Union Cafe: Exceptional Experience! Exceptional Breakfast and Coffee Experience at Union Cafe in Antigua Guatemala! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Union Cafe in Antigua Guatemala for breakfast, and I must say, it was an outstanding culinary experience. From the moment I walked in, the cozy and charming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The breakfast plates at Union Cafe are simply fantastic. The menu offers a wide variety of options, ranging from classic favorites to unique and creative dishes. I opted for their signature dish, and it exceeded all expectations. The presentation was impeccable, and the flavors were a delightful symphony on my taste buds. Every bite was filled with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced seasoning. Now, let's talk about the coffee. As a coffee lover, I'm always on the lookout for a great cup of joe, and Union Cafe definitely delivered. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. Their baristas are true artists; they crafted a flawlessly brewed cup of coffee that was rich, smooth, and oh-so-satisfying. It's evident that Union Cafe takes great pride in sourcing their beans and ensuring top-notch quality in every cup. The staff at Union Cafe deserves a special mention. They were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. They made excellent recommendations, provided prompt service, and their passion for their craft shone through in every interaction. It's clear that they genuinely care about their customers' experience. The ambiance of Union Cafe is truly captivating. The decor combines modern elements with traditional Guatemalan touches, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're seated inside or on their charming outdoor patio, you're guaranteed a delightful setting to enjoy your meal. Overall, my experience at Union Cafe was nothing short of exceptional. The delicious breakfast plates, the meticulously brewed coffee, the attentive staff, and the inviting ambiance all contribute to making this place a true gem in Antigua Guatemala. If you're looking for a memorable breakfast experience with outstanding coffee, Union Cafe is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Good food. Night club atmosphere. Just tried to work here. In a word, don't even bother. It was impossible due to the power music throughout the cafe. The people next to me had trouble conversing and I watched another remote worker come in and decide to leave rather than even try. Are they trying to deliberately chase out people trying to work from here? Good place for lunch but stay away if you want to be able to hear yourself think.

I appreciated that they served bulletproof coffee but the Wi-Fi was in and out so we struggled to work. The seating here is ergonomically good and the breakfast is solid. They had some gluten-free options for snacks as well. We will come back here and just hope that the Wi-Fi is better on a different day because the rest of it is a five-star place.

Unique breakfast options with great smoothies. The vibes in here were absolutely amazing and I got their homemade with real food, gluten free pancakes which were filling yet soft. My fiancé got a version of avocado toast and said it was really good!

I didn’t get food but the smoothie list is extensive! Got the Smart smoothie with almond milk - so delicious ✨ I want to go back to stay a while. I got line para llevar (&with almond milk it was 7q extra). Highly recommend!

I love this place. It's cozy and they have free wi-fi. Smoothie was delicious. I have bad asthma and it's been acting up so I had a golden glow and it was delicious. The turmeric helps with inflammation and it helped a lot. They have cookies and muffins, crepes, breakfast and lunch. There is way more to the menu than what I posted. A hidden gem.

I had a rather disappointing experience at what seemed like a charming place. The service was extremely poor, with only one waitress (with a terrible attitude) who took 20 minutes to bring us the menu and another 20 minutes to take our order (despite the lack of a large crowd, as she was occupied with her phone). The food itself was quite underwhelming. The tortillas appeared to be recently thawed and were served cold and in pieces, while the tacos were excessively salty. Even the banana pancakes lacked the expected banana flavor, and the fruit itself was not properly cleaned. The only redeeming aspect was the drinks, cocoa and coffee smoothie, as well as a refreshing iced latte. Overall, I would not recommend this place, especially considering the steep prices for the subpar quality of food served.

I’ve visited Union Cafe a couple times for their smoothies and brunch. I loved the Breakfast smoothie, and their Panza Verde special. It’s a cute cafe with lovely staff, and it’s perfect for eating in or getting takeaway. There’s also free WiFi.

This has to be my favorite coffee spot in Antigua. Breakfast was really tasty and filling, plus really healthy too. The smoothies are amazing, we can't get enough of them. I also love their happy hour, works perfectly no matter if I need coffee while getting work done or a couple drinks with my friends! Of course I gotta mention just how cute this place is, such a confortable place to go work in. Love this place!

