We booked "superior double room" and it looked nothing like the pictures on Booking. When confronted about it they told us first "yeah the pictures online are different and we have had complains about this before but we can't do anything”. After insisting, they offered us a smaller room that looked more acceptable, but it was still not what we paid for. Also the room they changed us to had no desks or tables and the closet was inside the bathroom.

Nelda went above and beyond to accommodate my family! She made us feel very welcomed and confortable at all times! In the morning Juan took care of us by making sure we had the best breakfast and including my husbands religion in the menu, we were so grateful! We loved Juan very much! Wonderful place , It has an old charm and is decorated to perfection with beautiful vintage pieces and information about my beautiful country and this wonderful place zona colonial. I highlights recommend this place! Closed to everything in zona colonial and they will make sure your stay is the very best!!

The property is beautiful! Therefore, some matters has to be addressed like; Arrivals and Departures- the hotel has a small entrance located in a one way street and narrow. Washrooms and shower area need maintenance and improvement. I've had a clogged shower and poor experience at the cabin. The bedroom is large and comfortable. Unfortunately noise and light - brightness can disturb you in the evening if you're at the ground floor - facing the pool. Last, whole team were lovely , friendly and supportive.

Hidden gem in the centre of zone colonial. Very welcoming, attentive owner and super helpful and friendly staff , especially big thank you to Juan and the ladies from reception who everyday were checking on me if i need anything, all of them make me feel super safe and comfortable as solo traveler. Hotel itself is in a historical colonial villa with lots of ambiance of that times , it’s positioning just literally few steps from Calle Conde which is the main promenade of Zone Colonial with walking distance to monuments , shopping's , bars and restaurants and some night life . Even thought some of the rooms need little mekaup touch up which( I noticed this was happening during my stay) I fully recommending this place if you are visiting Santo Domingo.

The rooms are clean and the staff genuinely nice and friendly. Upon arrival you are asked to type a personal code to access the room so you have no hasle of the key. The staff helped with information about bus and transportation.

Beautiful place, great breakfast. I landed late and therefore checked in late and the desk person was nice despite being woken up when I arrived. There were two options for breakfast traditional Dominican and French. You got to program your own code to the room which made me feel safe. The room had a mini fridge with juice and water and a safe in the room. The door was also controlled with a code lock that they gave you a code to. The only thing that I didn’t like was the fact that a majority of their decoration was from IKEA and that the jacuzzi was cold. Cute bar, beautiful tile work, interesting lights and they used solar panels for electricity. Great place to stay when traveling solo with decent Wi-Fi. Perfect for instagram pictures.

I LOVED this place! The pool was fun, the hottub was nice, the roof patio adorable. The hot water is HOT🔥😁 The breakfast was fantastic. But the ALL STAR STAFF really made it something special!! They were so kind, helpful, fun, and really just a joy to be around! It's rare to find a hotel that you can't wait to go back to visit!🥰 Only two small things: A code is required to enter the hotel (this was something new to me) and the entrance doesn't quite look like one. I ended up walking around the block twice before reception answered and let me in. Also, some deeper cleaning could be done from time to time (there was some built up dust and such) but it was clean enough for me.

My friend & I loved staying at this hotel. It felt so homey & cozy, but the star of this hotel is the staff especially Rosario? who worked the front desk. She went above & beyond to make our stay warm & comfortable along with ordering us taxis & translating for us when we needed. We would go back to stay here just for her, honestly! The rooms are spacious & clean and we felt safe at all times. We cannot wait to go back to Santo Domingo to stay at this hotel again. Cannot recommend it enough!

After doing a lengthy research on which hotel to select for my vacation in Santo Domingo, I had selected this place. It seemed to have all that I was looking for. I called them the next business day since their website said if you book directly, you get a free upgrade. I couldn't even ask my question as we lost connection twice and then the third time I was hung up on. My guess is because the lady couldn't speak english. I then called back, got the first lady I spoke with and explained what had just happened to me and she laughed in my face and quickly tried to brush it under the rug. Not only that, I received an email after the last phone call stating how much my stay was with breakfast, which was much more than what the website said. Thank god I didn't give them my credit card information! I did not have the energy to explain their mistake. Extremely frustrated, I asked them to cancel my booking, which she said she couldn't do without her manager. That seemed very odd and suspicious to me. Luckily, there are many choices when it comes to lodging in Santo Domingo and you should always select a place where you're valued and taken well care of. I'll be staying elsewhere and recommend you to do the same. UPDATE: I just saw the hotel's response and it does not make sense at all. The woman I spoke with said they were having internet issues this morning, which is why the calls kept dropping. So, I'm sure I wasn't the only person having issues. And I was calling from a landline and they don't typically have connectivity issues. On top of everything, it was the laughing in my face that frustrated me; I see you did not address that. According to hotel's website, the room was available at the time of booking, so if it was sold out even though it said it wasn't, you should've reached out to me immediately so I could've made a decision. I had no idea until I called you. If I booked based on rates that I saw online at the time of booking, they should be honored but it does not sound like you operate this way. At any rate, I've already booked somewhere else, so no need for you to help me any further.

