Not the best buffet in saskatoon and to me was a bit pricey. There was not enough food type when I was there. The saslad does not smell good

Great experience visiting this "All you can eat" buffet restaurant. The food was awesome. My favorite dishes were: The Fried chicken, fried shrimp, perogies, and chinese style pork. Sushi was great too, and a good variety of salad and desert was available as well. I highly recommend this place.

The food is okay when you need a quick meal. Seemed clean. Bright. Their donuts are like a cream puff without the cream. Nice and fresh today. A large variety of food and desserts. And a 3 choice ice cream machine. And slushy machine, if you like that. The restroom is modern. The booth was comfortable. My husband did not like the loud Christmas music.

Enjoyed catchup over lunch with 9 friends. Good selection of food including freshly made sushi and shrimp salad rolls ( yum) i normally am not a buffet fan but this was very good. We sat and chatted after lunch and did not feel pressured to leave.

Fresh rolls and sushi 🍣 😋 mmmm great flavors! I recommend 👌 Chicken fingers & battered shrimp were great, not too much breading and cooked to perfection. Salads were great, and the dessert, lemon pie, and rice pudding 🍮 😋 omg all was tasty! I recommend going to smileys ☺️ good service. I just wish we hadn't been directed to sit by the employee dish station.

Did their Sunday nigjt buffet while one a business trip. Was recommended from a business associate that lives in Saskatoon. Prime rib was great and their rice pudding is really good too. Very friendly staff. High ceilings in the dining area adds to the atmosphere. Will come again next time we go through Saskatoon.

Friday is the seafood buffet works fine if you are looking for a halal food. They have a very delicious shrimp and mussels. Their ice cream used ti be creamy and very rich but about 2 months ago almost it has changed to a very poor one .

We were invited here for a private event, and you can't go to a buffet expecting award winning food, so as far as buffet goes, it was alright. It was fresh and tasted good. And it was prepared well enough. Staff was really great. Very present, considerate and polite.

Smiley's has been voted the best buffet in town in years past. Today the value does not justify the price they charge. The food is fine, it's just disappointing. $28 a plate for a buffet filled with cheap carbohydrates and an assortment of mediocre western and Chinese dishes. For the same price you might as well get a 4 person dinner from a local Chinese takeout. More food and nice variety for the same price with many of the dishes being offered in their buffet. The value sucks.

I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of their buffet as compared to typical Asian buffets I have been to. Not only were there lovely Asian dishes but there were also Vietnamese rolls, Ukrainian borscht, pierogis, coconut buns, tarts, North American breakfast, salads, and desserts. Highly recommended!!

Food was great, customer service was the exact opposite. The waiters minus the one with blue box braids, were awful. Aimlessly wandering around the dining areas, not taking plates or giving out drink refills. After waiting for 10 minutes I got up and asked if I could grab myself some water or if they would have to bring it out. I was told "what do you think, get it yourself" and I went and got my own drink, not a big deal but it's the fact that this employee thought it was okay to disrespect me. They weren't doing their jobs that they're paid to do. Instead they stood around in the staff area playing on their phones and ignoring customers. Funnily enough, they didn't start doing actual work till the manager came down and did his rounds. Keep up the good work kids😂

Went to Smiley's yesterday for the first time. My friend and I were not informed that drinks were included so we got water. Had we known this, we could have got a pop. It would be helpful for wait staff to mention this. Also, the total is apparently $22.50 but we got charged around $28 each. There's no way taxes are that much. Won't be coming here again, we both felt ripped off.

Just had supper here with a friend. Haven’t been to this buffet in a long time but it used to be my favourite as a kid so I was excited. When we got there the staff was okay but they were all very young and didn’t really say much. Very quiet and shy. What disappointed me the most was the food options had significantly gone down. Most of the things they did have was bland or stale. The ice cream was the best part and that’s just a machine lmao. Not the smilies I remember and definitely not worth the 30.00$. You’re better off going to Great Buffet of China.

I’m amazed that this place averages 4 stars when for 2 people to sit down and eat it costs you almost $70 for food that was straight gross. Was in this restaurant for a total of 10 minutes, had about 7 different things on my plate. Every single one of them was dry, absolutely covered in salt, and lacking any other flavour. Even more stunned the waiter took the plate with 1 bite of out of everything, and didn’t ask if something was wrong. Horrible experience for $70. Next time I’ll spend $20 more and have meal at the keg. Absolutely disappointed

The fried chicken is pretty good for a buffet and the staff is very nice but most of the food is pretty bad, chicken balls are like boxed chicken nuggets and the spring rolls shells are very tough and don't seem edible. All that being said it is a buffet so thats to be expected just a bit expensive for what you get if you don't plan on eating 3 or more plates and desert. Not for me, but may be good for a very hungry person looking for fried chicken.

Had the annual bowling wind up. The buffet is very good, lots to choose from. I'm on keto so it was fish and stiry fry vegetables for me. I was happy as everyone else. Back again next year.

There is nothing wrong with it. Some food is really good and other things are meh. I'm pretty sure I don't eat enough to justify going very often. Went with my mom, who really likes it there.

Very decent buffet with lots of variety. One highlight was the sushi bar, and another was the excellent chicken balls that had hardly any batter and all chicken. Didn't offer and bbq pork or ginger/szechuan beef, but there were steaks. Service was quick to clear plates and overall, a very good buffet. Will come back again.

Lunch was great. The atmosphere was great to carry conversation, food was tastey and the sushi hit the spot as well. Finished off with soft serve ice cream that was rich and creamy! Recommend if you want to go all out with lots of options. Oh the coconut buns were delicious as well!

Absolutely disgusting- there were one or two items that were ok- the steamed fish and the ice cream! Wonton soup literally dissolved in my mouth I was nearly sick, chicken was dry, skillet was so oily, sushi was chewy and the fresh rolls had no flavour whatsoever. Had to go hunting and asking for another fork- staff looked miserable- was waiting on water for ages- had to ask. I would avoid at all costs- I’ll never step back in there.

I’m pretty easy going if theirs fried chicken and their is here, it’s good enough for buffet, a lot of the food is not crispy when it should be, too much batter and soggy, the wonton soup is - just don’t get it. Salad bar was pretty fresh but the melon assortment wasn’t ripe. Found some things quite salty.

Always has been a good place to eat. I would like to know when their food became so expensive. It's a buffet but really $30 per person. That's ridiculous. Looks like I will be going elsewhere from now on. I can't in all good conscience recommend them anymore. Way too expensive and their buffet isn't that great

I loved it, there's so many foods! It is by far my most favorite restaurant!! I love it and it's unique. I also love the name Smileys! I would always love to come here! 9.8/10! I would definitely recommend! 😁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was here for a banquet... the food was good, everything to expect from a buffet. Like any buffet, parents just need to control their little ones. Manager was nice, and a overall pleasure.

When I was 10 yrs old I was allowed overnight in a local cafe as my dad painted the place. Mr. Chan, the owner, said I could have anything I wanted. Smileys Buffet is like that. Anything you want is here. It's great! An adult dream.

This place is outstanding! The price is well worth it! The variety of foods and the flavours involved in every bite! Oh and the service is definitely top quality! This is by far my favourite buffet in all of Saskatchewan and I travel to almost every place in Saskatchewan often. Defiantly make a consideration to try this place!

Great food but if u go late it starts to get cold and bad and they don't always fill if certain ones run out. Go during busy hours for fresh food

Amazing and eclectic arrangement of different foods and meals all in one room. Wide range of desserts, fresh sushi, and drinks. Pricey but well worth the price for the experience and amount of different foods you can get
