Absolutely stunning views. The staff are super friendly and the food that Doris cooks is exceptional. Great location with some beautiful waterfalls to walk to. This really is a special place!

Really relaxed placed. We have seen more than 30 different species of birds during our stay.

It is a superb hostel. The view that you have from it is amazing. It s perfect place to relax, read a book enjoy the nature, listen to birds. Some small and nice hikes are available from there. The food is delicious there It s a small hostel with a family atmosphere Staff is super friendly i had a superb stay thanks again!

Everything about this place is amazing: Valentin, Doris and her daughters, Clement, the dogs Nala and Layla and their fearless cat! The food is absolutely amazing and the views spectacular. Doris deserves a Michelin star! The walk to the Jaguar waterfall was great and the waterfall incredibly impressive. We ate together like a family and the atmosphere was very nice and chill since we were the only ones staying (low season). Really an amazing place to detox from hectic Colombian cities and fried food. Also the warm showers were amazing! I wish you guys all the best up there in the mountain!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mano Verde. It was very peaceful and serene, and was a great getaway from all the busier tourist areas. We especially loved the hike to the falls nearby, and were delighted that the owner’s two dogs accompanied us on the entire hike. Highly recommend staying there - our only regret is not having stayed longer :)

SPECIAL. REMOTE. NATURE. UNIQUE. We are a couple from Germany: Mano Verde is the most beautiful location far up the Sierra Nevada. Not like places in Minca, not touristic, but impressive nature and a unique view (sunset view!) over the whole mountain and the sea in the back as well! Cooked dinner with freshly harvested fruits and vegetables out of Valentins garden together. A stay at mano verde with Valentin will leave you speechless, you will learn about perma culture, he can tell you about sustainable approaches for farming. Jungle walks to a huge waterfalls where no other tourists go to because it’s far up in the mountains. We made raw chocolate banana pancakes with 100% natural organic bananas from the garden and 100% healthy raw chocolate from the neighbour. We learned to cook a green papaya desert with papayas from the garden. Cooked mint tea with mint from the garden. Played with his super sweet dogs. If you are searching for real sustainability, perma culture and are trying to escape from tourism -> this will be your dream place ❤️

Excelente lugar. Perfecto para descansar junto a la naturaleza, para oír el canto de las aves y ver los mejores atardeceres.

Se puede llegar pero en vehículo 4x4. Sitio fantástico

Wunderschöne Unterkunft, sehr nette Crew, sehr leckeres Essen. Die Besitzer arbeiten noch an den Portionsgrößen. Für hungrige Mäuler macht es aber eventuell Sinn etwas extra Essen dabei zu haben, da die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit relativ weit entfernt ist.

Super expérience en plein cœur de la Sierra nevada. Ambiance refuge très appréciable, les chambres sont tops et la cuisine délicieuse. En plein cœur de la nature on a adoré cette parenthèse.

Merveilleux et fantastique! La maison de Valentin est géniale et accueille jusqu'à 12 personnes. Le spot est unique: calme absolu et coucher de soleil de dingue. Il faut de bonnes jambes, un 4x4 ou une mototaxi pour y accéder, demandez à Valentin. La cuisine est top, après 2 mois de riz et haricots, c'est le régal absolu, merci Doris. Il y une superbe cascade, des fincas de café et des toucans à admirer. Et on y parle espagnol, français, anglais. Alors n'hésitez plus et allez y!

This was, hands down, the best hostel I have stayed at in South America. About 40 minutes by Mototaxi out of Minca deep in the rainforest (an adventure in itself), Mano Verde Hostel is truly a hidden gem. Super comfortable and clean, hot showers, potable water, impeccable service from Doris, both Valentins and all of the staff, incredible food served family-style and very affordable. Great hikes to beautiful waterfalls and fincas, with Valentin’s lovely dog guides in tow, and also plenty of space to relax, disconnect and do nothing for the day. Also met so many excellent people here. If you’re looking for an off the beaten track experience with a more intimate family feel than the bigger hostels in town, please look no further. I cannot recommend it enough. Muchísimas gracias a todos por hacerme sentir en casa!

Definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed, the view from the hostal is amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing, chill and have nice hikes. The hostal is clean.The adventure already starts with the mototaxi trip to the hostel. The hike to the Jaguar waterfall (or cascada escondida) is beautiful and the two dogs of the owner come with you the whole way (~3 hours approximately). The service and the staff is just incredible, every meal feels like a family meal and the food was extremely good and healthy. Thanks to Doris, Valentin and Clement for the great stay! Stop looking and stay in this hostel.

Best hostel I’ve stayed at. I ended up staying a week. You really get to disconnect and the area is just beautiful! The food has been the best I’ve had so far! Everyone is really nice. And the dogs accompany during the hikes.
