This is a bar run by people who love what they do. The bartender was hugely knowledgable about everything in the place - and that's a long list. We spent several hours here trying different drinks, talking food and drink with the bartender and cook, and generally having a good conversation. The bartender even tried his hand at a drink one of our party suggested, with good results. My only regret was that I couldn't stay for several more hours.

Alley Cat Lounge is a delightful spot tucked down a lane! The entrance is unassuming so you may be unsure if you're in the right spot, but you are and you HAVE to go down the stairs into the cozy basement lounge. The craft cocktails are immaculately prepared and their flavors are masterly combined. Another plus is definitely the staff, if you have any questions or are feeling overwhelmed with the numerous cocktail options, their friendly server and bartenders are happy to help. This is a must see spot here in Savannah!

Definitely worth the visit! I loved that the bartenders were knowledgeable enough to craft something personalized. Service took quite some time (I think they would benefit from having an additional bartender). We went on a Tuesday and we still waited a long time for our drinks. I love that the menu is on a newspaper and the atmosphere was awesome. If you go, ask for the Antidote cocktail. The drink was absolutely delicious and perfectly spicy as they make their own ginger syrup. Will definitely return when I am back in Savannah.

I love a good cocktail. I love sitting at the bar and chatting with the bartenders, asking them to create something on the fly for me. My guest likes anything fun and silly and tropical. Alley Cat did all these things and more. I know to go to new places on Wednesday nights. It's the best night to get a chance to sit at the bar when they are not going to be that busy. Drinks were perfect. Conversation was fun. Vibe is cool. Will be back

Found this by accident as we couldn’t get into another speakeasy with strict dress code. Alley Cat is not pretentious but don’t let that dissuade you. It’s a basement lounge with a cool vibe, inventive and extensive cocktail list, creative menu, and great service. Will definitely come back again!

So glad we found this place. The place was so charming. Our server was very friendly and delightful. We tasted several different kinds of drinks and we must say we liked them all. Our server was very helpful with recommendations and very patient. The menu was very creative as it looked like a newspaper.

Very cool bar, tucked away in an alley but no concerns about safety. The servers were friendly and attentive, the bartenders were knowledgeable about their variety of bourbon. Good drinks , a place to come back to every time we are in town. Just enjoyed the vibe. If you aren't sure about the liquor drinks, have a local beer while you decide. It is limited in size but that just adds to the concept and feel of the place. Didn't try the food, just drinks, a very good old fashioned and relaxed. Don't over look this place.

Enter in from the alleyway (hence the name) and head down the the stairs into a great, albeit, off the path a little, cocktail bar! Savannah has some amazing basement establishments, and I would absolutely add this to the list if you are wandering around the district. Tyler, our bartender, was excellent. Easy going, super informative, and he makes a hell of a cocktail as well! I started with the Dirty Cop and moved on to an Old Fashioned, both were made perfectly! My wife enjoyed the Firing Squad, also delicious! Check out the Alley Cat, even if just for a drink.

Cool place to have a date at, however we did not like the drink we had. What was worse than the drink though was our waitress. She was looking at us in a super judgy way and simply was not friendly. I am no-one who likes that fake overfriendliness, but she made us feel straight up uncomfortable. I would not come back knowing she still works there.

Service: Inept and Terrible. Server was devoid of personality or any charm. Short, rude, and just bad at their job, I will not return or recommend. As for the drinks, they were mid and I liked my old fashioned at Pinkie Masters better(shocker it’s made with Evan Williams and pre batched). Skip this place, esp if you want a good representation of what Savannah offers.

Absolutely loved this speakeasy. The place is amazing, the menu is super creative as well as their cocktails. That was a tad risky though, as some did not taste as expected, so choose your drinks wisely!

Very nice place. A lot of specialty cocktails on the menu. Everything myself and my wife had were mixed very well. Bartenders were very knowledgeable. Only downside was the music playing didn't really fit the atmosphere of the rest of the place.

Cool spot in Savannah. Awesome menu and vibe. Drinks were delicious. The atmosphere is perfect for Savannah. One star was removed because the service is very slow.

Would recommend coming here for a drink! It has a great atmosphere and relaxing feel. I ordered an old fashioned and it was artfully made, I would order it again. The one thing I did not like were the newspaper menus. The concept is cute, but it was too much content when just wanting to select a drink. Our servers was attentive and nice!

Love the cocktails and the speakeasy vibes!! The bartenders are very knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Very welcoming, just enough off the beaten path, without being too obscure. Light bites available, focus on the cocktails, great service!

It's really hard to order a bad drink at Alley Cat Lounge. It's a great place for a date or to meet a small group of friends. It is hidden but it can get packed on weekend nights. Best time to go is on a weeknight. The drinks in the photo are the best old fashioned I have had and a mint julep.

Probably the coolest underground craft cocktail lounge. We grabbed seats at the bar, the bartenders were extremely knowledgeable and put on a show behind the bar!! They even created a craft cocktail for us based on our preferences! Very cool experience and vibe.

Although located in an alleyway, there are bright lights and it feels safe. The bar is located downstairs and has a very hip vibe. We went on a Tuesday night and it was pretty busy, the service was slow but the server was extremely friendly. The cocktail menu is lengthy and it is on an “alley cat” newspaper - it was very cool. Cocktails were absolutely delicious and the servers/bartenders will help you choose something you like as they are quite knowledgeable. I would definitely come back!
