Delicious Bureks. The girls at the restaurant are friendly and one of them speaks English too. We tried all their Burek’s beef potato and spinach all were super tasty. They serve with a huge topping of cheese sauce. Very very reasonable prices. They have limited indoor seating and ample outdoor tables. Must try in old town Sarajevo

I was going crazy with this Boreks. Omg they are so delicious. Portions are really big, taste amazing. We had potatoes, spinach and meat pie, all of them was so good. Inside seating is not really big but there is outside seating also. Prices are cheap. I recommend everybody!

We tested several Burek in Sarajevo, Sac is the most famous one and in my opinion the best. Dough is very crispy, while the meat inside very soft. Price is quite cheap.

Buregdzinica Sac bakes its huge, round, coiled bureks traditionally under a metal lid covered with coals. The bureks came in several different varieties, but I tried the spinach and cheese, which was unceremoniously cut up, weighed, and dished onto a metal plate to be consumed. The burek had a slightly crispy exterior and doughy, chewy interior, and the spinach and cheese filling had the right balance of tangy and earthy flavors. I also tried the chicken burek, which had a lean ground chicken filling and a rather dry dough, but it went nicely with a dollop of sour cream on top. Though not the best bureks I’ve had, these made for a cheap and tasty bite, served among locals in the bustling old town of Sarajevo.

Best burek I ever had in my life. I ate lot of bureks in different places of the world, but for me this is so deliciously melting in the mouth and so different.

I went to this place for a branch and it was recommended by a local people. I have ordered Burke with beef and the taste was normal and I would say this place is OVERRATED and I guess there is other places are better than this place. Overall rating: 7/10 Not recommended

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sač restaurant and I must say, it was an absolute delight. We decided to try the three different burek options available - lamb, potato, and cheese/spinach. To say that we were blown away would be an understatement. The staff was incredibly efficient and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in. Our orders were taken promptly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. I can confidently say that the bureks at Sač are the best I have ever had. The flavors were exceptional, the pastry was flaky, and the fillings were expertly crafted. Combine that with the efficient and friendly service, and you have a dining experience worth repeating. If you're a fan of bureks or simply looking to try something new, I highly recommend visiting Sač restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

I must admit that the börek here is the best I have ever eaten. Soft and full of amazing spices it really surprised me. The prices are very good for the quality you get. It was not so crowded when I went there and the clients were mostly locals but also some tourists. I didn’t like that I have ordered an ayran and I got it warmer than the room temperature (even if he took it out of the fridge). I asked for a colder one but I got a bit of attitude from the person serving me while telling me that all are warm.

BEST BUREG IN SARAJEVO, of the ones I’ve tried so far. They have 4 options for flavors being potato, cheese, meat and spinach which are all as delicious as it gets in Bosnia. The dishes are served on the silver platters that it traditionally is from it’s ottoman past. And to top it all of, the sour cream yogurt that adds yet another layer of rich taste, making it unforgettable as a dish for tourists AND locals, regardless of nationality. Amazingly nice and fast service, the waiters were welcoming and communicative. We came to this place twice in 2 days, let alone my previous visits from 5 years ago, still preserved taste and committed service for customers all around the world, don’t hesitate to give it a go.

We visited two times. The first time (Oct 7 @ 8pm) was a revelation: a burek that tasted completely unlike anything I've tried in Belgrade. Perfect amount of salt and meat, hot, easy to chew, and so tender it almost melts in your mouth. It was absolutely perfect, and I loved it. The second time was on Oct 10 @ 7pm. It was a mediocre experience. Somewhat less meat, difficult to chew and very dry. My wife wasn't able to chew through the dough. Didn't finish. It's like these two bureks are completely unrelated, but it was the same place with only 3 days of difference. What gives? 🤔

For my taste this is definitely one of the best burek / pies I’ve had. I chose the meat version. The pastry was flakey, there was a decent amount of meat compared to others I’ve had. There was crunch, there was a slight doughiness and the seasoning was on point. The staff were amazing. Even letting me come into the kitchen. I’ll definitely be back here as well as trying some of the other bakeries. The bar has definitely been raised.

FOOD: The burek is delicious. No doubt about that. It’s not the best I’ve come across traveling for 1 month in the Balkans, but it’s definitely worth a try. Comes in 4 flavours; cheese, cheese & spinach, meat, potatoes. We tried the cheese & spinach because they ran out of meat and it was really nice. You can add yogurt on the side as you like. PRICE: 5KM per portion equivalent to €2.5 at todays current rate. They will weigh the burek with an old scale in front of you but it was so busy we didn’t understand how much each portion was suppose to be. And we didn’t question this. SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE: I put this section together as it is interchangeable in my option. A few things that was notable and can be improved: -the building has one small entrance, albeit it’s an old building and they want to keep the traditions, having all the comings and goings through this one entrance contributed to the chaotic atmosphere. -the waiters/busboys cleaning/serving the outdoor seating area came in and out of this entrance also. The customer line was overflowing to the alleyway from this entrance, and they were all bumping into each other. -the 1 lady taking the orders, cutting and weighing the burek also calculated and received payments. Cash only! Don’t even try with the credit cards 😂 a customer in front of us was disappointed to find he wasn’t allowed to pay with card. - at some point, the paper wrapping fell all over the floor and that was not-so-discretely placed back on top of the others left on the counter. 😅 oh well, it will add to the flavour. -the service staff were friendly in their own way once the lunch rush subsided. Overall, it’s a must visit in Sarajevo. It just needs to improve on its work-flow and systems.

