We stay at this precise location 1-2x a year. They’re always kind and accommodating to our young son and old Weimaraner. Pool has a great view. Rooms are always clean. Staff courteous. And the breakfast on the second floor, well, that was the game changer. A ridiculous amount of options. Extremely clean. Attentive guest service. We’ll see you next Labor Day

Definitely will be back. The front desk service was wonderful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Shower had great water pressure and loved the Dove bath products.

On the surface, the hotel looks nice, but there were lots of issues. No remote control in the room. Broken handle on the bathroom door. The HVAC system was horrendously loud. We had to turn it off in order to sleep. I complained about the HVAC when I was checking out and the clerk said she was going to waive the parking fee, but they did not. If you have a dog and need a room, consider this place as an option as they allow pets. Otherwise, look elsewhere

This was the best hotel during our roundtrip. Big, comfortable room. Nice pool area with happy hour (free drinks) and barbecue (very reasonable prices). Breakfast was also very good. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Great stay. Comfortable clean rooms. The property looks newly renovated. All the amenities of a nice hotel. Pool is not on ground floor which is nice. Coffee station in lobby. Friendly staff and accommodating.

nice service The room was nice, clean and quite, it has a wonderful rooftop spa/dip pool.Fantastic breakfast. 24/7 gym. The neighborhood seems trendy with lots of good restaurants. Near Cal Poly. I say worth the price-mid week. Weekends are alittle steep.

Wonderful hotel, dog friendly and great staff. We had a great time staying at this hotel after we had to check out of the Apple Farm due to the uncleanliness of their rooms. This hotel is well kept up, clean and has all the amenities you need. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in SLO.

Staying here now. When we got to our room after a five hour drive, we had no toilet paper at all. The phone in our room didn’t work to call the desk to get some, so went down to tell them. They handed me two rolls and said they would have someone come look at the phone. No one came. One bed literally looks like it has food stains on it. The chair has a dirty used napkin on it that did not come from us. The hallway is freezing. I will never stay here again. It seems barely cleaned. I don’t get the feeling anyone wants to help. The pool area is incredibly dark too. It’s about 20 minutes walk from anywhere. Parking is $15/day which was surprising. It doesn’t seem very secure either. I’m a little shocked.

The cooling/heating in all the rooms make a loud noise. I called the desk to switch rooms and was told the entire hotel has the same issue and they are waiting for parts to fix it. I could not sleep because of the noise. La Quinta should make all guests aware before booking until the sound is fixed. For future guests, call before booking to make sure this is fixed.

A really good place for stay if you are in San Luis Obispo, CA. Rooms were clean, bed was clean and had restful sleep without any noise. Breakfast is included and has parking garage. Unique features that we liked: Room key based operation of elevators for security. Restroom and water fountain on our (4th) floor. Spa tub overlooking the surrounding landscape. Dove brand toiletries.

We highly recommend staying at the La Quinta in SLO. We had such a wonderful experience here with the welcoming friendly staff who treated us so well. The rooms are so clean and spacious. The hotel is centrally located around so many things to do and places to visit with short drives or walking distance. Thank you.

Nice and clean modern rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very accommodating and dog friendly for a reasonable small fee of $25 per day upto $75 max. Highly recommend.

Room was clean and spacious. Stayed here off season for a few days. Location aid great and felt safe throughout. Check in was alright, took a while and only one person ahead of us. Appreciate the pet friendliness. The weekdays were great. The Friday and weekend saw an influx of people and more noise. Did not appreciate the staff not addressing the noise from adjacent rooms. The service staff is polite enough. Upon check out the staff had challenges with processing payment and shifted blame to the customer. I called my card company right then and there. More time goes by and after a few minutes someone else came to help the representative. Presto issue resolved.

