Are you kidding me? Know that when you get assigned a room with someone already in it, and you wake them up. The front desk won't care. I mean... It really feels great to walk in on someone who is sleeping, then be told off by the front desk as if it was my fault. Oh, and you can't trust the staff either. Ask them to handle things that would be normally expected at a hotel (for example to give a box of business cards to your business partner 2 hours later..) no.. they can't handle a task like that either. However, policing drinks purchased outside the place (make sure they are safely in your bag... oh wait.. safe.. see point 1)... Making sure they can charge you for anything possible... they are fully committed.

For context: I am an upper-20’s solo traveler, experienced in backpacking/traveling. I stayed here for 4 nights in one of the “individual cabins” of 5 square meters. Here are my thoughts/feedback: 1. I arrived early to the hostel - around 09:00, and the reception person was EXTREMELY helpful and gave me access to my cabin much earlier than the check-in time. I was exhausted and extremely thankful. 2. The location of the hostel itself isn’t anything noteworthy, but it IS very close to the Gentilly train station, and you can easily get into Paris on the train. 3. I would say the average age of those hanging out in the common areas is quite young, likely in the teens/early 20’s. 4. I only ever ate at the hostel restaurant one time - a salmon salad, but it was really yummy! I was surprised at the quality of it. 5. There is no laundry on-site. If you want to do laundry, you must find another facility. 6. The showers closest to my cabin were absolutely disgusting. There was nasty yellow/green grime all over. It made me feel filthy despite taking a shower. 7. The cabin I stayed in was disgusting as well. There were crumbs on the floor, stains on the sheet I was given, dried dark liquid stains on the walls, etc. I was uncomfortable. 8. If you get one of the “individual cabins” - do NOT expect that you will feel like you have your own room, or any privacy. You do not. You are in a group of 4 total cabins that share a room, your “cabin” is crafted by basic plywood. You can hear EVERY little creak, movement, etc., from those around you - and they can hear you too. This is NOT a private room by any stretch of the imagination, so please do not think that is what you are purchasing. Also note that my bed was on the floor-level because the cabin next to me’s bed was ABOVE mine… in it’s own room. They are stacked beds to save the hostel space. 9. You have to make your own bed upon arrival, which is something I was not previously made aware of. Overall, I’m giving this hostel 2 stars because of the amazing reception. The lack of cleanliness is really what lowered the stars for me, as I felt everywhere I went I was disgusted by the dirt, stains, etc.

Bad experience. All together took at least an hour and 20 minutes to check in and get to the room: Was taking forever for each guest to get checked in, couldn't understand why - there was only one guy behind the desk but even then incredibly slow. Then I finally got checked in after 50 minutes, went to my room, but the key card didn't work. I had to go back to the reception 4 times to get a key that worked, they apologized and gave me a free drink coupon at the bar. The room itself was okay but I've stayed in much nicer hostels before for a similar price. The next day after checking out I left my luggage there for the day, came back in the evening to pick it up and went to grab my free drink from the bar. The guy behind the bar told me the coupon was ONLY VALID FOR BREAKFAST... I pointed out the fact that the COUPON CLEARLY HAD A PICTURE OF A BEER on it, and he said that all the coupons look the same, even the ones for the evening (?!!???!!). He relented and agreed to give me a bottle of water. In the end - the place has a good atmosphere in the lobby, cool design and idea for a hostel. But given my experience I have to give the place 1 star. The staff were friendly but seemed to be out of their depth. The place felt safe with security very visible. If you want to save money it's not a terrible place, nice bar area, but EXPECT PROBLEMS.

This would be such an amazing place to stay - if it was clean. The common bathrooms weren't cleaned once over my three day stay (they were very filthy), my bed and sheets had hair (also public hair) and a nail in them when I checked in. There was also a very strange white stain on the mattress next to where your head is supposed to go. After pointing this out they only gave me new sheets and still didn't clean the room. Even without corona this is pretty disgusting, but especially now with the pandemic it's vile to think about rooms, sheets and bathrooms not even being cleaned. I had to leave early, which is disappointing because I really wanted to like it and I think it's a cool place go stay but I didn't feel safe at all.

The receptionists were amazing, spoke English very well and extremely friendly. The rooms were quiet and showers were clean. On the main floor there was a great place to party and meet other people while enjoying beers and playing ping pong / foosball Breakfast was pretty average but good for the price. There was the pour your own beer section which was really unique and worked great! No waiting for a bartender in a busy pub.

