You place your order and then pick it up when ready. You can get your order to go or dine in or outdoors on the patio next to San Luis Creek. We opted for the patio, very pleasant. The food was great!!! We had a tri tip platter with garlic bread and bbq beans, plus a tri tip sandwich with fries, both with strawberry lemonade. Yum.

FOOD: delicious, tender, juice and tasteful BBQ sandwiches! We tasted and enjoyed the Tri trip, pulled pork and chicken sandwiches with fries: all amazing!! PLACE: now open to dine in so good to enjoy them fresh!

Delicious food no matter what you get. Easy to order and lots of room right by the beautiful creek and murmur of downtown SLO. Also 42 beers on tap many if not all are local, and it's self serve, can it get better? Kid friendly as well and great views and open seating/ space. I would definitely recommend if you are visiting the area or looking for quick but great food that's not junk. Walking distance from all downtown areas and parking usually not too bad for the part of town that it is. Perfect for a date without the kids.

Delicious BBQ. The tri-tip had a solid meaty/grilled flavor while still being very soft and tender. The toasted french bread was a great companion and sopped up the juices. Ordering is easy with the walk up window on the patio. There's an adjacent and convenient public parking lot. I look forward to my next visit, and sampling some of the other good looking items on the menu.

Holy smokes I love this place. Best tri tip around, and you must get it on sourdough (sliders or sando)!!! I also love their corn cakes, and even the strawberry salad. Amazing customer service, it’s fast, delicious and you won’t be disappointed!

Wow! What a fun place right in the heart of SLO with the best slow cooked legit BBQ and the corn pie side is a gluten-free life changer

Local, not a tourist trap, not crowded. Tri-trip is really good. Options for kids. A wall of tap beer to choose.

Tri tip was good, average. Ribs were very chewy and not at all fall-off-the-bones tender at $19. I had way better elsewhere (LA, Texas, etc) Self service. Pay at the counter. These days I’m always debating if I need to tip if I’m picking up my own food and cleaning the table 😂

There I was, praising the food, savoring every amazing bite, thinking this was the BEST— and then I looked to my left, the window sill I was sitting next to. It was an abundance of cobwebs, dust, dead flies, dead spiders, and alot of alive spiders. That’s when I saw the mini spider crawling across my table, my food. I was sooo sick and disgusted. Please please PLEASE, keep a decently clean eating area. It makes me wonder what the small kitchen looked like. Completely ruined the food for me, will never be back.

outstanding service & high quality food! Kevin & his team are top notch & all deserve a raise. exceptionally patient with my dumb guest list & changing order. My experiences here have been pretty mediocre. I do really like the slaw, but other than that my food usually arrives cold and flavor is nothing to remember. The sauces do help though!

Always receive great service with amazing tasting food! Been to both location and they are very clean and love the games available. Great place to “just grabbing a beer” or for a “relaxing night out”! I recommend trying the Tri-tip and one of their tap beers! Hope your lucky enough to get the same staff, that was not to hard on the eyes! :)

First timers. The food was good and mostly authentic Santa Maria style BBQ. The cole slaw wasn't made from the right ingredients but was good. 5 stars would have been given if the order taker would have been friendly AND I could have been able to order my dessert after dinner from inside instead of going back outside and getting back in line on this rainy night.

i came here for the first time with high expectations. they were met. i work nearby, but have never made it for lunch. i came on a thursday, when they do the “market special” a 4oz tri-trip sandwich for $9. it’s worth it. this is the best sandwich ever. i wish i got a full size. i love their tap room. you have a little card and can pour yourself brews. that have instructions on how to do it correctly and so many different options. the pours are reasonably priced and the price goes us as you pour. overall, i highly recommend. great food. quick service. interesting vibe. i’ll be coming a lot more

The cashier and cook were very accommodating to my Ciliac’s Gluten allergy. Awesome!

Not the greatest tri tip sandwich I've had, and definitely one of the more expensive ones. Food is decent and this might be the best BBQ joint in SLO, but I don't think I'd make a point to return. Great service though.

We used Old SLO BBQ as our wedding caterer and it was an absolute highlight. Food was fitting for the venue ( a ranch in the area). Guests went back for seconds. Kevin was amazing to work with — friendly, accommodating and responsive. Options for vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians.

Delicious! I am obsessed with the corn pie! The meat melts off the bone, & flavors are amazing! Portion sizes are a little smaller than other local bbq spots, but it’s reasonable. “Pay by the ounce” beer/cider/wine technology is great - you can try so many different beers for a great price.

Tried the Tri tip plate. Tri tip was tough, not tender. I don’t know if I would come back, could have been an off day for tri tip🤓 my wife had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken, she did love it!
