    1. Cleaning staff stole from 6 people in my program. Hundreds of dollars, credit cards, and belongings taken from our rooms which the front desk did nothing about. These rooms with deadbolt locks that are disabled and when asked about safes for our possessions, they scoffed and told us they weren’t necessary. 2. A grown male security guard stalked a 19 year old girl on my program. He went to her ROOM and she had to be relocated. 3. A BANDAID was found in their food which was genuinely terrible overall. 4. We were given HAND TOWELS for our bodies that were often visibly dirty stained with makeup. 5. ANTS INFESTING THE ROOMS. They were very strict about no food in the rooms which we obliged and yet we would wake up with ants on our beds and on our clothes. We never kept food in the room and yet ants. everywhere. 6. Front desk and staff all around were consistently rude, unhelpful, and would blame us for having issues (as in if our room keys/meal cards didnt work and they acted as if we were a hassle and they weren’t voluntarily working in HOSPITALITY). This is all not to mention the location across from a mental asylum and a few blocks from a prison. I wish I was kidding that this didn’t happen, but I don’t even think I’m creative enough to come up with this. Don’t stay here unless you want to be robbed, stalked, or feel unsafe. FIAP: burn in hell.

Can't say that I genuinely disliked the stay but I also can't say that I loved it. We recently stayed there as part of a trip that brought us from Strasbourg to Paris, Lille and Brussels and of all those four places, this was our least favourite. The whole experience felt very much like assembly line service without any personal touch. The bar was also closed quite early (at about 9pm if I remember correctly), yet after coming back from a day of sightseeing we were also told that we were not allowed to consume any drinks there that were not purchased on property so we were caught in a Catch 22. The location is quite a bit out of the way but then again the Metro station wasn't far off. We definitely enjoyed the outdoor area. There was quite a good choice of items available for breakfast. Very safe and clean environment. Efficient service.

Great hostel (not a hotel, some guests in their reviews tend to forget that), with modern rooms and facilities. For the price, it was a great deal for a 2 beds room, with a big breakfast included. Very clean and we'll maintained hostel. Also of importance: no bedbugs whatsoever (Oct '23). This speaks volume to the cleanliness of the place. Front desk staff was super helpful and welcoming, and we had soaps and shampoo given to us when we checked in. This shows they listen to the feedback on their reviews. Also it was super quiet which was very appreciated. I highly recommend le FIAP Jean Monnet and will gladly be back.

Very interesting place to stay. They say intercultural but they should say intergenerational. If you have the unfortunate luck of visiting when there is a large group of children good luck with enjoying your meal times. First day was pleasant minus the heat of the dining hall and the dinner offerings were actually quite good. The second day breakfast was😱😱😱 literally over a 100 children at once. I think they might need a second dining hall for large groups only . The rooms are actually quite nice. Two showers in the 4 bed suits and the beds are very comfortable. What's not great is that in the summer its veryyyyyyyyyy hot and the windows do not open more than a little sliver. They provide fans but they aren't really sufficient given the extreme summer heat.. I highly recommend the FIAP for families and or groups with your children. Others might want to consider a different place.

Large, in personal almost institution type hostel. Great location close to the catacombs. We were in 2 rooms, neither had a place to lock any of your valuables, they offered us to keep valuables at front desk :/ Our room was missing pillow cases and other standard items. We couldn't even get coffee after 8 pm as they stopped serving it???? but anything else was available Weird place, with advanced booking you can find better for the price (55euro pp/ 6 person dorm)

They have very good employees and I saw the way the hostel treat them. It’s something terrible if not inhuman. Besides that, I knew that they don't pay the cleaners correctly, making them work 4 hours more without pay for it. Even if they have a good service, everything works fine (apart from the Internet, which was terrible also) I’ll never agree to expend my money in places like that.

