An amazing church that has been recently refurbished to its glory. The details from ceiling to the floor are incredible. The main altar shows colourful angels and other holy images on the wall makes the white stature of St Joseph to stands out in front of the mural. A place to rest, pray, admire and relax your mind, no matter your religion.

Big church in downtown of Belo horizonte. Is a Oasis in the middle of the crazy traffic, safe place to rest and pray. Better now that they bring back the old external painting. Is always open and you can't missed go inside and the gorgeous painting.

Hands down the most beautiful Catholic church in the entire city! And it’s located right in the heart of downtown Belo Horizonte too.

Built in a "Bizantine Style", St Joseph church is quite unique. This is so because the majority of churches in Minas Gerais are either in a baroque, neo-classic or neo-gothic style. What a pleasure it was to return to Belo Horizonte and visit St Joseph Church (Igreja São José). The restoration work that was carried out in the past few years is of excellent quality, so the result is quite stunning. It doesn't matter if you are not catholic, or a religious person, the beauty, the ambience will take you into another sphere - peace, contentment and a feeling of brotherhood/sisterhood with Humanity.

Just as any church, a lot of homeless and poor all around. They have money to restore the building but not to help those poor im front.

This is quite a nice and well maintained church . Well worth a visit
