Everything was 5 star. Visited twice there in a week. Its one of the very few halal Chinese restaurants in Markham. There are many items in the menu and all we tried were good. The ambience is great. Their service is very quick and the portions are of good size. All items are served piping hot. Parking is not an issue here as there is a huge parking area. They don't accept credit cards.

The food here is, in a word, outstanding. We've been twice and both meals were off-the-charts. One of the reasons we chose to try Xin Jiang is that they do a lot of lamb dishes. We love properly prepared lamb and these folks do it right. We've had BBQ Lamb Skewers, Braised Lamb on Naan, and Roasted Lamb Ribs. Every one of those dishes were fabulous, though if we had to choose just one it would be the lamb ribs. They were rich and fatty (in that delicious way only lamb fat can be), and cut wonderfully with the onion and veggies served on the plate. They have a lovely, very lightly battered crust that adds a bit of crunch to each bite. Their BBQ and skewers are varied and delicious. In addition to the BBQ lamb we've tried BBQ Chicken Gizzards (soooo good) and BBQ Okra. The ones we've tried have a dusting of a barely sweet, warm cumin seed/chili powder mix that adds a unique and earthy flavour that we now crave. Another appetizer worthy of special comment is the BBQ Squid Tentacles. They come lightly bathed in the cumin/chili spices infused in a light oil. The flavours are blended perfectly, and the squid is firm enough to be crunchy but not chewy. Some of the best we've had. Their Stir Fried Green Beans With Minced Beef was delightful. The green beans were heated through but tender and flavoured with a balance of Sichuan peppers, hot peppers and onions. The beef was tender and juicy, with just enough to satisfy but not so much to distract from the beans and peppers (which were, for us, the star attraction of this dish). Another outstanding offering is their Xinjiang Style Crispy Beef. We make a pretty mean crispy beef at home and love trying other versions when we find them. And this is one of the best we've found. Coated in a wonderful light batter with a pleasing texture, the super tender beef is complemented perfectly with a flavourful cumin and hot pepper spice mix. Their menu is huge, and we've only been able to try a few of their offerings, but we've purchased a membership (a great deal; a $20.00 membership gets you 10 - 15% off every dish) and will be back often to try every dish on the menu. We've even got a menu at home that we're going to fill in like a bingo card as we try each dish! LOL We can't wait.

Some of the items we had was really delicious. Specially the beef fried rice. Portion was very small compare to the price. Price is also in higher range than other traditional Chinese restaurant. They dont accept credit cards, Fyi

Went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday, and didn’t enjoy the experience at all. The food does not match the description on the menu. The cuisine is not authentic XinJiang, and service was horrible. We ordered what is translated to be “wild mushroom” stir fry, but this dish was full of onions and green bell peppers. When we asked the waitress why it looks like this, her attitude was “well this is what mushrooms look like”….. I’ve been to many restaurants before and ordered the same dish, I have never seen this before. Please if you are going to say this is just regular mushroom stir fry with onions then write that on the menu! Don’t try to dress it up when you can’t fulfill the name. Will never go again!

These three are their best so far: - B01 Xinjiang style BBQ lamb kabob - R41 Shrimp, ground chicken and crab dumplings - P04 Sliced Potato & beef in a wok We enjoy eating their delicious halal Chinese cuisine and enjoy the 2 years membership deduction each time we come I leaved so many years in Penang/Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and this place is the only one around so far that give me a similar taste

Visited this restaurant with a bunch of coworkers to celebrate a milestone on weekday. Their lunch specials are excellent and the I opted for the Xi jiang Style Fried Rice. It comes with some hot, delicious, chicken soup as well. The amount of food is on the larger side and you're NOT going to get hungry as it's very filling. The mild spicy in my opinion was a bit too spicy for but nevertheless I recommend this restaurant for a visit 👌. Oh and all the meat is certified Halal!

Xin Jiang is a must try if you love Lamb. The province in China is literally known for their exquisite Lamb dishes. A must try would be their Lamb pilaf rice (although alittle pricey for such a small portion), the dish is oozing of Lamb aromas. Their sizzling plate Eggplant/ potatoes/ meat is also one of our favourite. Their fried beef is also delectable and has a numbing and spicy tone to it which i enjoyed. When you come here, there will be two prices you see on the menu. The red one is for the vip members. It cost 20$/2 years to be a member. If you order alot or you see yourself coming here atleast 3 times, it might be worth your while to consider the membership 😉. Overall, it has become one of our family's favourite places to dine in. The service is also very fast and friendly. AAA+

Food was good taste but definitely on the higher price end than other chinese restaurants. Smaller portions than expected. Tasty but service and atmosphere is minimal average.

Had the skewers and the fried rice with raisin last time, they were very good. Came here again especially for the skewers, found them not roasted but deep fried, understood that made it fast but tasted not as good as last time. Still giving five stars for it. Just don’t do that again please

Delicious Chinese food and very authentic. The staff was very friendly and great service. I personally ate inside but they have a fairly big outside parking lot patio. I ordered a ton of food so my bill was approximately $150 but had lots of food to take home to enjoy more the next day. This was my first time going and I'm looking forward to trying more menu options next time. Thank you.

Good food to die for, every bite and every dish we ordered was finger licking good and hit all the right taste buds. Highly recommend this restaurant on a cozy Saturday with friends and family.