I booked with them a private room and this room consists in a tiny room, cold (and outside there were 10 degrees Celsius, not 0!), with the baddest pillow ever and with no possibility to do any movement (to go on the bed I crushed 2 times my arm on a metallic object, which was really painful because there is literally no space!). The only positive thing is the bathroom, which is big, new and tidy. Anyway you can easily find something better, avoid this place.

The worst place I stayed at so far (next to an 8$ hotel in India) and I am a frequent traveler. If you’re an 18-year old student who’s traveling on a very limited budget, this might be halfway acceptable. For anyone else, don’t stay in a Cabin Room. My company booked that “room” for me which was nothing but a 70cm high area with a fake leather mattress (disgusting by itself) surrounded by cheap wooden plates. On the day I stayed there, it was 37 degrees outside and guess what: there was no window and NO AC in that cabin. So I had the time of my life when I had to make my own bed upon arriving. The shower and toilet facilities are shared and I recommend bringing a towel and slippers because it’s nasty. I slept maybe two hours because of the extreme heat in the cabin and the noise of a fellow cabin room booker who took 45 minutes to move out of her cabin at 6am. You can hear a pin needle drop because there is zero privacy. In the morning, I asked for a hairdryer and had to go back up to get my ID as a deposit (for a cheap hairdryer). After using the hairdryer in the shared bathroom, I ripped out the socket because it was loose. At that point, I’ve really had it. I booked a room at another hotel on my private budget because I couldn’t stay there for another night.

Large dorms, and the beds are structured such that every bed feels quite private. The dorm also has a separate bathroom, toilet, and changing area which is very convenient. The bar and restaurant is good and lively. I really enjoyed my stay here. It’s a little far from the very centre of Paris but is easily reachable in 30 minutes on the metro.

The hostel was very well and modern designed. The courtyard was very nice. On the first look the rooms and toilets were nice, but especially the toilets were not clean and missing toilet paper. On the cleaning plan of the toilets you could see, that even though they were to be cleaned multiple times a day, they were cleaned max. 1 time a day or sometimes every 2 days

Jo and Joe’s is probably the coolest hostel I have ever stayed at. It’s very tall and has many rooms, which is great because there are always fun people hanging out in the common areas. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the chicken burger, and the breakfast had a lot of options. The location is great because it is very close to the RER lines and the city university. It was very walkable and felt very safe.

I enjoyed my stay at Jo&Joe. It was a lot nicer than other hostels I’ve been to. Pros: • Private shower and toilet. • Lots of space in the bedroom to unpack suitcases • Spacious bed spaces with power outlets in each pod • Change room and mirrors • Clean • Age appropriate decoration- good vibes. • Bar downstairs with nice courtyard. • Good happy hour prices Cons: • location was about half an hour from the city centre. • small bathroom and toilet but not a problem • no bath mat provided- the floor was pretty wet • air conditioning did not work during our stay, but we were provided with a fan upon request

While the rooms offer a nice reprieve from a day in Paris, the food, drinks, and service leave much to be desired. Food is expensive, but it’s essentially hotel food, so that’s expected. Luckily, there’s plenty of awesome halal joints in the area, and when in a pinch, those offer a tasty bite. While the outside food makes up for the prices and quality of the food inside the hostel, the staff are incessant about not allowing the outside food through their doors. This leads to crowds of people eating right outside lobby. Honestly, not allowing outside food or drinks in is fine during service hours, but when the bar and restaurant are closed, their policies promote a senseless taunting of one’s stomach. The bar leaves much to be desired. Get a bottle of wine from the alimentation down the road and wander the streets. The area is safe enough that this is a fun way to chat with a buddy and spend a few hours. Staff struggled during the check in process, however the cleaning crew does a stand up job. However, there was a vagabond on the seventh floor during my stay. He was a funny guy, but for security reasons, the staff should’ve picked up on this behavior and removed him from the premises. All in, this place is fine during a pinch.

I have taken a cabin room and upper bed it seems to me sophisticating. If you spend time in the room I don't recommend it, no natural light no space to move around . And frustrating service you have to pay extra for towel hair dryer, and to place your lagguge. I see this as poor service and taking advantage to take on your customers. The vibe is super nice to chill and work around the reception area you can feel like a friendly and artistic place beside the service

I’ve stayed for a couple of nights in the hostel, and I think is pretty great. It’s actually well located, considering it’s outside the peripheral area, but you just need to walk for 1 minute to get to the station and take a train to Paris, that it’s actually a 20 min trip, which is good. I stayed in a cabin, it was pretty comfortable actually, just kinda hot considering summer time, I which I could change the room temperature a little, since the thing can get kinda sweaty cuz’ of the weather. Bar’s nice, also the breakfast is good, the bathrooms are shared but they’re clean and they take about that which it’s very very nice. Good ambience and friendly stuff.

