How great is a hotel that has cats!? Update: cats are still great! Plus they added DirecTV!

Very bad! One of the hotel employees was in our room and wanted to steal from us. I accidentally caught him as I entered the room. Luckily nothing was missing because I entered short after him. But he opened our backpacks and tried to steal. The hotel manager unfortunately didn’t want to believe us.

Beautiful hotel, nice pool. Very close to downtown (10 min walking or $2 USD in 🚕. Breakfast are delicious, the owner of hotel can make to you a French creeps. If you gonna stay in Santa Marta you must rest here.

Had an awesome experience staying here. The owner & staff are all great! Feels like I was at a resort, very cozy, beds/pillows were comfortable. If this place backed onto the water, I would lock myself here for a week and not leave!!

Wonderful hotel. The staff are so friendly and they have some cute little animals around, including a tortoise which hangs around by the pool. The rooms are very nice and the pool is absolutely perfect. Tranquil, authentic, reasonably priced. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Santa Marta.

Canadian traveller here!- This was such an amazing hotel for our trip to Santa Marta. We're glad we chose this spot for our base point for all our activities. The Hotel manager and staff were all friendly and were always fast to help. The hotel is super secure and in a very safe part of town. The room was cleaned daily! The garden and pool are phenomenal, well kept and a modern pool. 4 options for breakfast (We tried them all and they were delicious and fresh!). Short drive from the Market plaza and Parque de Los novios (perfect for a night out and food). We stayed while going on our outings to Minca, Tayrona, and the beaches. They are super communicative over WhatsApp and everything was seamless. The wifi was great and they even had a TV in our room with Netflix. I went with my girlfriend and we were so sad to leave. Special thanks to Sandra at the front desk for all your recommendations of food spots! Loved them all. When we come back, this is the only place that will be on my list! (Ps I'm upset I didn't take more photos of the beautiful and homey design and decor!)

Stay here!!! Nice hotel, nice decoration, kind service, good breakfast and in general so satisfied with everything. Beautiful peaceful place to stay in Santa Marta, not closed to downtown or turist areas.

Unfortunately I was not able to visit Santa Marta in this trip as I had planned. So this review is merely for the customer service of Camali Hotel. They were very understanding to give me a full refund even though I had made a purchase that was non-cancellable. So while this review is not a full perspective I think based on my experience that they value their customers and prospective customers

The staff are wonderful. They're very friendly. The rooms are clean. The pool is nice and so is the surrounding area. My girlfriend is from Santa Marta and she loves the hotel as well. When we come back we will stay here again. We still have one day left here

Excellent beautiful hotel. We enjoyed our stay for 1 night initially, but after coming back from Minca, we spent 2 more nights. I do have a few minor suggestions: 1. The door only locks with a key from inside, which is very inconvenient. 2. No shampoo was provided, only soap 3. Provide "Do Not Disturb" and "Make My Room" signs so that we can hang it on the door handle as needed. We went out of lunch and came back to notice that our room was cleaned. Nothing wrong, but we were not aware of this as we had all our personal and financial belongings out and unlocked when we left for lunch. So it would be good to let us know of this or provide us with the door handle signs.

I can not recommend this Hotel. I made reservations through Expedia, I was assured that we could pay at time of Check In. Unfortunately I had to cancel the Reservation. I received a Email from Expedia saying I would receive a refund to my Credit Card on the full amount of $351.40 US Dollars. After many Emails back and forth I was notified I could only receive a voucher. I live in America and this would be our only time visiting Columbia. A Voucher will not do me any good. I've now lost $ 351.40 US dollars. This has been a very negative experience. I cannot recommend Hotel Camali in Santa Marta Columbia.

beautiful, spaceous, great pool, great staff, food, service. I loved it! it got loud Friday night from a bar next door, Mon-Thu was quiet.

Amazing place, amazing host! John was super helpful and friendly all along the way, the place feels like a small family and makes you want to stay Highly recommend, will definitely come again.

What a great hotel. The staff are super friendly and help with everything. Breakfast is freshly prepared every morning and is very tasty. Comfortable beds, great atmosphere and fair price. Love it

We had a great stay at this beautiful hotel with its really helpful and friendly French owner. He did everything he could to make our stay perfect and to help us finding a driver to bring us and our many many bags to the next city - Thanks again so much for all your kind help! The rooms were cozy and the a/c worked very well, there was no warm water in the shower, but due to the temperatures outside, it wasn't a problem at all. A hair dryer could be borrowed at the reception at all times. The pool area as well as all the public areas in the hotel were just beautiful. We would definitely come back again!

I will recommend this hotel, my second time in Santa Marta and my second time at this place.... You will not go wrong with this place..... Staffing is highly professional.... They strive to make you feel at home.... Prices are great..... March, 2022. As always, service, breakfast, cleanliness is at best 👌....