Its a very nice place, the food is good. We liked the burek with cheese more. We were just disappointed that the menu did not have much content. There was no much drink choice, no tee no kaffee no softdrinks! We were there for a breakfast and there was nothing to drink.

It's a little bit hidden away down towards the edge of the old town, but it is really worth finding it. Bustling atmosphere, staff very friendly, and most importantly it was probably some of the best burek I had while in Bosnia.

Probably the best Burek of the city. For only 4 euros you can have a good piece. It is not really a restaurant, it is more a take away place.

A restaurant located in a narrow street. I went to eat lunch and it was a long line to wait. Either you wait for someone to finish a table and sit down and ask the waiter, or you stand in a line and then go looking for a table for you. I ordered 3 cheese pies because it is the only pie left if we want meat pie Or potatoes each, priced at 5 marks per pie, 500 grams, delicious and worth the wait

Place is small. Taste was really good. Ordered spinach, meat and cheese burek. Both three of them were really tasty. Recommended place to go when you are in Sarajevo, it’s in my top 2 burek places

It was delicious, but the look of the burek was a bit “slapped”. We tasted a burek a few blocks far and I liked it more. The skin was more crispy there. Maybe that is my preference.

Literally the best buregdzinica in Sarajevo (and I’ve tried a few), don’t miss the chicken one… Special mention to Maya with her beautiful and contagious smile, even if in rush hours, she indeed gives life to the place!

Yummy Burek! We tasted the chiz n spinach, plain chiz, potato, and meat, topped with yogurt. I love the plain chiz only. Don't forget to order the Ayran. It's perfect kombi! Friendly staff and good location. Always full, but we always end up finding a place. The turn-over of guests was quite fast.

The best Burke I have tried in Sarajevo. They have lots of options like spinach, cheese, pumpkin and of course meat. My favorite is the chicken one. I can eat it everyday. It’s so good. Pumpkin is good too. I love that they aren’t too salty like some places. I also love that they aren’t too oily which is great. Strongly recommend coming here if you want some delicious and well priced burek. Service is great and fast too!

Very tasty burek and not expensive. Prices are listed by kilogram, so your portion will be cheaper than the listed price. Fyi, go inside to order, don't sit outside and wait for somebody to serve you

Great burek! Value for money is insane. 9km for two bureks(!!!) the one with meat is the best!

This Bureg house, special Bosnian pastry, is one of the best in the downtown. There are generally three different options. Minced beef, cheese and potato are the main ingredients. In this Burek house, they cook it in the traditional way which is inside charcoal oven in big plates. You can also have some yoghurt on Bureg depending on your preference. I recommend you to try this place.

DELICIOUS. Stuff: Lovely. Food: Heavenly. Price: worth it. If you miss this spot - you missed Sarajevo. Best Burek I have ever tried.

FABULOUS - we were recommended to come here for burek (a meat-filled flaky pastry, traditionally rolled in a spiral and cut into sections for serving) and we ordered a single portion between two of us (just the right amount), a couple of drinks and this came to less than €5. The food came so quickly - beats any western fast-food joint and so tasty. The staff were quick and efficient and I definitely recommend eating burek here (with the traditional yoghurt drink to go with it).

Our friend who lived in Sarajevo for years tuck us to this place, with the assurance, that this is the best place to get the best burek in town. And she was right. All the variation are prepared in the traditional way on coal, what gives them an unique taste. Go and try all the different variations. With meat, cheese, potatoes and so on. Suitable as a snack, or a main dish of a evening or day. Dont forget to ortder buttermilk with it.

Best burek and yogurt/kefir drinks in glass! So good we had them twice during our 2 day stay. The burek is so fresh and pastry is flakey and crispy at the same time. We had the spinach and potatoes burek which were a great combination (moist spinach and nicely flavoured potatoes)

This place is on the highly recommended places and it is worth all the praises. The place is busy and you generally eat fast and leave. Not a place for long chats. I wish they offered tea with burek but no. You can choose meat-free alternatives if you don’t eat meat. (Potato, cheese, spinach and maybe pumpkin)

👍👍 Visited here in November, 2018. A staff in the hostel I stayed for a few days in Sarajevo recommended this restaurant to me, so I tried this nice place.