Definitely a better bar than a hostel. The bathrooms were unsanitary and clearly barely cleaned or re-stocked. Legit went 3 days without having toilet paper in all but one toilet in our bathroom. Furthermore, the showers frequently flooded and the sinks were never cleaned or re-stocked with soap during our entire stay despite us notifying the front desk. To top it all off, the mattresses were cheap foam and were wildly uncomfortable. Jo&Joe Paris Gentilly might be photogenic, but it certainly is not hygienic. That said, the bar scene was pretty good and we met quite a few nice people there. The best aspect about the place was the chefs, who were excellent for the hostel/bar scene and fun to have brief conversations with. All and all, I would not visit them again.

Best part of this hostel is the common area with a bar and games. Breakfast was terrible. Milk was warm. Bathroom was dirty and shower drained very slow making it smell. Bunk bed mattresses not comfortable and become very hot at night. The windows are locked so you cannot open them when it is hot in your room. Staff has to come unlock it for you. Outside of the city but close to train station.

Really Nice Hostel. I just arrived here after staying at St. Christopher’s Hostel in Barcelona and this place is like a 5 Star Hotel compared to that place. Top Quality facilities. Super Comfortable and private bunks. Vibrant and clean bathrooms. And the staff is friendly. So far I’m really liking it.

I’m a solo female traveler in my 20s and I felt safe the whole time. I stayed for 3 nights and it was great. The whole place has a super cool vibe that makes it lots of fun. The food was also great at the restaurant and I enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings to relax and read a book. The best part was how nice and accommodating the staff were, especially this past Sunday afternoon when I checked in. They were super friendly and helpful. Overall a really great and affordable place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Really awesome place! The staff was very friendly and the bar/hangout area has a super cool vibe. The rooms were very clean and the beds were bigger than I expected and comfortable. Beware of no ac though, we came during a heat wave so it did get pretty hot in the room. Overall, had a great stay here!

Really nice hostel, the bathrooms were regularly cleaned and the common area downstairs was well furnished. It's quite close to the Gentilly station which connects the hostel to the rest of Paris. Only note would be that the food felt quite expensive for what was provided, even with the 10% discount for hostel guests.

i didn’t enjoy my stay here. the “cabin” was highly unpleasant and stuffy. if you are claustrophobic especially avoid staying here. i myself had multiple asthma attacks here due to low / no ventilation inside the cabin. i consider it a health hazard. if you’re going to stay here, stay in a room for a group of people. those rooms are much more pleasant. the public showers were clogged and standing in rising, dirty water is not nice. and some toilets had no toilet paper at all which is not a nice surprise so check. the breakfast was decent, and the staff were helpful but it felt like you had to really try to get their attention if you wanted help. upon arrival i was waiting for ages before they acknowledged me.

Hostel had a great common area and bar space and the rooms were nice but if you are going in summer I would not recommend. The rooms have no working air con and the windows are bolted shut. It was so hot in there that it was an actual health hazard. They provided us with one fan and said they couldn’t help us. The location is also about half an hour out of town which is pretty far considering the price especially when the metro only runs until 12am. Our shower also didn’t drain.

One of the best hostels I have ever been. Amazing lounge area and bar/restaurant, garden was also stunning! So interesting with the events that are taking place daily and with the art being placed in every single wall of the Hostel. Was amazed with the space of the hostel but it’s every corner was tidy and clean and every detail was taken care of. The dorms were spacious, and the beds very comfortable with the privacy that it’s needed. BUT it’s always the people that make the place, not the opposite way around, so the credits go to the stuff, their work ethic , their exceptional English, their positive mood and kindness. I haven’t seen in a hostel before having such a friendly environment and cool vibe as this one! I’m very also thankful to Edward who was kind enough to give me a tour of the hostel and show me all the different floors and areas for the visitors. He was super friendly and very helpful on giving me directions to cool areas and sightseeing around Paris but he was also interested to hear my opinion of what do I think about the hostel! Much appreciated! Not forgetting to mention, the beer self service section was the coolest part! such a smart way for people that don’t drink much beer or drink a lot of beer, to try Jo&Joe’s Bar! I can’t say more you definitely need to visit!✨✨

