Awesome and very different experience. Authentic, Similar to a good traditional tapas bar. Lots of people in the bar, everything "home-made" and unique simple setting. The best empanadas gallegas I've ever tried, lots of shellfish . Can't miss the caldo gallego (Galician soup) it's a must especially after the Camino!! Reservations are not accepted. We waited like 15-20mins for a table while eating empanadas and drinking albariño €2.40 a glass or €14 bottle. Really sensible priced. Don't expect fancy, not even comfy, just eat and leave satisfied :)

From the front and the inside, this place looks basic but you won't be disappointed with the food. We only came for a snack and had the pulpo which was great. It looked like all the locals were getting the crab and seafood platters which looked delicious. The service is quick but it does lack a friendly touch.

After a road trip of 10 days in Rías baixas I tried the best octopus here. Tender but not soft and tasty with good amount of paprika. Padrón peppers are also very good and lacon also to recommend. Empanada thought is very dry and I won't advise to take it. Service is quick but prompt as they want to serve as many tables as possible (probably need to wait). Also the atmosphere is very cramp, you might feel in a cave with it much isolation. Overall a very good experience with ad event price in a old style taverna!

Best seafood I've ever had. Recommended by a local and was not disappointed. Friendly service, great portions and lovely food. Toilet is very basic and there's just one in the restaurant.

Octopus, pimentos Padron, lacon. All surreal. This place is a gem. Efficient and quick staff. Quality at a good price. Would recommend.

A nondescript store from the outside but the black cat invites. It looks very chaotic inside but even if no one speaks fluent English, you are warmly welcomed and served. The food is excellent. You get fresh seafood at a fair price! Definitely a must go for foodies.

Wonderful, authentic Taverna specializing in quality, fresh Galician Seafood. It is always busy and they do not take reservations so expect to queue for a table. Give you name on arrival at the bar and you will be called in turn as tables become available. Very reasonably priced for fantastic fresh seafood. The Chopo is simply amazing and the Pulpo always cooked perfectly.

This is a traditional Galician tavern, with hand made fresh food. For a real old school experience, do not miss this place. The owner is extremely friendly and the staff work very hard to bring you a taste of the real Galicia at decent prices. It's busy and crowded but that's only because the food is gorgeous. Do not miss this place!

Great seafood at reasonable prices. Service was fast and courteous. Do not expect a fancy place but rather a traditional local tavern a stone shot from the cathedral hidden in an small alley.

Crowded even during the lowest of the seasons, this place has really good food. Service is, as someone mentioned, chaotic, but not rude. Wine is served in a wide and shallow porcelain cup that reminded me of the way they sometimes drink tea in Japan. Food comes in simple plates was well, but when you taste it you realize why the hell this is so packed. Percebes where on par with the best I’ve ever had (Ramiro, Lisbon, of course), and the pulpo was juicy, tender and with perfect seasoning.

A hole in the wall full of locals and which served delicious and affordable Galician seafood. Perfect first lunch right after arriving in Santiago de Compostela post-camino! It could get a bit noisy, and the line for seating could get long, but definitely worth it! The pulpo, mussels, and cockles were fresh and yummy. Service was fast and to the point.

A place with really tasty dishes (and really great seafood). It's a typical Spanish restaurant, where everything is done rapidly. Therefore you should not expect long explanations by waitress, which is in my opinion absolutely ok, as you get a good and fast service even when the place is full (and it is typically full) of clients. My recommendation in Santiago.
