Excellent service, great tasting food, love that they are willing to make plates smaller so you can try more things. I haven’t enjoyed any of the desserts I’ve tried at all the highly rated restaurants until here!! The mango dessert is amazing and you should definitely leave room. The Mexican touch on the risotto was awesome too! I wish my stomach was bigger so I could keep eating! The sauces were also so tasty! You probably aren’t supposed to put it on everything but it was so good! Other things to keep in mind, It’s dark inside and you have to walk to the center of the building to get an Uber as they aren’t allowed to stop near the entrance.

Wow, one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten! The beet salad was unique in both flavor and texture that each bite felt like a different dish. The risotto with white fish was light, yet full of flavor and the garnishes enhanced the flavors more. The beef shot ribs were delicious and tasted like a luxurious comfort food, yet wasn’t heavy. And the homemade corn tortillas tasted like the corn was just picked and made into a warm, soft tortilla. The extensive wine list made for some excellent pairings with our food. I can’t wait to go back again the next time I visit Mexico City.

Nice interior. Warm Welcome and very attentive waiters. Negroni was good. The mezcal pina was also good. Ordered a number of starters: Pink Mole with crispy root veg- again too sweet and the crispy root veg got soggy- interesting taste Crab tacos were too sour and could not taste the crab. Packets of Plaintain: inside was beans- too sweet. The tacos with coconut were good. Mains: Fish between mone and pippin- too dry/ overdone Poc choc - again too dry. Nice with tacos. Both deserts were excellent. Food was generally interesting and different from the usual but was too sweet generally. Service was excellent.

It was our first time here. We were a party of two and we got seated right away since we had a reservation. This is not just “another “ fancy restaurant; it’s a place that has passion for food and it’s reflected on every detail, from the decor, service, and ambiance everything is made to perfection. We ordered the beet salad, which was very tasty with a zesty flavor. We continued with the octopus tostadas and ended with the filet mignon served with the Aztec pie. Service is impecable and you can tell that you have at least 3 or 4 servers per table taking care of all your needs. The only corrective point would be the restroom; too small and unkept. It needs to be upgraded to match the restaurant elegant standards. Overall, great experience from beginning to end. Well done!

I was really looking forward to this place as it was our last night and the reviews were very, very high. While there were a few things I did enjoy, overall I felt the experience was lacking. Drinks: The drinks were just alright, nothing too special. The cocktail with Rose flavor in it was almost overpowering, perfumy if you will. Service: While they were very quick to switch out old plates and silverware for new, it almost seemed like we were rushed. A lot of the reviews mentioned that the service guides you on a journey, and I didn't get that vibe. Food: the Toast of Lies was very good. It's worth trying because it is so unique and the sauces are all delicious. The Esquite As A Risotto Risotto was good but so much of the same flavor, that by the end it lost its luster. The faux tacos were just ok. Very cool idea, but not a lot of flavor. It could have just been an off night but we weren't as blown away as some of the other diners.

Came here for my last night in Mexico. The appetizers were absolutely mid blowing, especially the small tostada's that were made out of coconut but tasted like meat. I chose duck for my main which was slowly cooked and marinated very well, since the taste was thick just hoped it came with some bread. The sea bass risotto was perfect too. They surprised me with a birthday card which was so sweet!

I loved this restaurant. They were very welcoming from the beginning. They took a little to take our order but the service after that was excellent. The sommelier was attentive to our wine and the waiters would usually stop by and check everything was fine. The food was good. I highly recommend the starters over the mains. We had some great “mentira” (lying) tostadas. They’re called that because they are made from coconut but taste like ceviche and cochinita (highly recommend them). We had some esquites (corn) as well. The Tenosique cheese was interesting. We also had the traditional sope and it was delicious and complex. The mains were pasta rolls covered in cheese with a white sauce that was delicious. We also ordered some succulent lamb that you could make into tacos. Lastly the risotto with white fish, which I found a little lacking. All in all a pretty good experience.

