I purchased a pair of sunglasses for 299 Reais and the next day I went to get a refund as the pair was almost 70% more expensive than in the US(43 USD) with more colours and designs available. Apparently, purchased items cannot be returned for a refund even with receipt but only be exchanged. I also found out that I have been charged for 20 reais more for a different pair of flipflops instead the one I purchased. Although there was an error on their part, there was absolutely no apology but a look of complete annoyance when I asked to change the colour of the sunglasses. I had bought the pair that was on display and the cashier examined it thoroughly to ensure that there were no damages with a look of disapproval. Then, the store manager called the salesperson who was not in the store at the time to verify if she recalled what she had sold to a “Japanese looking person” and to inquire why the error has been made. After a long phone call, she looked into the computer for awhile and passed me a bill of 20 reais without an apology. This occurred as their checkout cashier system is poorly designed. Instead of scanning the products at the counter, each sales person writes an invoice with the sticker and writes some kind of model numbers. I have seen customers walk out of the store as the wait was unnecessarily too long. The long queues can be avoided if they were to improve the system. I am a fan of their products as I own several pairs of Havaianas and bought more as gifts. There are helpful staffs but I would definitely not shop at this location again.

Notice that every Havaianas shop has always different product assortments. Apart from that you can ask for foot size conversion assistance. For some extra money they can put some nice pins in your sandals