Stayed here with a group program for one night. One of the biggest problems is that the wifi is spotty at best and straight up does not work in some rooms. There was a private bathroom in our room, but the toilet was separated from the shower and sink. Our group had dinner in the restaurant on the second floor, and the food was actually pretty good, especially the mango mousse dessert and cream puffs. I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I went here on a school trip. The only reason I wouldn’t rate 4 stars is because the food selection wasn’t very good and the meat was undercooked. The staff were ok, I only know a small amount of French but 70 percent of the staff spoke some English. towels are replaced every 3 days. The location isn’t the greatest. It is opposite a hospital and the view isn’t great. There isn’t any AC so me and my 4 friends had to keep the windows open. In the morning every day there was an extremely loud bin lorry picking up the bins (6-7am) and late at night there either loud drunk people or massive groups of people outside for 10-30 mins (10-12pm)so it would be better if the location was nicer. This is not for people who are planning to stay in Paris for 3 days plus. This is ideal for night stays/ 2 night stays. The rooms were pretty good but there was no air conditioning and there was noise from neighbouring rooms. I hope you find this review helpful.

It's a nice hostel for students. It has good conference and training room facilities. However, the breakfast options are quite local and also not very close to heart of the city. The positive point is that it's not very crowded and there are good public transport options nearby.

Was really expensive when we were there. Very simple rooms. It is loud and you hear each door. Worst: you are not allowed to bring any food or drinks. They take it from you at the door. Instead you have to buy it for a lot of money in the bar. Incredible. Worst experience I ever had. Additionally, multiple laptops were stolen at our conference. Even from closed rooms. Selection at breakfast is really poor. They got 1 type of ham, 2 types of cheese and three spreads. That's it. Lunch was mediocre. First day we had beef steak which was really bloody and not very tasty. Second day ravioli were nice. Only one drink for each meal.

Do not stay here. The staff is unprofessional and rude. The facilities are okay. The rooms are unbearably hot and the doors don't fully lock. The bolts on the door don't work nor does the wifi, even if you get the premium. There's a cat, a "hotel cat" that has free range in any hallway, any room. If you're allergic to cats, don't stay here. Housekeeping is unreliable and untrustworthy. Money and ID cards have been stolen from rooms. Management says that "this is a recurring issue". There's also "towel shortage" so each guest has one towel per person per stay. Laundry is expensive, be prepared to spend close to 10 euros per load. Breakfast is mediocre; it's the same food everyday. Stale baguettes, croissants, okay hard boiled eggs. Lunch and dinner is hit or miss. There is often two entree options one is almost always fish (which is a common allergen). Sometimes the cafeteria is not open for lunch, which is not communicated with guests. Front desk staff is okay, depends on the day, time and the person at the desk.

Modern hostel, very spacious, very clean, there is even a room service! Rich breakfast and dinner, friendly staff, WiFi could be a bit stronger on the 6th floor, overall a great choice!

went one year ago and forgot to review: breakfast was very good and very big hotel. but we didn’t have soap in our room and even when we went to the reception to ask for soap they couldn’t supply us with any (kind of weird for such a big hotel). maybe they didn’t wanna go to the storage to get it, which is worse.

The hotel is ok, the breakfast ok, the localization not bad. But.. I cannot understand how come they don't have air condotioning in the rooms. It made the whole stay horrible. It was so hot that I could not sleep at night. And I can say, not only for me, other guests were also very angry about that.

I was on a school trip here, overall it was an unpleasant experience. The food was distasteful and gave me stomach pains, the room had cracks in the roof. The location was okay but I wouldn't know because we got a bus around.

This hotel offers great value for the money. The price is not expensive, and although the rooms are small, they are very clean and tidy, much like the dormitory in my college. The breakfast is also delicious, and it is a buffet-style meal. What I liked the most about this hotel is that the front desk service is available 24 hours a day, and there is a security guard at night to prevent outsiders from entering the hotel, ensuring safety. The only downside is that eating and drinking inside the hotel rooms is not allowed, and one has to eat in the lobby on the ground floor.

It was super clean, nice room, just right. We got tea, towels, heater, shampoo, nice space. The staff is really nice. We had an issue with hot water, first we only had cold water in the room, the hotel staff quickly reacted and fixed it, but the next days and nights spent at the hotel, we had to wait at least 20 minutes for the water to heat up. The tV also didn’t work. It is the only hotel that provided a breakfast with that price range, it was okay, again just right. As for the location, I found really accommodating very close to many attractions and the metro station. That was really functional and helpful. Around the hotel there are many restaurants and cafes too that were nice. i also like that we got a cheaper price thanks to the hotel for boat tour tickets around Paris. it’s located in a very safe neighborhood too. All i can say that it was just right. Nothing fancy, everything almost functional and clean

i cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for the nicest hostel experience. the staff is so warm and accommodating. i lost my phone and solene was so kind in helping me navigate options in french. the room was so clean and spacious and not to mention a delicious breakfast included in the morning. if you are looking for the highest quality place to stay on a budget in paris, FIAP is the place!