The food and overall dining experience was excellent. We started with cocktails and the esquite risotto starter which was delicious. My fettuccine was excellent. The plating and presentation was beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize that the restaurant closes early on Sunday and we closed it down at 7:40. we did not have time to try desserts or get coffee. This was our fault for not doing our research, but the server at our table disappeared after taking our mains order and NEVER reappeared. It would have been nice to have been offered dessert menus before the kitchen closed! Still great despite an abrupt ending.

Wow! I absolutely loved this restaurant, it combines amazing traditional Mexican ingredients in surprising ways achieving truly great dishes. I highly recommend it. The prices are a higher than average, but then again so is the food and by far. We ordered several appetizers and the waiters split them for us between a group of 4.

Pros: - beautiful ambiance! Was great for our date night - delicious and authentic flavors, very creative too! - service was really good, see last con - the drinks were imaginative and delicious, great flavors that paired well with the food - dessert was phenomenal! Cons: - seemed to have a huge wine fridge/collection, but the list was not very impressive and we ended up just doing cocktails all night - the food was, as the name suggests, very salty. One of our dishes was so salty it was inedible to us. Luckily, we let them know and they took it off the bill for us, which was gracious and we appreciated. The GM even came by to thank us for our feedback.

So far the best restaurant we’ve done in Mexico, great dish with simple but really smart combo and impeccable service all night long. The beef tongue was brillant ! Congrat to the team, you deserve the 4.9 star and the 50 best recognition.

This is a nice stylish place with decent ambience in polanco area , After reading the reviews I had high expectations I ordered the pink mole being vegetarian it was slightly sweet, tried the coconut lemonade it was decent . Starters was good. Can be tried once.

Really excellent meal, a bit out of the way for tourists spending most of their time in Roma/Condesa but cool to see a new neighborhood. The food was really unique and excellent. We felt the service was also attentive and the atmosphere upscale and a bit quiet. Would recommend for a fine dining meal at a reasonable price. We paid about $2500 for two here including 2 drinks each.

This restaurant was recommended to us so we gave it a try. We had a reservation for 13.00 a clock and arrived 13.02. The door was locked. What a beautiful way to welcome guests. The team was still in a briefing. We had excellent food but the service was horrible. There were at least 15 waiters and in the first 30 min only 2 tables were occupied. The waiters were leaning on the wall, yawning and not attentive. We had to ask twice for the wine list. We ordered a glass if Rose and red. Three time they came with the wrong bottle of red. What a shame in a restaurant of this class. Especially when you order the wine via iPad electronically. For a dessert we had an espresso which was from Nespresso and almost cold. In a restaurant of this class I would expect a local coffee. Mexico has so good coffee and also excellent machines. It is a beautiful place and the food was delicious but there is still a long way to go. Mexico city has a better places to offer with excellent service.

Excellent restaurant! Service was outstanding. The venue was very nice and an outdoor terrace was also available for seating. Good cocktail and wine selection. Food was amazing. Menu was varied and balanced. Loved the jaiba tostadas, the chile de agua tacos, and the plantain “paquetitos” as appetizers. The steak with “tortilla azteca” was delicious. Nice mango with tapioca for dessert. Not expensive at all for the size of the portions and the quality of the food. Convenient parking inside the mall. Overall, one of the best Mexican restaurants in Mexico City, definitely a must!

  • 5/5 Derek S. 2 years ago on Google
Such a great experience. Well sized portions as noted in previous reviews as well as great staff all around. Beautiful ambiance and interior. Good mix of music. Also perfect volume as we heard it but didn't half to yell or talk loudly. I enjoyed the appetizers more than the main courses which were a little bit of a let down, but we went a little bold and were more for the choices we made and what we prefer in terms of how the protein was cooked. Appreciated the chef trying new things. In summation, this is a great bang for your buck for foreigners and would suggest for middle of the road cost, on a three day weekend. Do this, Pujol, and then cheap tacos and you won't be disappointed in your trip.

