another. This was a comment I heard from new students more than once... But over all I found it an excellent gym to spend time with.

I trained here for 5 months back in 2013 - 2014. The trainers are amazing, they take pride in their work and they work hard to make sure you are improving your skills. Training at Santai for one day is like training an entire week in Canada. The location is great. Dang's restaurant is down the road and he not only is a great trainer, he is a great cook as well. You can rent a scooter there as well just make sure to take a picture of it before you agree to rent it. I loved my time there and if you are serious about training I would suggest you pay Santai a visit.

The size of the gym is big, it also has accommodation for those who would like to stay longer. Price is good. There is also possibility to do some power training, and cardio training. Which makes this gym really complete. Where I think the gym can improve a little bit is to do some light sparring to improve anticipation in combat. Also if there is enough people (and this gym is getting enough people) I would suggest to let people train togheter for some combination. All with all this gym is rated best in chiang may (2022) and does live up to the name.

Legit training with some of the best trainers in Thailand. Super low student to trainer ratio (max 4:1) numbers compared to other gyms so lots of time with trainers who care and take pride in teaching both locals and visitors. Lots of current fighters and champions so you know you learning with the best. Def worth a visit and be part of the Santa family.

Trained here for 2 weeks and stayed at the JR House accommodation. Coaches are all super friendly and the top fighters in the area in their prime. Good if you're looking to restart/start from basics and not super intense worn out style. Very technical trainings 630am-8am and 430pm-6pm daily except Sunday. About 13km away from central Chiang Mai so it's a good training camp getaway. Food, banks, and clinic are 1km away and Grab Food is convenient.

(Translated by Google) The boxing gym is well-equipped, all the students are very friendly. Like a big family, the coaches are very attentive. Regardless of the players or beginners, they will carefully follow the guidance. They attach great importance to the basic movements. The technology is pure Thai-style Thai boxing. Mixed with mixed fighting or kick boxing style, and located in a quiet small village, there is not much interference, prices are also very cheap, suitable for people who want to seriously learn Muay Thai, big push, cp value is high (Original)

Great experience at Santai. Highly recommended for all different levels of training. This was my first time doing Muay Thai, I received plenty of personal attention and learned a basic technique within a few days. The trainers monitor your pace and teach you depending on your skill level. I highly recommend Santai if you want an authentic Muay Thai experience.

The trainers at Santai are very experienced. They’ll take time to to teach you technique and correct bad habits, while still getting you in fighting shape. Many pad holders in Thailand will just gas you out on the pads. They’ll teach about the rules and how fight smart according to real Thai scoring. I’ve trained at few places in Thailand so far but I’ve learned more in the past three months at Santai than anywhere else.

Head over and experience authentic Muay Thai with high level trainers who are friendly, fun and dedicated towards taking your abilities to the next level, regardless of your current skill and fitness ability. Warm and welcoming community, with visitors who come to train from all corners of the globe. Well managed, with a well equipped store, accomodation and scooters for hire, and two training sessions daily. Transportation is made easy, with lifts to and from Chiang Mai airport, and lifts to and from Thapae Stadium to watch fights. Many thanks and I look forward to next time.

I love training at Santai. It is an amazing gym. Great facilities, trainers and management and locals haha . The top level trainers are more than happy to support all students regardless of skill level and will push and encourage students to reach their goals. Santai is a traditional muay thai gym away from the tourist hustle, bustle and party scene. with all facilities like shops, atm, medical facilities all within walking distance or scooter. This is a very affordable place on any budget. I have been to Santai twice so far and cannot wait to go back.

Went with a friend to a muay thai session. Trainers were very nice and fun, the atmosphere was friendly and there were a lot of other foreigners training there. Beware though...it smelled really bad!!! And the centre is not closed, so theres no aircon (contributing to the smelliness of the place).

Only a short stay and felt very welcomed the moment i arrived. Dealing with Ood the owner was very easy and pleasant from organizing accommodation and transfers to providing information on what to expect on my stay. The training was exceptional as they have elite level trainers who are ex champions in Thailand with many accolades, some of which are still active in their fighting, and the training camp translates this. Santai Muay Thai is highly recommended for anyone interested in learning muay thai as a beginner or advancing to the next level of their fight career.

We came to Santai Muay Thai as a group from Australia in september 2019 and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we were picked up from the airport we were treated with such kindness and respect. In the short time that I got to train at Santai I learned so much and was even given the opportunity to fight locally. The pad holders at the gym are worldclass with a wealth of knowledge and are super approachable and fun. You can tell that they genuinely want you to improve and succeed and they put in so much time and effort to train you. The gym and facilities are also comfortable, clean and modern. Thank you so much Ood and the rest of Santai for such a wonderful experience in Chiang Mai. I hope to be back soon!!

Good gym, trainers were great. There's not a ton to do in the area but that's good if you just want to focus on muay thai and not partying like down south, which would be distracting I felt. Jr house was clean and good quality. Thanks santai. I'll be back 🏋️‍♂️

I spent 5 months here and it was the most awesome experience for me. The trainers are fun, friendly and VERY knowledgeable. I've learnt a lot, gained many new skills, and friends. I really enjoyed the training. Great gym. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to travel to Thailand, learn Muay Thai, or just improve their fitness. (I lost 13 kg in my time here 91 down to 78) Well worth it.

Absolutely great gym with former stadium, Thailand and world champions as current trainers. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned fighter, or someone wanting to eventually fight, Santai can definitely help you achieve your Muay Thai goals. Perfect location for those wanting to be able to focus purely on training, but also not far from Chiang Mai city for a quick getaway. Delicious, cheap food and awesome cafes few minutes from the gym.
