Long wait of 1 hour 45 minutes but easy to kill time since it is next to river street. She crab soup is good and some credits to the bread, rich flavour in curry. Good prawn risotto since the prawns are VERY fresh, but for those don’t like cheese don’t try it since the rice is quite creamy. Steamed clams are slight light in flavour but again quite fresh. The best is the Japanese mushroom salad, great taste and also refreshing. Recommended for date nights.

Excellent food even late in the day. Not the hugest fan of the sauce on the lobster tail but the other stuff is really excellent. Started with the charcuterie board which was delicious and then went on to the bass. The Chilean sea bass is excellent - apparently the most popular menu item. The scallops were great too. The service was top notch.. wonderful choice in Savannah.

The oysters were just ok at 3 dollars a piece, they were fresh but not the best I have had. Some of them were really small. The curry mussels were really good! They had a great flavor and were cooked perfectly. I wished we had more bread to eat with the curry. The atmosphere was also good, it had a very nice vibe. The curry mussels were definitely a standout dish!

Great place for a great meal. Setting, staff and service were outstanding. Nice background music. The place got very busy at 6:00pm with people waiting outside. I had a great Stripped bass and my wife and my sister share 3 appetizers….shrimp, spring vegetable rolls and a cheese “cutting board”. With beer and wine all were full and satisfied. Parking could be challenging with construction near by, but the short walk to street parking is very nice.

The meal was absolutely fantastic. The wait staff are superb 👏. So friendly, helpful and professional. I thought the waitress may be guiding me to simply high ticket items, but no. That sea bass is one of the finest meals I've had. She-crab soup should also not be missed.

Freaking fantastic! First timer. Our server Sean was awesome, made great recommendations and was extremely familiar with the menu. Ambiance was excellent. Food was super flavorful. I had grouper with crab topped in red curry sauce😋😋My hubby had the seared ahi tuna he said it was excellent!! Blood orange martini perfect for a non drinker like myself. If ever in Savannah again I would revisit for sure. Parked on the street; after 8 no cost to park on weekends. Our check was $140 with tip.

Food was good but not the best in the world. The vibe and feel is like it’s try too hard to be nice. The mussels were really good! It doesn’t come with enough bread IMO. If you ask for more bread they bring you the appetizer which is $8/9 kind of a scam IMO they should give the bread for free. I would recommend taking the broth home and just enjoying it with bread at home. Staff was kind and attentive.

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere with very attentive staff, service and drinks were excellent. The food was delicious, though the texture of the fat on the marinated duck was a bit more akin to Rubber… but still absolutely brilliant! Easy to overlook with such great quality and flavor!!

1st off .. our waitress Kalona B was amazing! Very attentive to our needs, she was great at explaining menu items to us. My husband and I wanted to share two different entrees and she helped us decide what to get. She told us the shrimp appetizer was good and boy was she right! The appetizer, the entree and the drinks were perfect. Beautiful atmosphere. It's pricier than what I normally pay for food but it was worth it because everything was so good! Definitely will be back to try other things on the menu

Whoever is the chef, knows what they're doing. Excellent menu and beautifully executed meals. Our waiter was excellent, but let down by less than timely support from the bar. Maitre D could be a little more friendly and welcoming.

We detoured off I-95 into Savannah for a quick lunch and on the internet this place seemed alright. Little did we know we would get caught up in the construction issues outside the door... The lunch menu is small and pricey but good and tasty.

The restaurant is located on a cute street, there was some construction going on but I’m glad we went in. I’m very picky and have to have no gluten and dairy options, and it was plenty . Beautiful interior and food was great. This salmon was probably the best I’ve ever had, delicious, juicy, salad was fresh , organic. My husband had a chicken and he said it was delicious as well.I’m really picky if it comes to food but this restaurant is really amazing.fair prices ,great stuff ! Must if you’re in Savannah !highly recommend .

I recently dined at Chive and was blown away by the exceptional experience. The appetizers were sensational, offering a diverse range of flavors that delighted my taste buds. The cocktails were refreshing and expertly crafted. The service was outstanding, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that made us feel like valued guests. Big shout out to Sebastian, Tun and Darzan. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured our glasses were always full. The entrees were simply amazing. The seafood was cooked to perfection, with each dish showcasing the chef's expertise and passion. Mussels and She Crab soup where on another level Overall, Chive is a must-visit for seafood lovers. With its excellent appetizers, refreshing cocktails, friendly service, and outstanding entrees, it guarantees an unforgettable dining experience.

Angel provided great service. The food was delicious. Inside is cozy and comfortable, unfortunately it was a bit chilly tonight outside with our pup but he loved the attention from all the passers by.