The best concert I have been part of. The poetry and well put together concept is high level. The menu introduces you to the exploration of fused traditional Mexican food while highlighting each authentic Mexican ingredient. As prelude, we tried the tostadas de mentira, coconut as the main character and I was totally amazed. we all wanted to order more. We continued with the Tierra de Luna, and they are one of the best things I have tasted, a perfect combination of beans and plantain that transported me to the south of the country. We also tried the Lengua de Res, lechón de navidad, short rib , filete de res y Entre mone y pipián. I highly recommend the Short rib and the mone and pipián fish as main course. They all have that sense of been taken to another place that you already know while discovering new flavors. We spent a lovely night in the great ambiance that Carmela and Sal offers. They definitely take care of every detail. A big congratulations to the team, staff was very friendly and attentive. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience at this restaurant. We were originally seated at a table for two but it quickly became apparent that our “neighbors” were not the nicest. No problem switching to a better table with our amazing server, Gabriel. If you are an English speaker, he is the most accommodating. As for the food, don’t pass up the octopus tostada, the Christmas pig or the coconut, mango dessert. A must-stop on your trip to Mexico City.

This is one of the best restaurant experiences of my life! The venue, ambience, food and service was all a 10/10! We had the best old fashioned cocktails, the food was unique, delicious and well presented. Waiters were very attentive. No wonder this place is so highly rated!

Excellent & very unique dining experience. The menu is incredibly interesting and creative. The staff explained that each recipe is original and an expression of music, colors and childhood memories. I regret not taking pictures, I was so engaged I forgot! The flavors are fun and intricate. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. My favorite part is that it's also pet friendly. Definitely work a visit. I'll be back and will take some pictures next time!

I’ve never written a review before but had to here. We came here for our last night in CDMX and it was easily the best meal during our week long trip. Food was fresh and exquisite—the combination of flavors surpassed expectations. One of the best parts was our server, Mario. He went to great lengths to help us choose our dishes (best were the risotto & short rib) and pair our wines perfectly. After dinner, he gave us a tour with a history of the Tabasco roots. Service and food 10/10. We’ll definitely be back.

Every dish was nearly not able to be eaten due to all the salt. It was all incredibly salty. Service was OK. They seemed to be in a rush (all of pur apps and entrees came out the exact same time etc egc ) with so many amazing spots in CDMX, this was truly dissapointing.

This is definitely a “must go” restaurant. The cocktails are so good. Each of us get 2 cocktails and none of them disappointed us. Delicious food! No idea how to describe it, the best way is try by yourself. Both sea bass and ribs are great. They have chocolate in the check box, don’t forget that. For restroom sign, i was confused a little… the one with longer hair is for women, shorter but not really short is for men.

A great place. Starting from the ambience: extremely clean shapes, colors, lot of space. Sober but elegant. Food: I loved the tostadas de pulpo, the ceviche with coconut milk and the "tostadas de mentiras". I liked less the tiradito (it tasted too much like mayonnaise). Their salsa macha got me addicted. Staff: Lovely! I would totally recommend this place.

Top notch restaurant. Plates are inspired by regional cousine of Tabasco, ingredients are high quality and the final result is delicious. Shared a few appetizers (portions are healthy): cheese, pare de res, hummus and sope de chicharrón prensado. As main course I went for short ribs, super tender, a bit fatty, in a sauce of I don't remember what. I paired the food with a some local artesanal beer. To wrap it up we shared a couple of tasty desserts. Service was very good, our server was very nice and gave us good recommendations. Price is fair for the quality. Nice environment.

My husband and I had high hopes for this place given the 4.7 star rating. Unfortunately, the only good thing about our experience was the cocktail my husband ordered. The sea bass ceviche was average. My seafood risotto was too sour and they were kind enough to replace it with their chicken breast dish. However, even the chicken breast dish was sour and too salty. All of their dishes seem to have too much lemon and salt in them. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

😐 This place is huge, and there's always a waiting line to get in, the menu is small and straighforward, but it's totally worth eating there... I would just say there are too many tables per room, and sometimes the waiters are less than attentive becsuse of the amount of customers... still worth it.