Seeing as this place is quite popular, hostel’s staffing should keep up. Instead, long waits with one person checking in a consistent queue of surprisingly patient guests. Staff range from good to okay in friendliness. I was never informed that there wouldn’t be a towel provided, nor that there’s a fee of 4€ just to rent one. Bar/restaurant doesn’t accept cash. The property itself is chic and stylish and the demographic of people are okay. Location is understood to be not so great which therefore more or less determines the relatively low rate. I don’t think I’d stay here again

Amazing place with some caveats. First off, really quant and nice place. Staff is very nice. Tries to have a bit of a fun vibe and a decent bar. What I will say is private room is a stretch. You get a queen bed in a small box so your only space is a bed (bunk bed) in which you are separated from your bunk mate, and you have a little table and just enough room for the door. Its 30 bucks so not complaining, but just something expect. I love my time here and will definitely be back!

This place was really nice. The breakfast is very good, very large variety and the food they served in the evenings was also very good. A lot of people come from outside to drink and eat at the hostel so if you meet people there they probably won’t be from the hostel. We met everyone we hung out with in our rooms. The rooms were great and beds comfortable. I was on the bottom bunk and there was a lot of privacy with the curtains being there. The only downside was that the bathrooms were oftentimes dirty or out of things such as toilet paper. But even with that, we would definitely stay at another jo&joe hostel.

The reviews are fake! The bartender literally asked me to give the hotel a 5 star review in exchange for a free drink. It’s the middle of August and the AC didn’t work in my room and their solution was a fan. There were stains on the sheets and I found a bug on my pillow. I found other accommodations because I didn’t feel safe, the neighborhood is grimy and shady. The hallways are dark. The front desk sells $1 condoms - seems more like a sex motel to me.

Friendly staff, football is streamed, music playlist is great, only things is if you want to extend your stay, it is cheaper to book on their website, front desk gave me a higher price compared to online booking. . Just don't get it.

It is ideal for getting into Paris. Gentilly station is less than 5 minute walk away and easily able to get to all attractions in Paris. The bar is over-priced, and the staff weren’t overly friendly. They have a beer wall which is a nice touch. The dorms were relatively clean. The lights stay on till early hours in morning, so difficult to sleep if you’re on the top bunk. Our dorm was quite noisy throughout the night. We asked for an extra pillow but was refused as ‘the hostel is full’. The entertainment didn’t run as scheduled. It was quite disappointing.

Unaccustomed as I am to staying in hostels with a "youth" bent circumstances led me to this little gem. I had a bike and an urgent need to rest and sleep before an early start. This place provided all of the above plus friendly staff, good vibes and convenience. Although I stayed in a dorm I suspect I was the smelliest resident (800km on a bike can do that) so no complaints from me but I suspect from others. I won't be staying again - I'm too old for such things. But I heartily recommend it. Excellent noughties hip hop all evening too. Brilliant.

This hostel was very pleasant to stay in. They have a great bar with a great atmosphere. It’s a 2 minute walk from the train station that takes roughly 20 mins to the centre of Paris. Decently priced food inside & around the area. Would definitely recommend for people travelling to Paris on a budget.

I had a great experience staying here on a trip to Paris. The rooms were comfortable and the common areas were excellent for socializing. It was well located close to public transit and there were multiple places to eat within walking distance.

This place exceeded my expectations in almost every way. It felt like we were staying in a hotel. The lockers were big enough to fit both my big suitcase and my backpack which was so useful. The room, bar area, and outdoor area had plenty of space and every space looks really well thought out and cool. So many nice and cool people and only a single train from the train station next to the hostel to get to the city centre. Would definitely stay again. 👍

Would leave a lower review if possible Ac, lights and blinds did not work when we checked into our room. Place is stuffy and dirty. Staff is okay at best. Also don’t trust all reviews, they give you a free shot if you provide a five star review. No place has to do this unless they are a garbage place.

