Cute hotel, generously sized rooms, convenient location in the Presidio neighborhood. The decor is really well done, everything about our stay was nice, friendly staff, bed was comfy, and the room was quiet. My only complaint is that the food at the hotel cafe was a bit lacking in both quality and quantity (good cocktails though), it’s walkable to other restaurants so it was easy to eat elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again!

Charming hotel with good vibes. Dynamic and super friendly staff. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished, with a fireplace, deep soak tub and shower, and a private enclosed patio. Cool appliances too: Marshall speaker, Smeg fridge, Nespresso machine, etc. The bed wasn't good though. The pool was kind of sad, relatively small, and neither very warm nor very clean. The restaurant in the premises was average. Dog friendly hotel (with one time cleaning fee). Free bicycles to borrow and visit the city. In summary, great potential but finishing touches are lacking.

This was the most overpriced room I have booked in my 50+ years of travel. The Palihouse receptionist was empathetic enough to issue a $39.27 credit against the $718.73 total charge for the night, about double the cost the room should have been billed. The tiny room was decoratively painted, which is the only other positive attribute I can site. There was no formal clothes closet, so we left our bags packed. The mini one-person dressing area was separated from the toilet by a pocket-door and had but a single small wash basin. Palihouse, Santa Barbara, is strikingly over-priced and not advisable for the claustrophobic guest.

Beautiful boutique hotel that has the feel of cute Mediterranean styled apartments, each with a unique view of the hotel grounds. Dog friendly, including an apparently super comfy bed which my little pup loved.

We spent several days at the Palihouse in early August, and it was fantastic! Our room was on the first floor right by the pool, and despite there being a good number of guests staying in the hotel the entire experience felt incredibly private. Each room has a private patio or balcony, and that really helped enhance that secluded feeling. In terms of amenities, the pool was nice, the patio/cafe area was wonderful, the complimentary bikes were very fun to use to explore the area. The honor bar is a nice concept, but it's more of a novelty than something practical in my opinion. The location is excellent as well! It's just a couple blocks from the historic downtown area, which makes walking to and from a lot of interesting venues very easy, but it's also just far enough removed that you feel out of the hustle of the area, and it quiets down relatively early. All-in-all, this hotel is a must book!

the staff at the Palihouse are incredible. As good as it gets in terms of service at this price point. The hotel is wonderfully designed, centrally located, and the food and drink are fantastic. Four stars instead of five because we had a first floor room with some noisy upstairs neighbors. The staff handled it quickly and effectively, but this is a very old building, and there’s really no avoiding hearing the footsteps of the people in the room above you. The curse of a character building. We’ll be back, but we’ll request a room on the second floor!

A cute hotel, a great mix of casual and luxury. Walking distance from restaurants and sites in downtown SB. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the fitness center has everything you could want. Would highly recommend.

Made the best decision celebrating my birthday weekend here. The ambiance is so chic and lovely. They have a gorgeous patio with complimentary cocktail hour from 5-6 pm. They had a nice set up for the dog as well. Love their toiletries (all diptyque which is a brand I’m so fond of). Their location was excellent - 2 minute walk to the best Mediterranean restaurant (Zaytoun) , they also have complimentary bikes / helmets if you wanted to use to go to the beach or funk zone ! 100% would stay there again

Great reviews for a reason. I'm so happy we stayed here. We were here for our wedding (getting married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse). Great location. Beautiful hotel. They think of all the details here. The staff was super accommodating for everything we needed. Dog friendly. We felt so taken care of. We can't wait to come back for future honeymoons!

All the designs are wonderful except my room. The room I stay is dark and old. I think there are some other better rooms to choose in this hotel. And I love the grapefruit!

Low key and relaxing. Hip vibe. Very helpful and cheerful staff. A couple of blocks off State St.

We love staying at Palihouse House SB! This was our second stay, and just as wonderful, as the first. The atmosphere, location, and very friendly staff, are consistently, wonderful. The front desk and restaurant, employees, , were all very kind, and went above and beyond to help us. We can't wait to return! Thank you, Palihouse!

Nice quiet little hotel in Santa Barbara. Gas fireplace in the room. Nice added touches were the complementary champagne in the refrigerator, and the in room bar available for purchase. Not just the small single serving bottles, they had half bottles of mezcal and a nice bourbon in the selection. The available "honor bar" just outside the lobby had some nice selections also.

What a wonderful boutique hotel. From the moment we met Fabian at the front desk to entering our lovely, cozy room we have loved our time here. Thank you to all the staff for making this a wonderful get away.

Had the cutest studio room with lots of amenities. Noel/Noelle(?), who ran the afternoon happy hour was such a dream. The kind of personality & service that makes you come back. Great stay!

I loved the vibe of this place, very chilling and relaxing environment. A great California boutique hotel in a great location of Downtown. Room was clean and spacious. My room had a patio with garden view and a fireplace so no complaints about it.

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely setting and our room was delightful with plenty of in-room amenities. Pillows could be better.

This hotel is beautiful, sometimes almost poetic: the way the morning light streams through the patio doors, the sway of the palms above the (perfectly heated) pool, the soft buttery feel of the sheets. I can’t wait to experience more Palihouse properties.

It’s a very nice place under new ownership. Neat cabana colorful decor but I don’t think they have made any other upgrades. Too pricey for me now🤣
