$222 without tip meal for 3 , two steaks, pork ribs, two salads, chilli soup, 8 dollar bread. Excellent experience , service and food, cooked to perfection steaks. Worth the 1.5 hour wait on Saturday arriving at 5:30pm. Desert was apple, walnut cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Plenty of free parking, dark interior for a romantic meal. Brandon K. Was top notch, helpful, professional and attentive. Thank you Brandon

This is an amazing place to come and eat, 5 stars no doubt! My girlfriend and I were looking for a place that serves artichokes in the Pasadena area and came across Houston's Restaurant through google search. When we arrived the host was very helpful and helped get us set up on the waitlist. Once we got notified that our table was almost ready we came in to check in and wait, then another host came to ask if we would like to order some cocktails while we waited, which we absolutely loved. Shortly after receiving our drinks we were walked over to our table and from the moment we were sat to the moment we received the check we received the most amazing service. Our waiter Karla was very professional and always attentive. She made our Dinner Experience very memorable, we will definitely be coming back again. The Artichokes were very delicious as well as the rest of the food and the cocktails.

We had a wonderful experience at Houston's. For starters, we were a walk in ground of three and our wait time was estimated at 30 minutes. As you are waiting they have a waitress come and take a drink order so even though you are waiting for your table, you are still getting service. Sitting with a drink next to the indoor Koi pond was something that you just don't see in a typical restaurant. We waited maybe 20 minutes before getting ushered to our table. Once we got to the table, the wait staff came by with fresh, cold cocktail glasses and poured our drinks into the new chilled glasses. This is something that I have never seen done, and I quite like it. For starters, we got the Grilled Artichoke and the Spinach and Artichoke dip (both are must haves). My dinner was the Dings Crispy Chicken Sandwich. This absolutely exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be getting that again. For desert we had the sundae which was good, but your standard desert. End of the day, I would choose to eat at Houston's over many of the options in the area.

We had an amazing lunch here. After visiting the Descanso Gardens with friends we stopped by here for lunch in old town Pasadena. Houston is one of the old establishments in Pasadena. Celebrities and business magnets dine here. During the Holidays, many companies in the area would have their Christmas dinners or luncheons at Houston. So November and December are busy months for the restaurant. Without a reservation, it's impossible to get a table. Lucky we were able to get a table without a reservation today for lunch. The service is impeccable. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The service very prompt. We were constantly looked after. The foods are amazing. They serve many varieties of appetizers and the artichoke and spinach dips is the most popular. The dips were fresh and cheesy. We just loved the taste of the dips. For the main course, our waiter recommended their famous French dip sandwich and their famous chicken salad. The bread came with French dip was so soft and toasty. The sauce in salad was quite rich and tasty. It's no wonder this is packed all the time. I do recommend making a reservation before coming.

This place does food and service well consistently. The decor is welcoming and makes you feel like dining in style in an upscale restaurant. We started with some bread and tomato bisque soup and drinks. For the main we had the Asian steak salad, grilled salmon, and ribeye steak. All three dishes were very tasty and prepared well. For dessert we had coffee with hot fudge cake with ice cream. Service was great as we were attended to with both prompt professional and friendly service.

Okay okay the hype is real. My brother in law has been raving about this place for weeks so we decided to make a reservation and check it out. The place was packed for a Monday Night and we only waited about 15 mins to be seated. The server Angelica was great and attentive. I ordered the Ribs that were by far the best ribs and coleslaw I have eaten in Los Angeles. Now to be fair I don’t eat Ribs everywhere I go but this place has it down. Literally falls off of the bone and melts in your mouth. The coleslaw is made perfect and not like that runny watered down coleslaw you get at most places. Overall I give it 5 stars all around and will be back for more Ribs. This is a must try in Pasadena 💪

I love a good slow jazz ambiance, and the lovely koi fish. Watching them glide through the water definitely eased my patience while waiting for our table. We were so hungry for dinner, I forgot to take a pic of the main dishes! The service was great tho. My water glass magically refilled when I wasn’t looking, and excellent recommendations from our server. There were so many good options I was ordering tapas style.

Upscale restaurant in Pasadena that always has delicious food, there is another one in Santa Monica as well. Starting from amazing soups, sushi and salads to delicious burgers steaks and fish. Best french fries not be missed. Great and professional service . Atmosphere is cozy with dimmed lighting and its always a bit chili inside so do bring a jacket with you.