Husband and I had a wonderful experience here at the Chive bar tonight. The atmosphere was so laid back and chill. We were celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary ❤ I had the lamb chops with sauteed spinach the lamb chops were cooked to perfection and hubby had the blue crab stuffed jumbo chicken wing with a cucumber and carrot salad. The cocktails were really good.I would like to give a special thanks to our server Shawn who made our night extra special🙂 he was on point all night and so pleasant. Shawn was very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. He made us smile all night, he recommended a cheese cake that was out of this world. Thanks Shawn we really enjoyed our meal and your service was outstanding. I highly recommend this establishment

I''ve dined here a couple of times now - and this restaurant has not failed me. Impeccable service and outstanding food choices. I had lunch today, and enjoyed the Pan Seared Snapper Risotto ($18) which was topped with a red curry drizzle. Simply .... yum. Time was limited for me today, but so many other good choices here. Excited to return for lunch again this week, and maybe even dinner at the weekend with friends, because I know they too will enjoy this.

Chive is definitely one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Savannah and has been for years. The food and service is consistently excellent, and the ambiance is top notch! It's a must every trip. My favorite is definitely the prawn risotto. The she-crab soup is in my top 3 best I've ever had. Other delicious items are the mussells and scallops. They don't take reservations so you're absolutely taking a chance at getting a seat. It's first come, first serve. You will not be disappointed. I can guarantee.

The she crab soup was very rich and tasty. Mango walnut salad and sea scallops were wonderful. Service was attentive and very quick. You will enjoy your dinner here!

I went to this place last Tuesday by myself to have a quick dinner. I sat at the bar since they were a bit full around 6 p.m. (I didn't have a reservation). I love the atmosphere of the place. It's clean and chill. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and very accommodating, making me feel like I was hanging out with my friends. I had tuna ceviche for my appetizer and grouper with crab cake for my entree from their specials. Both were flavorful and fantastic! Love the presentation as well! I loved the Banana Boat cocktail too. It was smooth and relaxing drink. Everything was just lovely, from the service to the food.

We tried coming here on a Saturday and the wait was over a hour, it would be nice if they took reservations but they don’t so we left. We came back on Sunday because most of the restaurants we wanted to try were closed on Sunday. The food was good but…3 drinks, 1appetizer and 2 entrees was $160+ before tip, which is EXTREMELY over priced for what we got. The wait staff went to several tables including ours with the wrong food, one couple was there well before us and we got our food before them because they lost their order. If we come back to Savannah I would find something else.

One of the best dishes in Savannah. If you are here you have to try the mussels! OMG. The tuna says ceviche but it really is tartar but it is one of the best tartars I've ever had!

Fantastic experience..... phenomenal food and drinks.... this restaurant will continue to be on my radar.... decided to sit at the bar... friendly and knowledgeable bartenders.... pricey but worth it..... beverages, appetizers, main course, and dessert were equally flavorful.... must try!

This restaurant was reccommedned to me a while back by a friend, so i decided to take my girlfriend here for our anniversary. We had to wait an hour to get seated because the place was so full also its small inside. The decor is nice and elegant. However the food was mediocre, menu was very limited. Overall, I'll give it a grade of 6/10 with (10 being the highest).

Flounder and crab dish was sublime. First piece of fish I’ve had here that was not soggy and sad. Dessert was pretty good. Wait staff was a bit pushy, didn’t even give me the chance to look at the menu before asking me to order and then abandoned me for the longest time when I said I wasn’t ready. Just felt like they wanted me to be quick and clear out. Food was good, and I think I rolled a 2 on the waiter, so I’ll still give it 4 stars.

I came for the She Crab Soup, and was not disappointed! The deliciousness of everything else we ordered was a bonus. The stuffed chicken wing was unexpected -- the filling was rich and flavorful. The salad was fresh with large shrimp. The drinks were good, and pretty - take heed to the bartender recs...would certainly recommend for lunch, happy hour or dinner when in Savannah.

Yum! We enjoyed the Asian, southern seafood twist. Highlights include the red curry sauce (which I got a side of just for dipping bread) and the inventive cocktails. Scallops were excellent and menu is set up in a way to ensure people can pick the entree and side which they want. Service was attentive, decor was swanky, and all around vibe was good. Would definitely go back

One of my favorite places for an intimate, relaxing experience with a nice atmosphere and setting. Our server, Donovan, was awesome! He was very knowledgeable of the drinks and food. I highly recommend starting with the Grilled Octopus Ping. It will blow your mind!

Overall a great experience. Wonderful staff and a cool, comfortable environment to enjoy a nice meal in. Not super dressy, but other guest’s attires ranged from shorts and a nicer shirt to suit jackets and somewhat fancy dress for the ladies. Our meals were well done with nice presentation. I would give our meals and drinks both an 8/10 for the price points. Would certainly go back and try some other dishes next time.

Very good seafood restaurant in Savannah! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service is great. I had the fried shrimp appetizer, which was fresh and well seasoned. For dinner I had the crab cake with fried green tomatoes. The crab cake had more crab than breading, which is what I prefer. Both were delicious, and I will return next time I’m in town.