I bought 7 products in the machine that they have in the lobby, all the products were 1.5-2.5 euros and they charged me 5 for each one! There is a sign outside the machine that says they will update your bill within 48 hours. It's been over a week and I don't have the adjustment. I request my corresponding refund! Be careful with their vending machines, it is not possible that they are charging you 5 euros for a water when it is advertised at 1.5!

Firstly, one thing that was not very welcoming was one of the receptionists. We only got 1 towel per person for my group and these were just big hand towels. The problem comes here, I asked for 6 towels, 3 for my group and 3 for another and the receptionist was very hesitant to give us towels which I found a bit odd. Other than that, the food was practically the same everyday but it was ok. The rooms weren't bad, they weren't dirty nor to small. The hostel/hotel was near a metro station which is convenient.

Staff: Day 3 of a 6 night stay: I'm American and sadly I don't speak French. Despite my inability to communicate in the native language. Every one I've encountered has been extremely nice. Food: The free breakfast is an upscale continental. Cleanliness: I'm super impressed with the grounds, building, and my private room. Housekeeping: I've been offered towels and my room cleaned every day. Safety:There's lots activity with international groups of wholesome people. The neighborhood feels safe to me too. The amenities they offer are super convenient with the restaurant, cafe/bar, laundry, lockers for luggage, places to sit and work, including a large outside terrace. And you can upgrade the wi-fi for Three euros a day. Decor: It's bright and airy positive vibe. I would stay again.

We had a decent stay here. Was very very hot in July as there is no air conditioning, and windows cannot be opened far. Was clean though, and the beds were comfortable. Very basic breakfast but not bad since it is included. Staff was not very friendly, and the bag checks every time one enters the hostel were annoying and weird. The place seemed to be absolutely dead. Definitely not the place for socializing and meeting other travelers.

Comfortable and tidy, very flexible and relaxed. Stayed there 3 nights with a school party from England. Staff very helpful, food not too bad. Disabled rooms and access, they also sorted a hoist out for us.

Visited on a school trip. The accomodation served its purpose, however the food was underwhelming. The fist night we had a soggy frankfurter with chips, the second a burnt beefburger (no bap) with chips. The breakfast was pretty good, but the packed lunches were inedible. A tuna pasta salad and tuna and egg sandwich presented a massive problem if you don't like tuna. Overall, they have a lot to improve on.

Loved the ambience(games, space, restaurant, bar)More like a hotel. Rooms were good and clean. We stayed for 2 nights in private double bed. Breakfast was fine. But dinner was delicious. Note: Hostel dorms are not for 30+.

I feel like them marketing this as a hotel is a mistake. It's a poor hotel, but a nice hostle. Rooms: 4/5 - If you are expecting a hotel these are 1-star rooms, but as a hostle, they are clean and spacious. Location: 4/5 - Not the best location, but everything is fairly accessible with the subway system in Paris. Service: 2/5 - It felt like good cop / bad cop trying to get help from the front desk. The main male, that was there for most of our stay, was terrible: not helpful and not empathetic. The others working the front desk were all great. We did also have a student have 100 Euros taken from their suitcase. We were hoping their security cameras might have been able to catch something, but they were unwilling to check without a police report. We stopped at the police station our last day so we will see. Food: 2/5 - Almost everything we had was pretty bad. The exception was the salmon the final night, which was good.

Clean, very safe, basic hostel. Not a great spot for socializing. Nice that breakfast was included, but didn’t have many options, and the 9:30am check-out time was way too early. Appreciated the efficient laundry services, nice receptionists, and feel of the place.

Not very kind stuff, didn;t care much. Rooms not absolutely clean and not even occupied with soap, fridge etc. Breakfast with just basic food to eat and check out time until 9.30.. Not a bad, but not a great experience.

Good location and nice staff. My 4-beds room was really spacious and clean. The free breakfast is simple with only sweet goods, but well it's free huh, who could complain :) This is a big hostel, if you're looking for a room for a night or two it's totally fine, however, it's not a party hostel I had the feeling that this is not the best place for meeting other fellow travelers.