They serve some great food here especially for those cooler days. Lot of the dishes here pack a good amount of heat, but not enough that it takes away from the flavor. The offer a lot of options on skewers and that what we enjoyed the most. Look into their membership. It lasts for two years and will pay for itself if you visit after three or so visits.

Membership is $20 cash. Dinner for 2-3 people basically saves $10 per visit so it should pay off after 2 dinner visits. Pretty good food, but not the best North West Chinese Uyghur food in the GTA. Meat quality varies but is not excellent. $19 noodles with chicken had very little chicken. Friendly service.

This is our 3rd time here… was waiting before reviewing for their consistency. We ordered several bar b q skewers and the. Beef chilly fry and chicken with spicy fried rice. If you’re sensitive to spicy then ask them to make non spicy. Amazing taste and authentic cuisine. It has become our favorite go to place. We’re thinking of getting the membership as well.

Delicious food! We ordered a variety of different dishes and none of them was a disappointment. Personally, I did not enjoy the Xinjiang dumplings but maybe that's the way it's supposed to be made.

The service, atmosphere, and the staff are the best. They are very humble, smiling, and welcoming. Such a hardworking and grateful group of people. It’s my first time here and I’ll definitely come again to give them a chance and try something different. I ordered beef dumplings and spicy and sour shrimp soup. I was so disappointed of the soup. Sour and spicy must taste like tom yum soup, however, it had no taste of sour and spicy. It should be named something else, like shrimp and vegetables soup or whatever. I’m an expert on soup and I wouldn’t recommend their spicy and sour soup at all. On the other hand, I wanted to know what dumplings tasted like so i gave it a shot. The beef dumplings itself tastes good. However, it’s a bit tasteless if you don’t dip it in some vinegar or chili oil. Unfortunately, I didn’t know that and I don’t like vinegar. So, it wasn’t the smartest choice but it was worth trying. Nicest people i liked the place because of them.

Still as good as I remmeber it to be. Re-visited after several years and food is bang-on. They've remodeled the interior from the last time I remember. Service is fast and they don't pressure you to leave. We easily sat there for 2+ hours. It's easy to get carried away and order a lot of food. The price adds up quickly so be careful. We got lamb skewers, beef skewers, hot buns on skewers, fried tofu skewer, cabbage, onion pancake beef roll, some spicy noodle with beef (forgot the name), and a pitcher of beer. Food was fantastic. Beef skewers were a bit on the chewy side. The noodles were the star of the evening. The beer pitcher tasted like light beer.

The Xinjiang-style Big Plate Chicken is very delicious and the portion is enough for 2-3 people. Highly recommend their lamb skewers, which are very authentic and tasty. If you’re looking for a restaurant with Xinjiang flavors, I highly recommend this one

We arrived at 2:00PM for a late lunch. The restaurant was almost all full. (Once you try their food you will know why!) We ordered a variety of skewers - BBQ squid tentacles, BBQ a beef tendon skewer, and BBQ beef. Even though we asked for not spicy the skewers were well spiced and flavourful. (Every table in the restaurant had ordered skewers.) The hand pulled wide noodles with beef were soft and chewy. Their hand pulled noodles are highly recommended. There were a variety lamb dishes. We choose baked lamb shank with herbs. It was lamb-y and juicy. We also ordered the BBQ eggplant. It was smoky and super garlicky.

I can’t say enough about how much I loved this restaurant. Everything was delicious!!! I’ve been told that the food is pretty authentic. So much flavor! And the portions are very generous. The service was very kind too. There were NO leftovers from this meal. I would eat here anytime! The menu is pretty big, so there are many options.

Good spot for rich and flavorful dishes. The lamb skewers were especially memorable. Our only disappointment were the naan bread that were very stale.

We stumbled across this restaurant while window shopping the restaurants at Metro Square. This restaurant caught our eyes with large stews, bbq skewers, mini wok stir fried. We decided to take a chance and try it out. The restaurant is located on Steeles Ave E just west of Warden Ave. We ordered the following: 1. Stir fried bone-in chicken with hand pulled noodles $28.99 2. Stir fried lamb pluck $22.99 3. Pan fried beef and chives pancake $8.99 This restaurant tries to sell you on lower prices if you purchase a membership for $20 which gives you access to members' only pricing. We wanted to try the food first before we decide. Overall the food was really good. The chicken stir-fry had a delicious broth which compliments the noodles. The lamb stir fry was also really good. The server asked us our tolerance for heat/spiciness. We went for mild because we didn't want to burn out our stomach. We made the right choice. The beef chive pancake had vermicelli and egg stuffed in a flaky pan fried pancake. I would definitely order this again. Service was very good for chinese restaurant the orders were brought out fast and hot. If you want to try something different I would recommend coming here and try their specialty dishes. The restaurant is also serving Halal dishes only. Follow me on @whenhungerstrikes17

Overall, food is good and has nice flavour. Our dish came with plain noodle and we ordered extra, but we got a rather small amount still? It seemed like one portion only still. Not sure if they missed it or if they just come small, but it certainly didn’t seem like 2 orders. Service is quite good. Would recommend.

It was my first time there and the place was packed. Food is delicious, but more in the spicy spectrum. The service is fast and the price reasonable.

Pure Chinese restaurant, staff is humble, but no one knew what is Halal or the source of meat, a bit expensive but the portions were good in size , we were only four but not he bill was a bit high, any ways the food was not bad.
