*Good sized outdoor space on sidewalk and a few tables on the street. Easy to get a table on Saturday night (10 min wait and they do takeaway drinks) What can I say about Father’s Office that hasn’t already been said? We know the burger is INCREDIBLE AND MUST BE ORDERED, even if you’re thinking of branching out. Do not resist the burger. GET IT. Unless you’re a vegetarian. If that’s the case, I’d definitely recommend the spiced cauliflower with lentil hummus, mint, and yogurt. And the shoestring fries! I had sweet potato fry envy after placing our order but when the reg fries came, I was happy there were so many on the basket (they lasted longer). It also goes without saying that their beer selection is A+!

Okay. So, with reading all these great reviews, I decided to try this place out. Coming in, I was sort of disappointed with the interior. But, it was okay. It's 21+ so they check your I.D right when you come in. We ordered the burgers w/ frites (fries) aaaaaaaaand it was meh. It wasn't exceptionally great. They also don't have ketchup. Which is something I personally don't mind, but two people next to us asked for ketchup while we were there, and when they were told that they don't have ketchup... they were very disappointed. They also made the comments that not having ketchup is quite snobby. So, yeah. The place was alright. Would I come back? No.

By far and away my favorite burger in LA. I like everything about it without any changes or substitutions. Plus Fathers Office has a great vibe and a great selection of beer. Last time I was in, Pliny the Elder was proudly on tap. Combining that with a great burger and I’m really enjoying my meal. Looking forward to my next trip to LA so I can grab another burger.

It is a small bar. Only for 21+. You order everything at the bar and then get seated. The food selection from the menu is not diverse but it is very tasty. Everything we had was amazing! And the beer was cold. They do have restrooms and the service ( even though there is not actual service) people tending were nice. You can park on the streets.

The salt and vinegar tater tot’s were AMAZINGLY awesome. My only reason for four stars… The Office Burger was great but it was served on a different bun which made for a very messy eating experience. Also the arugula was a bit too much and just overwhelmed the burger itself. It felt more like a salad between two non-burger buns. Also the bread used was super soggy which made for more squishy eating which isn’t what i was expecting. The bread was completely soaked thru… no bueno. Just food for thought! The staff was amazing and very cool of course!

Smaller than the one in Culver, but doesn't lack the quality. Food and drinks were great!

Let me be honest….. I only stopped in for a quick beer with a friend. Never had the food but I heard it s very good. My experience with the beer was great. They have 20+ taps with lots of interesting kinds. I had a mango Heffinvise (spelling?). It was awesome. They have both inside and outside seating and a cool vibe

Very pretentious for def not the best burger in LA as they claim - it’s ok for sure, but not worth the hassle and headache they cause to have one. And if you’re allergic to something on the menu, they won’t modify it under any circumstance; the owner, and I quote, “is happy for you to sue him if youre allergic to the food and get sick”. I honestly think they are proud to be jerks pretty sure they think it helps sell the place. Also can’t manage to update their hours properly on google. Your call but there’s other bar food around if that’s what you’re into.

Let's start with the positives. The fries were lovely. The wine was good, and a generous pour. The burger, the oh so famous burger, was such a massive disappointment. If it were made of dry aged/superior beef then I would not have known; it was so drowned in caramelized onion that was all I could taste. Surely there should be balance in the toppings so the blue cheese and the sweeter onion play off each other. Not here. The bun was toasted - the top part was too toasted so I just discarded that. For $21 for the burger alone, this is not a "fast food" price yet it's not the gourmet experience it promises, or its reputation trades on. The atmosphere is not exciting either. Nothing "gastro pub" here. Felt more like a hole in the wall and on a very hot night I don't believe there was air conditioning, just a ceiling fan. But maybe I am wrong here and it was just on very low. Either way, I'm glad I tried it. Now I know it's not for me.

Not that many places leave you craving a bite consistently for over 20 years. We’re blessed in Santa Monica to have a place on Montana Ave offering fine dining type dishes at bar food prices. Say what you want about the burger, but you’re still talking about it. Smart thing to do is to try for yourself and form your own opinion. I can eat the tater tots daily and sometimes do. I appreciate that there are seasonal dishes and the attention paid to plating. Obviously no one will impress you more with their beer selection and the bartenders are some of the most knowledgeable in town. Never change FO.

Hard to tell what beers they have by reading the menu, gotta ask the bar tender, they won’t allow any any changes to menu items (can’t even sub fried for yam fries even though they technically serve both), the place is crowded without much seating and finding a table can be a challenge. All of this does not matter however because the burger is exquisite. 5 star classic.

Do not let the blue cheese on the burger scare you away. I HATE blue cheese but ordered it anyways based on everyone saying it was the best. The blue cheese is VERY mild and works perfectly with the burger. Absolutely amazing, the best burger I have ever eaten.

Lovely place with outstanding service, cuisine and beer. I got the Arancini and the Spanish Mushrooms - both were wonderful.

This place has the best hamburgers on the planet! The french fries not so much unless you get the sweet potato fries those are pretty darn good. Great variety of beers it's a little dark in the place but that's a nice mood. But the burgers are always the best You need to stop by and try one!

Father's Office has been on my list for a while now, and finally got the chance to see what the fuss is all about over the 4th of July weekend. The atmosphere, I can rock with. The peeps working there, I can also rock with. Very cool people there. The Food!?! I dunno. The burger was good, I'll give em that. But $9 for a lil plate... Not a BASKET!... a LITTLE plate of tater tots!?! And don't even get me started on the ribs. What a rip off! 6 pieces of tiny-Burnt pork ribs... 6 PIECES! In some brown sugarary mess of a glaze for $25... C'mon. Wecan expect a full slab for that price. Nothing special, they SOLD OUT. just charging crazy high prices for their name. I wanted to give a good review. But, just NOT worth it for the price. Do ya actually care about the patrons? Or is it just about the $$$ ?

My son said it had the best burger in LA. So, we got the burger. And it did not disappoint! LA is a big town with some classic "best burgers" like Tommy's and In n Out, but as far as the best gourmet burger? Father's Office gets my vote!

Burgers are ok. Not bad; but over-rated. They’re like C-list wannabes pretending to be A-list with the whole “we don’t serve ketchup” thing. Franklin Barbecue serves ketchup—this place isn’t even in the same sport, let alone the same league, as Franklin Barbecue.

Fantastic burgers that are actually cooked the way you order them! Good selection of craft brews, too. They have a street side patio, which is a must these days.

The Office Burger with Maytag Blue Cheese and Bacon is pretty close to the perfect burger. I have a friend who makes us go try every "Best Burger" in LA. This one is high on the list. Go check it out!