A nice Place for breakfast in the heart of Antigua. Local Coffee is included when you order a breakfast meal. I had a breakfast burrito and an omelette. Both comes with fresh fruit. This was one of my favorite breakfasts in Antigua. Menu is pretty good, food and presentation was great. Pricing is also great. I loved that they had a lot of healthy food and beverage options. Coffee coming with the meal was a huge plus (also allowed an OK substitution). Service was a bit slow at times. The guy with the dark curly hair was super sweet, the short haired woman does come across as gruff and not very friendly. Helpful all the same. Solid option to start your day.

This was such a cute cafe! I'm going to be real though this was pricier than I thought especially being in Latin America. My meal and smoothie was $12. The banana pancakes were bomb though and so fluffy and decadent and the vibes are on point.

absolutely phenomenal place!!! spent many mornings here for breakfast, brunch, snacks, a lunch or two, and even an afternoon of meetings. The staff are kind, attentive, patient, and let you be when you just need to work. The space is GORGEOUS so you can instagram your stunning workplace while you Zoom from Antigua, Guatemala 💁‍♀️! And the food and drinks are just to die for!!! Everything is so fresh and healthy! They have endless options, all kinds of breakfasts that you could want; hearty lunch options; sweet and savory snacks; and of course delectable coffees. I would come here every day if I lived in Antigua!

Such a lovely place for a brunch and chat with someone. I got the ginger lemon tea(cold) and loved it. The food was presented so well and balanced nutritionally. The service neatness and friendly staff all made it a great experience.

Food and drinks were delicious. Fantastic atmosphere and place to relax/work. Staff was also friendly, but service was a bit slow/lacking after bringing items ordered (no follow up/check in). Otherwise definitely recommend stopping in and enjoying your time.

After spending a week in Antigua, this was easily my favorite cafe and restaurant to chill at! Grabbed coffee and breakfast here a few times and was never disappointed. They take pride in what they do and it shows! The Guatemalan coffee is top notch and their food is elegant and prepared to perfection. Great menu for breakfast and lunch. Service was second to none and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. They have a tranquil little garden courtyard inside that was wonderful to crack out a laptop and get some work done. Highly recommended!

The coffee is not good. Just normal tasty. But the price is expensive. They charged the 10% tip. Bad experience. Go to other cafes, please. you can enjoy much better testy coffee and service.

This place was great. It’s not a contest, but the Union Cafe probably has the best wifi, food, and ambiance in town. I’m a total meat lover, yet didn’t even notice this place was vegetarian until the second time I came. The food they make is that good and filling. Naturally, my friend, who is vegetarian, couldn’t shut up about this place 😁.

Good food. Good coffee. Good vibes. And wifi if you need to get some work done. A regular destination for me when I'm in Antigua.

This little cafe packs a delicious vegetarian punch! The feel is cozy but not claustrophobic and you are surrounded by beautiful flowers and vines as you eat. Staff here mostly speak English, and they were very kind and accommodating. I had the avocado toast, and it may have been the best tasting thing I had in Antigua. Delicious buttered brioche bread absolutely stacked with fresh guac, sautéed mushrooms, sprouts, eggs, arugula and served with fresh fruit, roasted tomatoes and salsa on the side. Also drank what has become my favorite chai latte ever from a cup that looked about as wide as my face. Delicious!! Stop by for sure.

Great atmosphere, excellent oatmeal and great banana pancakes!. However the service is slow! and the orange juice is horrible!. suggestion….fresh squeezed!.

I had cafe con leche and "El Brunch". Was fantastic and filling. Apparently you could ask for more pancakes but I was happy with the portion served. Delicious. Clockwise... Fruit sprinkled with Chia seeds and coconut, a small yogurt & granola parfait. One braised Roma tomato with mushrooms. 3 mini pancakes. White beans. Honey. Blackberry puree. YUM!

Nice coffee place with good selection of breakfast options. It is also nice to sit and study there which you also see others doing quite often. The seating area is half inside and half outside. Can be a bit cold.

Tania and Cris are amazing and help create an awesome vibe. The food is really great too and healthy, I was really impressed. I didn't come there to work but it looks like a good spot for that, many others were on laptops. Overall if you are looking for a good atmosphere and healthy food that fills you up, this is it!