I took my wife here to celebrated our 1 year anniversary since being married. She loved this place and wanted to come here because the last time we came here was 4 years ago. So I made reservations a week ahead and had plans to already be near the area. We actually arrived to the restrauant earlier than our reservation but they were still able to seat us. The place was almost already full and they just open like 5 minutes ago. I was able to find parking easily but I'm pretty sure it can get pack quick. After we got seated, our waitress came to get our drinks menu. They don't have free bread here so we decided to go with the Ciabatta Cheese Toast. I went with a Sprite for my drink and my wife went with a Coke, keep in mind that it's the glass bottle soda so no free refill. For our entrée, I got the Hawaiian rib eye steak and my wife went with the Scottish Salmon. The food came out pretty quick especially with them being busy on a Sunday afternoon. I thought the steak was okay but it wasn't my favorite, I should've probably went with the burger. I also wasn't a fan of the French fries either, I added some black pepper and salt but it didn't help. My wife enjoyed her Salmon but she said it was much different 4 years ago so maybe they changed some ingredients. We both thought the chesse toast was okay but i would've prefer the Warm Bread Plate. The dining area is pretty nice and probably lit for a interactive dining experience. The bar is about the same as well and they have some small table over there but it will only sit 2 people. The service we received was alright, nothing for us to complain about. When we were leaving, they had a big line of people waiting to eat there so remember to always make reservation. They also have a fish pond that you can look at while waiting at the front. My score: Food: 4 star, I thought the rib eye steak was okay and cooked perfectly to medium rare but I didn't like the flavor or fries. My wife enjoyed her Salmon which was the reason we came here. Service: 4 star, the service we received was okay. Our waitress wasn't very talkative with us but it could be because they were busy. Atmosphere: 4 star, the dining experience is okay and I can understand the way they set things up so your dine in experience is more interactive with no distractions Parking: 4 star, they have a decent amount of parking spots here but when they get busy, be ready to drive around to look for parking. It's also will be difficult to get out of the parking structure because you're turning on a busy street.

This place is absolutely amazing. Everything from the service to the food to the ambiance just hands down. Amazing. I got the French dip and the ribeye was so tender and soft. The sauce, the dip and the horse radish pairs really well with the meat. The ribeye and the French tip was absolutely delicious and soft. I cannot get over how soft the Meat was. The services was as you would expect at a high-end restaurant. Very excellent. My friend got the BBQ pork ribs and he said it was very juicy and the meat fell off the bones. We also got a little sushi appetizer. Omg so good!

So fantastic! My favorite place to dine! I do miss the smoked salmon 😩 they used to have on appetizers menu. But still great 👍 place for lunch and dinner!

Great food and drinks at Houston's. The grilled artichoke hearts are a must have! I had the Hawaiian ribeye which was delicious. Make reservations. I recommend this location for small groups as the seating space is small. There is an option to sit at the bar as well.

It’s a nice steakhouse with choices other than meat—they have sushi, too. But, our family enjoys good quality meat. So, we ordered a prime filet and barbecue pork rib. They were both yummy! (Too bad I forgot to take pictures.) Their spinach & artichoke dip was definitely a good choice. But, I noticed that their sundae was not as big as I remembered, which was a bit disappointing. But overall, this is a great place to dine!

Houstons is simply among the best, if not the best in Pasadena. The service, the ambiance, the vibes, everything about it. It's just a perfectly wonderful spot in our fair city. I cannot recommend highly enough the barbecue pork ribs, the french dip, and oddly enough the sushi. The servers are among the best in town. And everyone will go overboard to make you feel at home.

Quality still excellent, portion seemed has declined compared to a year ago. The bread is now thicker than the stack of roast beef. lol Very disappointed that the Thai salad now only comes in Chicken, no more steak! :(

Where do I start, although our wait time was 2 hours note to self next time make reservations through open table. But once we got seated it was VIP treatment for the night. Our server JESS I love him...I wonder if it's possible to request to sit in his section on my next visit. I love the way all servers tend to you in your head servers absence. Compliments to management for that. Our food simply delicious!! I will be back real soon!! Great Resturant!! Great Experience! Great Atmosphere!!

Food, dessert and ambience is all excellent. We sat at the bar and the service is not A+ for the type of restaurant this is as the bartender was a bit standoffish but the food quality and dessert made up for that.

The decor and atmosphere is casual yet sheek. The food is wonderful but $$$. $120 plus tip for two. I love the HAWAIIAN RIBEYE. My only complaint is that it is very noisy when crowded.

Great steak house with a classy ambiance. The artichoke appetizer is a must try; it came with fully roasted artichokes and you peel off each leaf, dip it in the amazing sauce and eat the ends of it…it was super and an experience. The Hawaiian ribeye steak was excellent and their dry martinis were delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a classic and tasty meal.