Convenient, charming old building now a renovated hotel with Very friendly staff ❤️ and reasonable rates. Unfortunately, no close parking, Swimming pool was closed, The freezer was flooded, Toilet basket not emptied, Shower drain blocked, Intermittent and slow wifi, limited view of an empty section full of rubbish from this standard double room.

The rooms are nice and clean and most of all simple. This is a small boutique hotel with perhaps nine rooms. You're in walking distance from the Conde but you will find tons of nightlife shopping and restaurants. Located on a well-lit street which feels really safe at night. During my visit I was served for breakfast of grapes and oranges as my fruit. I told the manager I hadn't traveled to the Caribbean for grapes and oranges. The next day I was served mango papaya and pineapple. It was a great day!

If you're staying in Santo Domingo this is the place to be! We visited recently and by accident we booked in for the wrong day. Regardless of our mistake the staff took us in and did everything they could to make us feel at home. they honored their part of the reservation and we have only been charged for what we agreed upon initially (we haven't been charged for the second room). Needlessly to say, we've been welcomed with shots on the house and very warm and professional attitude. Breakfast we simple but very nice. The rooms and the open area upstairs are very cozy! Shout-out to Jose and Karen for being understanding and sweet! Alessio

Horrible. The first room I was given had the hardest bed I have ever experienced. Fortunately, I was able to be moved to another smaller room, which was decent. Then, I drank spoiled juice at breakfast and was sick for the entire day. The staff refused to take the meal off of the bill. Side note: the TV went in and out the entire time as well.

Great stay, colorful, classy but casual. Has more amenities (medium size pool and a roof-top jacuzzi) + a variety of beautiful areas (little bar, open terrace, cama Balinesa!) than many other hotels in Zona Colonial. Reasonable fares, take cash and credit cards. Great service and full of little details that make the stay very memorable. Totally recommend for couples and one-guest escapes too.

Great experience! The staff is amazing, they are very professional and also nice. We were allowed to stay in a better room, do early check in, and leave our bags a few days earlier. The breakfast included is nice, and the infrastructure is beautiful. The location works for getting anywhere in the colonial zone by foot. The only thing I wish they'd change is the room decorations, they would look much nicer with a colonial style like the rest of the hotel.

We were a party of five, staying 3 nights in both the Mirabel and British suites. Everything was perfect and I can't wait to go back. What you see in the photos is what you get, as far as that goes. What you do not see in the photos is the exceptional level of friendly and helpful service. I highly recommend that you contact the activities coordinator, Nelsa, before your arrival, to arrange your stay and itinerary. She arranged for a rooftop BBQ on our first night, a special bottle of rum at the bar for my exclusive use, on premises serving of a lunch that was delivered and a private guide to show us around the Colonial Zone. She offered to do much more but I had already arranged for these things before arrival (e.g. taxi transfers and restaurant reservations). What you also do not see from the photos is the exceptional convenience of the location. Everything that you need is in easy walking distance. The relatively small number of adults-only guests adds to the pleasure; the premises remain relatively tranquil and it never feels crowded anywhere.

Great location in the old town. Friendly staff och great breakfast. The atmosphere is nice with boutique hotel feeling! The wifi was to weak in the room and at the roof top, but worked fine in the reception, ground floor and pool area.

Nice location close to city centre. Cozy cute pool colonial style. Room needs some working with quite outdated furniture and not good shower. Breakfast is ok, but missing great local fruit and a real natural juice, but need to refer a great croissant.

We LOVE this hotel! Free water in every room and throughout the hotel. A beautiful pool and remodeled rooms. Great rooftop social area. Multiple breakfast options with stay. Steps from the Conde. So many great things! Definitely worth paying more than a typical Dominican hotel.

This place is extremely unsafe and unorganized. I never received a key or key card but rather instructed to type a pin code. Needless to say it failed to take my own pin and was obligated to take a pin given by reception. I left the hotel and went shopping. Upon arrival I inadvertently put the code front the entrance door into my personal room and that code worked as well. I expressed my concerns. I was petrified because I was on the first floor. I would’ve been safer just keeping my front door opened. Too many sketchy characters around their property. I vacated the premises and went to the palacio boutique because at least I have a physical key.