Upon arrival the reception/bar looked nice and lively. The burgers and drinks were nice and well priced. That was unfortunately the only positive thing about our stay. We booked a twinroom but we were surprised to see two single beds. The room was not as clean as we’ve hoped. They provided us with sheets and a towel, however we found beer crowns and used hairties underneath the mattresses. The beds were uncomfortable and the room was poorly ventilated. It was not allowed to open up the window, which made the room really unpleasant to sleep in because of the heat. When we spoke to the staff at the reception to ask for help we got met with a rude and judgy attitude. The staff was overall not customer friendly and did not seem willing to put in any extra effort to help. We would not stay here again. You truly get what you pay for and that’s not a lot. Only a suitable hostel for teenagers or people who are looking for a place to stay after going out.

  • 1/5 Beatriz C. 6 months ago on Google
I wouldn’t recommend this place to someone that wants a comfortable stay in Paris. I booked a cabin thinking that I would have a little more privacy, it didn’t happen cause the cabin is made out of a cheap material that you can listen to everything. The “bed” and the pillow are extremely unfortunate. Also you need to pay 4euros to rent a towel (?) and the size of the towel is literally jokes, if you are more on the bigger size I dont think you could fit in the towel.

This place is a long way from the city. Charges €15 to store small bags. pricey beer. Decent enough breakfast. Not so friendly staff. Poor service. Make your own beds....areal pain when you check in at 1am. It is clean and feels safe.

I missed my flight so I had to stay 2 days in Paris till my next flight. I’m very happy I found this hostel because it’s not that far from Orly airport. The hostel is very clean , bathrooms are clean , the small private room perfect for sleeping. Staff was very nice. Coffee is good There is a huge park near the hostel so it’s nice to walk around there. Thank you !

I stayed here for 1 night and it was very interesting. I arrived late and check in was fine, had to pay a small fee nothing crazy. I went to see my room and it was alright environment. The rooms are very big with pod like bunkbeds, there are lockers, and the bathrooms are pretty big and nice. The decor in the bathroom is so bad, it’s a creepy old man half naked on the beach. I really liked my room it was on the 6th floor in a back room, my roommates were nice and there was even a private terrace with chairs. This place is very big, the hallway was long & windy with lots of doors to other rooms. This whole place reminds me of a spaceship. The staff is nice until later at night around 10pm on Tuesday night a man came around telling everyone leave the courtyard bc time was up..? Nobody wanted to leave so he went around banging on tables, telling people to leave and eventually he turned off the lights and that’s when everyone got up & left. I really dislike they kicked us out when everyone was relaxing in the area they made for us to have fun, everyone was respecting the space. I had only just got out in the enclosed courtyard to explore my new stay and that was my first impression. There is a room called happy house on the top floor with a rooftop that’s always locked day & night and it has a kitchen like setting that has a fridge & microwave. It’s nice to have but the place was so dirty and crawling with roaches. Lastly: don’t forget to check out by 10am!! They will charge you so be careful! Wouldn’t recommend this for visiting Paris, find something closer.

Really big place that is built specific to travelers and to make that money. Pods are comfy and well priced so I stayed multiple nights. 16euro burger lol, pass. 16 euro pints? Pass. Actually glad the alcohol prices are crazy or there would be even more loud late night drama smh.

I spent a nice time at the hostel. I was solo travelling and needed an economic place where to stay. The dorm is very big and there is a lot of space, the bed is comfortable and I slept really well. The staff is amazingly kind. The reason of my three star review is because of the dorm bathrooms. I stayed there for only three nights, but the trash bins were exploding since day one of my staying. The floor was dirty and the sinks and showers too. I was also astonished that ther was no other bin in the room at all apart from the tiny ones in the bathrooms. Another suggestion I would like to made: the choice for breakfast is very limited, some other products could be implemented. So, apart from this situation in my dorm which I hope is not the standard, I would recommend to stay in this hostel as the position is good, the price is convenient and the hostel itself is very nice and lively.

This is an amazing hostel, I absolutely recommend, the location and facilities are great. They also have the most amazing staff, super lovely and helpful. A special thanks to their awesome Bartender Eric who is a sweetheart and prepares great drinks (specially caipirinhas 🤍) If you are looking for a great place to stay and relax, in an cool atmosphere this is the place. This is definitely my go to hostel in Paris.

