This is 3rd time i bought from the take out place, the food is so disgusting. The food is old and taste stale. First time i bought puttu mix and it was all dry and hard to bite, it was clearly from days old, heat up the leftover puttu and made puttu mix. I am from sri lanka, ive visited many restaurants in GTA, this is the worst of all. I would never recommend anyone to go here. They put leftovers in the fridge and heat it up for next day.

This is the best Sri Lankan style food joint in toronto. I have tried food from this place few times and thought of doing a review. 1. Best kotthu hands down. The roti is cut into small pieces and genrous amount of meat and vegies compared to other places. 2. Best lump rice. I have rried few other places in toronto but no one can beat this. It is super. 3. Fried rice is perfect. With generous amount of vegies and meat. So tasty. 4. String hopper kottu. Big portions and on par with other places but super good. 5.Bhiriyani could be improved but it is good quality as well. The egg plant moju is on point. 6. Snacks such as samosas rolls and rotis are perfect. Really good food. Best collection of foods. Reasonable pricea compared to the portion. #1 in toronto for Sri Lankan foods.

Great little Sri Lankan / Tamil take-out spot. Full spectrum of Lankan curries, biriyani, short eats, desserts and drinks. Come with your spice tolerance - the mutton rolls are tops, for flavour and heat. Only thing is ordering can be hectic as it’s a busy and popular local spot.

Their mutton biriyani is the best biriyani I've ever had! This place is one of my favorite and the chicken curry was too spicy for me but my husband who's in love with spicy foods really enjoyed it. We tried noodles which was also good. The tastes good, prices decent. Highly recommend!

Visited Arun Bakery the other day in an unassuming plaza beside Canada's Wonderland. This takeout place has a good reputation for South Asian food so we came to check out why. We found it a bit strange that there were no menus but they were friendly enough to explain, and I guess the regulars know exactly what to order! The specialty here is Sri Lankan food. We tried two curry dishes (about $7 each) with roti bread. True to the cuisine, both exploded with amazing flavour & heat from the first bite. The chicken curry was more creamy while the mutton curry was darker in depth like a red-hot caudron. The chunky pieces of protein were tender, and they were surprisingly generous with the portions. The spice level is likely unbearable to some, but at least they're authentic and don't hold back. The samosas were also worth trying: their veggie samosas (about $1 for 3) were well-seasoned with potato/lentil filling and a nice crisp pastry skin. I've been told that Indian food becomes hotter as you try southern cuisine, and the island of Sri Lanka is off the southern tip so be warned! Arun Bakery has been open for about 10 years and seems to be a hidden gem. We'll certainly be back when we need another fix of deliciously spicy curries and other treats.

The food here is tasty, in general. Their vegetarian noodles were good, a tad too oily . I wish they would stop using styrofoam to show concern for the health of all their customers. That said, they were happy to accommodate me by lining them with aluminum foil. Clearly, with the brisk business that they do, they must be doing well enough that they can offer biodegradable containers. I'm happy to pay extra, too, because their prices for food are very reasonable. We also ordered varhdas at $0.50 each. We loved their sooji laddoos. So definitely go to this restaurant. They have enough customers who line up, trust me, so they may or may not need more patrons, but if you want good food at reasonable prices, this is your place.

First time coming here. Amazing Sri Lankan food! Everything was so tasty. We got the veggie thali and mutton biryani. Both on the spicy side.

My husband and I usually get food munchies from Arun Bakery. We love their spicy roasted peanuts. Their mutton patties is pretty good as well. I love their butter cake with raisins. Edit: my husband bought onion bun December 2023. The amount of onion stuffing they put is ridiculous. What a rip off. Considering you guys are one of the two Tamil bakery stores in Vaughan, you should be attracting customers not ripping them off.

Arun bakery is a nice cosy place in peace plaza. They have a wide variety of Sri Lankan food which is very nice. One thing I would like to mention is that the staff should be open to explaining the food as most people are not familiar with it. WHAT I ORDERED Masala chai was really good. I didn’t like samosas. VERDICT I ll definitely go again.

This is the best food place for those Sri-Lankans out there. This is the best tamil food place in Vaughan that i’ve been to so far. Their food tasted really good especially their mutton rolls. Arun bakery wonderland is the best tamil food place. 5 Stars.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Sri Lankan food! We really enjoyed the variety of "short-eats" which are Lankan snacks. And yes, we tried almost all of them! The crab curry, fish curry and devilled shrimp are excellent and the flavour was perfect! All of the vegetable curries were amazing as well. Highly recommend Arun Bakery for delicious, spicy Lankan food!

The food here is always tasty and of great quality. They have a mix of non-spicy and spicy food, catering to all types of palates. We've had the beef/chicken/veg samosas, fish cutlets (round, deep-fried fish and potato balls), mutton (South Asian term for goat) rolls, mutton curry, shrimp curry, and veg meal (consists of rice, 4 veg curries, papadam - fried, thin, crispy round wafer, and moormulahe - whole chilies soaked in yoghurt and dried in the sun). Whenever I get the chance, I go down there and buy a bunch of food to take back home. I definitely recommend this place for Sri Lankan food.

I found hair in a side dish that I ordered. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because they offered to replace it next time I go in.

I ordered briyani from this takeout restaurant. It smelled spoilt and tasted as it was a day old. Rolls will only have 1 mutton piece. The food is not fresh

A year back I tried veg spring roll it was stale so never tried here again. But recently tried the veg kothu parotta and it was amazing and the food quality overall seems to be improved. Will try again for sure.

Yesterday was the first time in this good restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last. We had great time with the courteous service, with the great cooking and booze and with the decent price. We will definitely return there in a short time.

Delicious food for a quick bite before heading to Wonderland. Egg roti was a great non-spicy option for our toddler. Veg samosas were the best I've had in quite a while!
