Incredible Japanese food. Was recommended by a friend and was shocked at the quality. Our favorites were: The Sea Bream Usuzukuri (Guatapanal in Spanish for the fish), the black pepper steak, the fois gras gyoza, and the Okazu fried rice. While not Dominican food, it's definitely worth the visit.

I had the chance to experienced many restaurants in the cities ok Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo. But really the Okazu restaurant can compete without any doubt with all of them. The elegance of the place, the quality of the product and the large choice of Sake make it as one of the most valuable Japanese restaurant in D.R. The service is also perfect. A great place for a great moment with friends !

Had the okazu (60 pieces) Great service and atmosphere. Fish is ok, but Samurai is much better. The wasabi is not fresh... At this price it makes no sense. Other people praise the food is comparable to Japan.. yeah to mediocre Japanese family restaurant. I will not return until they have fresh wasabi grounded from the root.

Be prepared to be blown away. From the minute you walk in the staff and manager greeted us. They were very attentive and very friendly. We sat down in a very comfortable half moon booth. We tasted so many delicious things I can’t express how confused my brain was. The sushi was fresh and the waygu beef was out of this world. You will love to be taken on a journey of Japan. I promise you will smile the whole way. The scallops were magnificent. So make sure to stop by this place. The gentleman who took care of us spoke 5 different and fluent languages. So don’t be shy if your from out of town. Make sure you go hungry. You will want to keep eating more. I would totally go out of my way to go here and can’t wait to go back.

The waygu ramen was a very interesting dish and the sushi rolls were very nicely done. Prices are fair for the food and service is good, but not great. Atmosphere is not excellent: we were sitting in the middle and you felt you were in an average food garden table.

Amazing experience. To start with the service it was flawless. The food was also a great surprise. So many different and interesting options that you want to try all of them. The restaurant itself is very elegant and cosy. I ordered a combo of sashimi. Very well elaborated, amazing presentation and great taste. Also a churros sandwich. Strongly recommend both.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Every dish that came out was better than the last. The flavor combinations are astounding. All the ingredients are of the highest quality, presented in beautifully prepared platings. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive.

Small quantities but really delicious. Can be an expensive dinner with wine and steaks, but superior quality.

This is a mid to high end place, is not cheap but it is worth it. Formal dressing is preferred but if you are going casual they have a terrace where you can be a little bit at ease. Is recommended that you make reservations but staff is accomodating when possible. Great service and perfect atmosphere.

Amongst the best Japanese fine dining in the city. The vibe you get once you walk in is exciting and energetic. There is so much creative foods to enjoy that it all depends on your palette for the evening. Great for an evening with friends and fun if it's on a date.

Kind of expensive, small portions, but soooo good, surprisingly creative, some new flavor combinations that we never experienced that were incredible...

This place is a must in Santo Domingo, the food is amazing, the music selection is top notch and the Japanese beers are 👌.

How was it? You would ask, well we started with the coldest white dressed beers you can find and some sake and then the food I'll try to remember everything we ordered. Edamame, sashimi atún, Crispy skin, wagyu beef sando, pulled duck foigrass miso taco (the highlight), shrimp Gyosa, mushroom Gyosa, guayu steak, fried rice and several sushi rolls too many yo recall. Gotta tell you good was incredible, everything cooked yo perfection, everything was a delight. Last time I ate there was Okra I think was named was good then was better now

So little time and so many options to order! I've already been there 3 times in less than a month. Definitely a must try!

Probably the best sushi spot in Santo Domingo. A fresh and always changing menu makes the experience even more unique. Sashimi is fresh. Unique plates for the island. Amazing and educated staff make this place why I come here. Pricey for sure but the quality is there with truly good technique. Saki is very good as well.

After dining at this establishment, I settled the bill using my credit card. Upon returning home, I was promptly alerted to several unauthorized online payment attempts on my card, none of which I initiated. It seems that the restaurant staff had covertly recorded my card details and CVV for illicit online transactions. Being a visitor, they likely presumed I wouldn't pursue legal recourse. In fact, I refrained from doing so since my bank effectively thwarted all these fraudulent transactions. Nevertheless, I vehemently discourage patronizing this restaurant due to their egregious lack of professional ethics and inadequate oversight of their personnel. Regrettably, I had even left a tip for the server, a decision I now rue.
