I've never been discriminated against as a tourist in Japan - this would be my first time. We were lured in by the favourable reviews and deliciously displayed yakitori grill at the storefront. An older lady seated us at the bar. Noticing that we were not locals, she tossed English menus onto the bar counter. We placed our orders with relative ease but the lady kept communication with us to a minimum. Meanwhile, she served other customers gleefully. We received our first order of yakitori when I noticed we had not received our towels or tea. Customers at other tables all had towels so I asked if there were towels (すみません、タオエルありますか?). She nodded. We watched as she walked to a previous party's table, picked up two towels, walked back to the bar, rolled them up, and then offer the same towels to us by placing them on the bar counter. Puzzled by this, we watched as another table of locals were seated. They each received a set of chopsticks with paper stands and fresh towels in plastic bags. The preferential treatment was an overt display of discrimination and it made us sick. Don't come here if you look Chinese (we're Chinese-Canadian) or if you want a smoke-free dining experience.

Japanese tavern style shop + grilled skewers In a very small shop Suitable for groups of no more than 4 people and not suitable for bringing luggage. Because the shop is really small In the shop you can smoke. The menu is only in Japanese. Anyone who wants to enjoy the atmosphere, I recommend it. The food is normal price. Not too expensive

Kinda sad with the result...the food was just okay. And careful there's a hidden cost of ¥330 per person. For a 2 spoonful of soup..super ridiculous! Sneaky people for sure! BEWARE!

Shame for lying about it is full. A racist restaurant The restaurant was half occupied. Many tables and seats were empty. I was attracted by their smell of chargrilled meat out on the street from their kitchen. I asked for availability for one person myself. A heavy guy who looked like the boss said by reservation only, not available. disappointed,I left the restaurant but then naive enough trying to get a card to make reservation next time. 2 young staff said no card. But I saw their card holder near the door with a stack restaurant business cards. a lady then said no it is full and holiday tomorrow. How about the day after and next week. She replied no it’s fullu. Whole year fullu. Only then I realised it was a racist restaurant Shocked that such a racist restaurant still exists. there was much bad attitude towards polite and well mannered foreign customers. She obviously lied about the restaurant was full. Not sure what bad experience they had with foreign or non japanese speaking customers but could have been brave to admit japanese only and politely refrained from admitting them. Don’t lie. Be brave to admiring who you really are. japan is a place of freedom? Don’t lie it’s full and save both time.

taste is good. But I think they are little bit rude for foreign customers. I ordered my food using unskilled japanese. I think they didn't want us cause maybe we don't speak their language or etc..i don't know. anyway, the total price is too imprecise. but they didn't want to talk about that. I like japan and i think hokkaido is so addorable but your restaurant's manner is disappointing. i don't want to recommend this restaurant for foreign.

(Translated by Google) The worst store in the top 3 of all time. When you enter the store, the first item you ordered does not come, and if the regulars come in later, the regulars who ordered the same item earlier than the one you ordered earlier will be served first. Isn't the product out at the time of accounting at the end? As a restaurant, you will be asked for items that clearly do not have a check mark on the slip, and it is the minimum to put out items! That's the worst store. Of course, it's a shop that doesn't apologize.

Said they were full, tried to book another slot for tomorrow apparently fully booked forever. Then realised they were just racist against tourists.

(Translated by Google) A long-established yakitori restaurant. I've been interested in it since my predecessor, who was wearing a Y-shirt and tie at the grill. Since I visited a little after 17:00, there were still few customers and the ordered items came out smoothly. By the time around 18:00, it was almost full, including a single female customer. In that case, the order started to fall behind, so I think that those who are in a hurry need to be careful. The customer service is not particularly worrisome, and each skewer is large and delicious. It's a crowded shop, but if you want to take your time and read a book while eating and drinking, this is a recommended yakitori restaurant. So I think that it is unsuitable for a single customer who wants to be bothered.