  • 4/5 Raeanne L. 6 years ago on Google
Nice place. They hoped the charged and moved us to a 2 bed room because one of the attendees was over the age of 30. Extra 30 euros, but it was nice for privacy and cheaper than most hotels. Good security as well, they check the card of each person entering the hostel. All amenities are available for purchase in the lobby, and our stay included breakfast.

I stayed there for work for 7 days. I recommend not to choose this hotel if you need good internet for work. The internet speed was very very slow. Food served during the breakfast was very bad and I skipped most of my meals. In summer, you will face lots of problem with the room as they do not have proper fan/ cooling system. You can not open the windows also as street is very noisy whole night. Usually children come in a group to stay at this hotel and they shout together whole night. Only good thing about hotel was that they clean everyday. I would never come back to this hotel and also not recommend to anyone.

Why work in customer service at a hotel if you are going to be bitter and rude? I have never been scoffed and laughed at in such a nasty way by a stranger until I stayed at this “hotel”. They do not care to clarify, they are cheap, and dirty. Do not stay here.

I would give it a 4-star if there were A/C in the room, unfortunately during the hot summer, the room were very hot and only fan was provided, making it hard and very unpleasant to stay. It is probably only suitable for stay during cooler seasons. It is a bit far from city center, however it was not an issue as we planned to take the subways and buses, which are nearby. On the other side, the room is spacious, breakfast is sufficient (only cold stuff though other than coffee), most staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff and especially security chief was bad. Although I talked with receptionist about our flight which occur at 4am and she accepted to store our bag and let us to waiting in lobby until flight, the security guard kicked us out at 11pm! 5 hours we wait outside. Miscommunication among staff and an unsympathetic rude security guard ruined our entire plan.

I went to this hotel on a school trip in July. From the pictures on the website, I was very excited to see the hotel in real time. After a long travel, we got to the hotel. The main reception was very nice and clean, but that’s not maintained throughout the hotel. The rooms had ants, ladybugs and all sorts of animals in. Many people had bug bits from sleeping. It was disappointing and we were all very dissatisfied. The cleaners job description is to clean, rooms included, but that’s not what they actually did. Instead, they took money and valuable items. After all that they still didn’t clean! This is not right. The food from the hotel was un-cooked, bland and vile. Breakfast and diner/tea were the only meals we had at the hotel. I am very glad that we got to get a lunch outside of the hotel. Each day, there was the same meals. Each day, the food was pink, raw and hardly edible. Many people got food poisoning from this. Overall, there is obvious room for improvement. It is safe to say that I am not planning on going there again, I don’t suggest you do either.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. As compared to the price, the room was nice and it was also clean. The hotel also provides breakfast so that’s a good thing. However, the room had no soaps, no shampoo and no shower cup. These things are available in almost all hotels. We had to ask the reception for soap and the receptionist told us the hotel doesn’t provide any but he gave us anyway. There was also no sandals in the room.

We made a reservation for two nights, however, our flight was canceled due to the strikes in Paris. I called the hotel to inform about this and ask whether it was possible not to pay for cancelation because it was not our fault. The guy who answered said that they will only charge 1 night instead of 2. He only asked to send an email to them about this. I did as was asked, however, they still charged 2 nights some time after. I emailed both Booking costumer service and FIAP. However, they did not do anything. I understand the cancelation policy but why promise if you can't keep your word? Besides, I informed them in advance and I'm sure they did not lose money. Do not recommend because of the customer service. Upd: After FIAP's reply to this review, I emailed them with all screenshots and proofs. However, they ignored my letter :)

I stayed here for a week on a school trip to Paris. The staff were rude and not helpful. The breakfast was great but the dinners were barely even edible. A child in our group got food poisoning. Because of this I ordered delivery every night for dinner and still u couldn’t bring it up to your room which I inderstsnd but you couldn’t even eat in the lobby while dinner was going on in a completely separate room. Not to mention there were no napkins or forks accessible anywhere. I went on a search for a napkin and got yelled at for “helping myself”. The rooms were nice for the price but the showers leaked extremely and there was no soap or shampoo. The hotel was big and spacious but honestly the staff there was the worst part. If the staff were more accommodating and actually took into account things they might need to change it could be better. But it was like talking to a brick wall. Ps I loved the cat.
