We stayed there for five days with many family members (we were around 40 people) because we went for a marriage, and it was there worse experience ever. I have been in plenty of hotels around the globe and this hotel is definitely the worst of all. I will tell you why: - The images and videos shown on their website and networks are not up to date, the hotel is in a precarious condition. Some buildings are even abandoned, their only guests are bats and black vultures - Electricity is rationed during the day, meaning that between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm there is no electricity and consequently no air conditioning or fan ... and those are the hottest times during the day - There is no internet, only at the reception and it works intermittently - There is no coherence in the proposed rates, it seems that everyone puts a price on the services. We wanted to have Christmas dinner with them, in principle the price was 60,000 Colombian pesos, and the day we went to pay, they asked us for 100,000 pesos without any explanation - The cleaning and general services staff are friendly, but those who work in reception and those in charge of personnel management are not. - The room they gave us at first was a two-bedroom apartment, our room, which was the main one, had a mattress full of ants, the bathtub still had hair from former guests and the air conditioning was hot - The price they put for their services is ridiculous compared to what you receive, it is a scam in reality. In that same area you can find better hotels for the same price, and at least they don't use the name "4-star Resort" to offer you a 1-star service There are two positive things that I can highlight about our stay, the cleaning staff, especially Mrs. Martha from module 10 and the SPA services but we will never go back to that place and we will certainly never recommend it Diana

Very bad. Lousy Service. They say no to everything. Power cuts often, in our case three times in three days. When the power goes down also does the Water supply. The resort didn’t allow us to use the kitchen under threat of charging a fine. The billar was full of sand. There is a General lack of maintenance of the facilities, an abandoned building hosting bats. The buffet is very limited

A hotel that is trying quite hard and could be amazing but misses a few things. The food should be outstanding, but sadly while we were there it was super basic. There are some rooms which seriously need renovation. That said there are some nice features and it is relaxing to be based on so close to the beach with decent facilities.

Perfect place. There is no hot water in the shower but I heard that is the same in all the hotels in the area

Stayed for 1 week. Staff friendly enough, rooms clean. No safety box. I needed to stock up with a sponge, cloth, and soap for the kitchen, plus salt and oil. Luckily the hotel has a small store where i also purchased food at a fare price. The restaurant food is very good; at night there is a buffet where you can usually choose between 2 meals and this was 37COP. The pool and private beach are beautiful. It is very easy to catch a bus to Tayrona, Palomino, and Santa Marta. Recepción was great help with all the questions i had.

Absolutely worst experience! I am on day one of a 3 day stay. DO NOT PAY for the package deal with food and drink provided! They will take your money and serve you terrible food! The bar let's you have the worst drinks for 4 hours from 3pm to 7pm included in package. Rude to guests because we already paid. They have bad attitudes. The food is so bad I had to buy a 53,000 steak that was smaller than my fist. Was the nasties meat I've ever had!!! Terrible chef here! They also booked a wedding during my stay so we have no peace and quite at all. Music blasting and vibrating the whole room. DO NOT COME HERE! It's a waste of money

The resort in average is good , the meals were delicious and good quantity, the staff service is good but some of them are a bit rude , the WiFi is terrible there isn't any place to catch it beside the reception, it should be all around is a plus , some of the towels were delayed since the first day , we had to ask at 8 pm for it and we had to wait , the pool towels also weren't available. For the price is a good place, they need to improve amenities like body soap , shampoo, towels and the moisture smell in some of the rooms. The swimming pool is clean , the jacuzzi too, toilets around these areas too, good liquor quality , also they might need to improve the pool tables their condition is terrible , with all the money that they make , they should refurbish them or buy new ones .

Trashy hotel with terrible customer service! I stayed here a few years ago and it was great. But now it's become a rundown place and the management are not interested in the residents' concerns. There are too many problems to list here but, to name a few: cockroaches in the rooms, no chairs by the pool, pathetic breakfast, rude management, old rooms, broken appliances...

We got to spend some much need time at Mendihuaca and our experience was nothing less than excellent. The people and services were wonderful and we got to rest while the kids enjoyed the pool. We visited the adjacent towns and bought fresh and local food and fruits. The scenery is beautiful and the wind from the beach was amazing. The beach is not as calm and we did not get to enjoy it as much, but we certainly love every moment spend in this dream-relaxed vacation.

Absolutely loved this resort. My wife and I weren't too sure on what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The room faced the ocean, had two bedrooms and a spacious living area. Fridge, sink and living room were nice to have. No hot water throughout the resort, but it was extremely hot when we visited, so the cool water was refreshing. Pool was well cared for, drinks were good and food was delicious. The breakfasts were our favorite. Also, the staff was were great. I had a bad fever about 4 nights into the stay and the front desk lady, I think her name was Debra, opened the little snack store for us to get more water and meds and later on brought up tea on her own. Went way out of her way to make me feel comfortable. The resort seems to be a bit dated, but I wasn't expecting a Hilton or anything like that. It was very comfortable, affordable and relaxing. The beach was too rough to actually go in the water though. My wife and I also got a couple spa treatment, which was amazing. I think we paid 35$ US for 2hrs of treatment. Best spa ever. Highly recommend.

Great place to rest! Beach, swimming pool, good facilities, kind people. The food can be better.

Overall I don’t have much bad if any to say about this resort. It’s very well set up and the pool and views are amazing. They are a bit strict with meal timing and drink sizes. You get free meals with your package but it’s within an hour and a half time frame. If you don’t make that you won’t get your meal. You have the option to take your meal to go if you’d like. The free drinks they offer with the package are not large by any means and they are more shots of the drinks. I understand as a resort they are trying to save money where they can but drinks are something I think they should make normal size and cut costs elsewhere just for the principle. You have the option to buy drinks and food but after the cost of the resort it seems excess. It’s not too expensive for a stay over 2 nights. The pool is huge the help is friendly and very nice. You are not allowed to bring in your own food or liquor without paying for it but if you are sneaky you can get some in. They aren’t too picky about it but if they see it they’ll make you leave in car. The beaches outside are amazing and me and my fiancée walked the beach all the way to the Mendihuaca river. That is a beautiful fun little town a couple miles down the beach where the river meets the ocean. Recommended trek. The rooms are comfy with refrigerators and AC units in the bedroom. Soap only but no shampoo in showers. The balconies are very nice and relaxing. The meals are healthy and delicious. This resort I would go to again but I’d bring my bug spray as my legs got eaten up by mosquitoes 😔 The only phone service that works at this location is Claro, so if you don’t have this then make sure you get a Claro SIM card before you go as the rooms DO NOT have wifi. there is a bit that is sporadic in the reception area but it’s on and off. This was kind of a big deal to me and anyone that works remotely I can imagine it’s be an issue for. The main thing to understand about this resort is there is no stability in terms of the rooms you get as these rooms are bought by different owners as timeshares. So as one owner may take good care of his room as ours did, others may not so much. So keep this in mind as I leave a good review, the other bad ones may have owners that are not so diligent with cleanliness and amenities. I would say recommended for us but others may not have same experience with their rooms.

Terrible service, totally overpriced for the state of the place. Don't buy the food package, they just take your money for terrible food and if ur not on time you have to pay extra. They make you pay for everything, even a plastic bag for your wet stuff.
