This is very subjective, but I don't want to support a place that keeps animals in cages (aquariums). There are dozens of caged birds around the homestay to create a jungle-like atmosphere, and the place seems to be connected to an aquarium/fish store. Regardless of the reason (breeding), for me, this is no different than keeping tigers, elephants or other animals in cages. This is the reason why I'm leaving one start.

Really nice place to stay in the centre of Sanur. You're close to the main street and the restaurants are just around the corner. Very nice garden with a lot of birds and their beautiful sounds what didn't disturb us. Also the swimming pool is very nice. We had breakfast included and got tea or coffee with a lot of fruit and bread. Very kind staff.

The rooms are arranged around the great garden with a nice, clean pool. Quiet but close to both the main street and the beach walk. Lots of birds that gently wake you up in the morning (or keep you from sleeping in - depending on your perspective). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with toast, fruit and either tea or coffee. Free Wifi with good reception even in the rooms.

Good welcoming. Good and fresh breakfast. Peaceful pool. Better take an air con room for a good sleep. It can be called the birds house. If you enjoy hearing birds singing this place is for you.

Good location in the centre close to many restaurants, the beach, shops etc. Yulia 1 is located away from the road so there is no noise. The swimmingpool is very nice and has some seats around. We had a room without air-conditioning but I would recommend getting one including aircon because it is just too hot. Breakfast is included and is basic but good (picture included)

Paid 200k for a fan room that had a double bed & bar fridge w bathroom. Clean pool set in a garden w birds in their cages. Healthy friut & toasct breakfast w pot of tea.

It was hard to believe how peaceful Yulia 1 is considering how busy the area is. The birds are amazing in the garden and you step into Zen in the yard. Every room has garden privacy with a really nice pool in the middle. We would definately stay there again. Very well priced for the location.

I had a fantastic time at Yulia 1. The pool and garden are beautiful. Very good location, 10 mins for the beach, 5 mins from the night markets. The staff are very friendly. The room was basic with a fan but did the job, comfortable and nice little spot to sit out the front. I very much enjoyed sitting by the pool.

The best place i have stayed. Amazing breakfast. Small swimming pool but it was like private bcs i was the only guest to swim. There are a lots of singing birds who are train to competition of song. Close to the beach, spa and restaurant. So quiet.

I love Yulia 1. Quiet with birdsong... close to the beach.. shopping and local night market for culinary delights. Friendly caring staff... gorgeous garden tropical feel. Comfortable for sure. Enjoy!

Over 40 competition song birds and loads of fish. All of the staff are super friendly. English is spoken well by staff. Wonderfully secluded rooms. Walking distance to the beach.

Very close to the harbour which is why I selected it. I did not enjoy all the birds in cages. It was a bit sad.. but everything else was fine.

Great place to stay, awesome vibe, nice pool, cool birds and plenty of great food and markets within walking distance.

The place is ok, sadly the keep many birds in cages, is very sad to look at, so for those who love animals I will not recommend it
