The staff were all amazing, very friendly and helpful. The food - home made, fresh and fantastic, best breakfast we ever had, the wine tasting - excellent with a side of a homemade treat. The rooms were so comfortable, the beds excellent. Great location short walk to down town. They asked as why we were in SLO even sent us a small bottle of champagne, ice and glasses to help us celebrate my retirement. Will stay there anytime! Loved the dogs too!

What a beautiful boutique hotel. I stayed here with my family almost 15 years ago and it was such a quaint little place, I came back with my wife and the place seems to be in new ownership and it’s only improved. The hospitality group obviously understands the attention to detail that is required to deliver on a boutique hotel experience in a small town. From the furnishings in the rooms, the uniqueness of the decor, and the beauty and placement of their lighting fixtures and artwork they really impressed. The beds had some of the most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on and to top it off they had world class cocktails and great beer and wine selection. The proximity to downtown, a great craft coffee shop just down the street and the easy parking were all factors that made this a perfect stay for the weekend. We’ll be back.

Lovely rooms and patios and lounge area, amazing service, especially Julianne and Dante. Julianne in particular was so sweet and accommodating and hustled to help us in a variety of ways on our two night stay. Highly recommend staying here!

Wow! Where to start? This place added so much comfort and value to our stay in SLO. The rooms were clean, well-furnished, and had extraordinary shower pressure. The location is very quiet for being so close to the restaurants and shops downtown. Great balance of convenience and tranquility. We had two breakfasts here. The first day I was served the best quiche Lorraine I have ever tasted, along with endlessly flowing coffee and freshly baked treats. It ends up being a tremendous time savings to have such a high quality breakfast where you are staying, versus going out, finding parking, and waiting at a restaurant. As a result we were able to fit in more wine tastings and create some priceless memories. All the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We had done some solid research on local attractions, but still received some game changing recommendations from Dante. Overall an impeccable experience with delicious, home-cooked breakfasts and wine tasting happy hours you don’t want to miss!

We came to SLO for a long weekend/girls trip. We absolutely LOVED Petit Soleil! The staff was beyond warm and friendly, the rooms were spacious enough for 4, clean, and adorable. The breakfast were so delicious. I could go on and on. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic staff, just the nicest people. Small rooms, but super clean. Tons of food and shopping in walking distance.

Lovely little place. I think they recently remodeled the rooms because ours was very clean and the furnishings were all new. I appreciate their modern yet classic design! Unfortunately, our guest experience was degraded by the current renovations the building is undergoing. Their kitchen was closed, so breakfast was grab-and-go (croissants, coffee, fruit, etc.). I have no idea if we still paid full price for the rooms or not. Petit Soliel is a Bed & Breakfast, and clearly, the homemade breakfast is a huge draw at this place...so that was really disappointing. What's even more disappointing is that we weren't compensated in any small way to make up for it. Maybe a small gift card to the Splash Cafe next door? Just an idea. Another issue I had during our visit was that when I went to the bathroom one early morning, there was a man at our window. It was extremely alarming as we were on the second floor. I quickly pulled the blind down and remembered they're doing renovations, so I assume the guy was doing work on a ladder. Still, a heads-up would be nice! Another issue is that the water got shut off for about 45 minutes due to a plumbing emergency. This was really annoying since it happened in the late morning, just as we were trying to get ready and head out for the day. My husband went downstairs to inform the front desk about the man at our bathroom window and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine to make us feel better. The staff was overall very sweet. I'm sure they're all trying to do their best during stressful renovations, but management really needs to improve the guest experience in the midst of all the weird inconveniences. Despite all of this, I look forward to returning and hopefully having a better stay after the renovations are completed.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and pretty. The courtyard was a great place to chill. The breakfasts were amazing with really great coffee! It's easy walking distance to downtown. The only downside was all the windows in our room looked at walls or fences.

This Bed & Breakfast is an absolute gem. The rooms are darling. The food was deliciously homemade every day. The staff took such good care of us. We were in town for an emergency and this inn provided a wonderful place to gather each night. Hannah took such care with our reservations. We look forward to a return stay. Thank for serving us the way you did.

We absolutely loved staying at Petit Soleil. The room was lovely, the staff were extra-friendly, the breakfast was delicious (the best frittata I have ever had), the location is very convenient and within a reasonable distance to all the major attractions.

We stayed here 2 nights and had great time! The location is superb, just a few blocks from downtown. The staff was super from start to finish but the real treat was the included wine and appetizers and complimentary breakfast. Not a continental breakfast like chain hotels, real, handmade food! The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with outstanding service and amenities. Rooms were delightful and the breakfast was decadent. Wish it was closer to downtown or just in a nicer part of town. Wish it had a pool too.

They don't just 'allow' dogs, this hotel truly cares about the dogs that stay here and their owners. The hotel isn't very roomy but great location and great price for what you get. The breakfast was also delicious.

Our son goes to Cal Poly & we've stayed at Petit Soleil a bunch of times since 2017. This is our first time back following a 2-year COVID hiatus. The owners are wonderful. The staff friendly and courteous. The atmosphere delightful. Breakfast delicious. Happy hour always enjoyably. A true gem.

My husband and I have been coming here since our daughter was at Cal Poly, so about 10 years. We are so happy the new owners have kept the feel of the hotel and such friendly staff. The remodels rooms are comfortable and quieter (new windows maybe?) The breakfasts were delicious as was the wine and appetizers—especially delightful that they still make our favorite spiced nuts (we make them all the time at home from the Petit Soleil cookbook.) We will definitely be back!

Stayed at this gorgeous B&B with my coworkers as part of a company retreat. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The complimentary Breakfast & evening hors-d’oeuvres were delicious. My room personally was elegant yet cozy - also helped that they have a great in room cocktail program! Great location to easily walk to local restaurants, bars, and entertainment within the SLO downtown area. 10/10 would come again!

stayed for a work retreat and wow! i am impressed! the new owners have done such a great job preserving the charm while adding much needed modern touches. where other stays write off certain needs, they’ve embraced and conquer them. as someone who really leans into their makeup bag i was pleasantly surprised to see a cloth in the bathroom with a little note explaining that it is specifically for removing makeup. i can’t tell you how many times i’ve accrued additional charges at previous stays for getting small stains on face towels even after i’ve applied makeup remover and face cleanser. that is just one of the many little details i noticed that proves this b&b really care about the guest. my room was beautiful and i was able to peak at some of the other rooms and they all have their own personal touches. it makes you feel truly like a guest to the establishment and not just a name on a reservation book. the staff is incredible! so kind and accommodating and peaceful, they really do a great job at contributing to the luxurious and calming energy this hotel provides while simultaneously taking calls, making cocktails, serving tables, AND preparing the food. what a bunch of hustlers! the main area is so calming, my colleague even mentioned that it was like having breakfast in a french bistro and i would definitely agree. it is also walking distance to the downtown area so if you want to explore you don’t have to worry about making any arrangements to and from the b&b and even if you did want to, i’m sure the staff would be happy to help. overall, loved it and can’t wait to find another reason to head back up.