The cheapest hotel in Paris with the best facilities. Great atmosphere. Ideal for young travellers. Suburban railway (RER B) is right across the street. It has connection with CDG Airport. You just hop on RER B and you hop off to the last stop of the line. Shower is great and always hot. Bed is comfortable. AC was not working (they told us that they would call a technician to fix it but in 4 days we stayed, we didn't see a change). Friendly staff. No room cleaning during our 4 night stay there. In order to use a hair dryer you give your passport or ID and you get it back when you return the hair dryer. Bar is not that good. Fair prices. They speak basic English but if you are a French speaker you will face faster service. We didn't have breakfast as we didn't like the photos of it and we chose some local boulangeries and patisseries. Check out was simple and quick. Toilet paper was not good. There is a supermarket (Franprix) next to the Gentilly RER, so going your way to the hotel you can pick up necessities like toothpaste or food (made sandwiches in the fridge). In terms of safety, which was a concern as the hotel wasn't located in the center of Paris, we never felt unsafe even when we were heading to check in with our bags packed and arriving to Gentilly RER at night. We booked a room for two with private bathroom. If I am in Paris again, I would definitely have it in my list, especially in case I am a budget traveller.

I loved the concept of the Queen sized private cabins! I really wish more places would do something similar! The staff was nice as well. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue (bathrooms were just ok and my cabin want super clean), the mattress are essentially gym mats (I didn't mind this, but definitely didn't feel like a spring matress at all), and I didn't really feel like there was much of a social vibe here. (Felt very much like a hotel) The best way I can describe the hostel is it's exactly what you'd expect if a bunch of hotel executives got together and said "how do we make a cool hostel".

Staff are excellent here. Very helpful and chill. Open 24/7. Has a good bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Priced fair and pretty tasty. You get 20% off food and drink if you stay here. All the rooms are on the upper floor so you won't be disturbed if your not into partying all night. I'll be back when I return. Thanks!

Accommodating staff, nice hostel, clean and well maintained. Near transport. Only that its expensive to leave luggage with them.

Would have been better if it was just clean. Bathrooms were only cleaned once in the 6 nights I spent there. The sleeping pad looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in between guests at all and the sheets had lots of hairs in them. Very glad I decided to bring my sleeping bag to sleep in.

Great place. Very welcoming. Nice cubicle. You have a private place at a very good price. Showers and toilets are clean. I have been there about ten times now and it is always a good experience.

I stayed for a Saturday night at Jo&Joe Paris Gentilly. It was easy to find though the RER B can be a little bit sketchy during the night. Very dynamic/nice staff at the desk at all time (I arrived around 6:00pm so there were not a lot of people in the queue). Check in and check out went fine. The cubicle was perfect for a night or two even though the blanket is a little bit small. The breakfast only has “Viennoiserie” and water which is a little bit disappointing. Great value for money overall. I will definitely stay there another time when I am in Paris

The stuff are lovely, the bar and the restaurant aren't pricy and offer great atmosphere to hang out. The cabin bed is sooo cool. The bathrooma are big, with hot water and all. There's also a kitchen for the guests to cook in. Its all amazing and the price is good. I would definitely return

Great location close to public transport and a nice park. (Montsouris) The rooms are spacious and our children were very enthusiastic about the design. The matrasses are poor quality though and we missed fresh air as the windows cannot be opened. We don‘t recommend having breakfast in the hotel. There is a nice bakery to the right of the hotel where you can get good bread and much better coffee!

Nicest hostel I've been to. The only thing was the kitchen is closed during the morning and the restaurant only takes credit card. The staff was amazing.

Neither good nor bad. The bathrooms and showers are very unhygienic. The beds are quite comfortable and the rooms are large. The bar and live music was good. Location is not great though - about 1 hr walk to the main attractions or 2 trains. If you are only in Paris for a short time, it is probably not the best option. Good bakery down the road. Nice staff.

My friend and I stayed at joe&jo for 4 nights. We each had a private cabin and found them really comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathrooms were really clean and modern. It was a great place to meet other traveler's and had a good range of drinks available at the bar. It is close to the train station. We would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Paris!

As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe. I stayed in the all-female room and was able to make some friends. I saw another comment saying it’s tough to make friends here, but I find it to be the opposite! The restaurant/bar area is really lively, as guests AND locals(who are not staying at the hostel) are permitted to eat/drink there. I haven’t stayed in a cabin here, so I couldn’t tell you if that would be a good option for people who prefer to be alone. Everything was really lovely, I had the bottom bunk so I had a lot of privacy. I only ate at the restaurant once for dinner but the burrata burger was really good! If you’re a vegan, you might struggle to find food options but, as a vegetarian, I was fine. My only caveat is that the bathroom was a bit dirty at times (which is to be expected with 12 girls sharing a room) but otherwise than that, I loved it! Will definitely consider other Jo&Joe locations in the future.