Stayed here for about a week in August. The overall hotel and room were clean. There were plenty of linens provided and the room had the typical amenities including a hair dryer, clothes iron, safe, mini fridge, coffee maker, TV, and desk. There were plenty of outlets for all of our devices. Reason for one less star is the walls are incredibly thin and we could hear everything in the next rooms. The continental breakfast was decent, but most of the items were prepackaged type stuff, or eggs from powder, microwaved bacon. Only fresh items were waffles or pancakes. We didn’t use the spa because it was small and there were too many people in it. Kinda bummed about that. But it did seem clean. There was always someone at the front desk, even when we can in late one night. They have a mini store with some of the items we all forget, plus a small assortment of snacks and drinks. The location was close enough to downtown that we walked there almost every night. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and a gas station no matter which way you’re heading. We didn’t know about the nightly charge for pricing, which was high considering there was no security at all. Either way, we’d probably stay again due to it being one of the lower cost hotels for the quality.

Excellent pet friendly hotel that's clean and provides ample parking. They currently use the Dove soap line for the room toiletries. The roof top pool is awesome. The hotel is located in a good neighborhood with food nearby to access. Breakfast is included in your stay.

Ten things to STAY AWAY from this place. First, it is NOT dog friendly La Quinta hotel, no dog area AT ALL! It’s a shame to use La Quinta name to claim dog friendly. Second, Front desk staff are unprofessional and literally hints you to take your dog elsewhere. All dogs have to walk through hotel long hallway, take elevator down, then walk through long cement parking lot, then go through traffic light to just find a piece grass to use bathroom. Luckily my dog can hold herself. There’s one review complained some dog peeped in garage, you can’t blame those small dog who can’t hold themselves after walking through this ridiculous ‘dog FRIENDLY path’. Third, cheap building, broken furniture, AC makes loud noise all night. Fourth, not sure about those key control elevator, not responsive. Five, breakfast is BARE minimum. Six, bathroom door can’t close. Seven, pay parking. We travel a lot, this is the First La Quinta charge for parking. Eight, CHARGE for dog fee. Nine, expensive. Ten, all kinds of fees!!!

My husband and I had an amazing stay! The rooftop jacuzzi was so fun! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and nice. It’s in a great location, we were able to walk around everywhere. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in town or for a stay-cation!

We used to be Wyndham resort timeshare owners and have stayed in different Wyndham hotels but only twice at La Quinta and both stays at La Quinta exceeded our expectations. We will only stay at La Quinta from now on. We were kinda excited to get a room on 3rd floor near exit door (stairs), but that came with noises from door shuttings and openings, besides, swimming pool was on 4th floor which was right above us and we could hear kids running. Since we were there for just 1 night and tired from long drive, didn't wanna bother asking to change a room. Breakfast was excellent., I'd give 7 stars if that's feasible. Would definitely stay at La Quinta again. Thank you.

We had a nice long weekend here. The bed is amazing - one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept in. Air conditioning was cold too - just how I like it for sleeping. Staff was friendly and the hotel is in a very convenient location. Breakfast is decent. There is an awesome gym and rooftop pool. I o oh gave this a four start though as rooms are fairly recent and modern however air conditioning makes lots of noise. Windows don’t open so you can’t get fresh air. And the shower pressure is quite weak. Plus, the way the shower is designed allows for lots of water on the floor. But for the price, I thought this was solid value and would recommend overall.

Pros: 1. A good location to rest during the road trip. The small town is beautiful. 2. The room is large and well equipped. It's better than the rooms I got in SD and LA with lower price. 3. There is a great Thai restaurant and a brunch cafe near by. Cons: 1. The rooms are quite new, thus, there is an unpleasant smell. 2. Service is bad. The male receptionist made me and my girl uncomfortable. They charged an extra parking fee, but I didn't park in hotel's lot. 3. There is a warning sign of CA state at a very inconspicuous location, saying that the facility contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects something, which really made us worried.

The only thing was the air conditioner made a loud high pitch noise whenever it was on. And we had an "adjoining room" that wasn't ours. It was locked of course but we could just hear the other room. I wish our windows opened or we had a balcony like the pictures. Other than that, breakfast was amazing! The room was so clean; the staff was so pleasant and helpful! We really enjoyed our stay! We'll be back.

It was really nice and a good location for visiting the area. Just down the street from down town and far enough away that you don’t get any noise at night. The staff was great and friendly with the staff being very friendly. The assistant manage Kim was fantastic, really knew the area and had a bunch of suggestions for activities in the area.
