I’ve stayed in a good few hostels, and this one sucks. There ARE better in Paris, I promise! Ones without mold in the showers and on the ceilings, ones without deadpan receptionists! Anyways, the hostel was pretty expensive, which was to be expected for the summer in Paris. I was put in a room, but told that I would need to move rooms the next day and had to be without a room for 5 hours (10am-3pm) during their usual check-in/out hours. I booked my stay here 3 months in advance, so that alone was annoying, but fine. In order to move rooms, I put my bag in their storage locker for those 5 hours, but I had a wet towel with me which I rented from them (6 euro) since I showered that morning. Normally my towel would either be hanging to dry in my room, or I would have returned it to the front desk when I checked out. So I asked, since they are requiring me to move rooms, if they would take my wet towel and give me a new one when I came back (since I was without a room for those 5 hours). They said no, and so I stuck my rented, wet towel in the storage locker with all the other stuff (where there are no hangers) which felt gross. Utterly insane how inflexible the staff are, when they expect me to be flexible and switch rooms/be without a room for hours, having scheduled my stay 3 months in advance! The rooms themselves are bad. Creaky beds with NO side railing on the top bunk (I am not a roller, but if you are, you could very easily fall off). And of course, the revolting moldy showers with mildew-infused shower curtains which have probably been there for years. The receptionists seem utterly indifferent to your existence (I stayed 4 nights, so I saw a few different ones). When I checked out, the woman wordlessly held out her hand for my key, I think the only words out of her mouth were “Do you have 2 euros so I can give you 10 back instead.” I was just so incredibly disappointed in this hostel. The guests there were pretty nice though, and the bar area is cute, even if the cigarette smoke and noise floats up to your room every night. Also location is fine (but like I said, you can get good location without the terrible service). Do not recommend at all!

It was okay. Booked it because of the location which was nice and located in a cute part of town but other than that, didn’t love it. The walk to the Eiffel Tower is about 25 minutes away (not 10 as advertised on their page). I also booked a female dorm and when I arrived into my room, there was a couple guys staying in there! I asked my other hostel mates if they had booked a female dorm too and they said it was advertised as mixed! Needless to say, don’t expect an actual female dorm if you book it. I was super frustrated but as I was exhausted and only staying one night, I just dealt with it. Bathroom has no ventilation so it steams up really bad and makes the rest of the room humid. Beds are skinny and creak every time you move and there’s no lockers to store your bag. There’s a small safety box to keep valuables but our bags just had to be shoved under the bed. Really crammed space with not a lot of room to move around when everyone’s in there. The interior of the hostel has a bar which is open to the public so it gets pretty loud if you’re on the level floor. Overall, convenient location for the Eiffel Tower but would personally not stay here again

Hassle free check-in and check-out. Great and best place for solo travellers, a group of friends or maybe a family of 4. It’s a pub and the rooms are right above the pub, hence you get that vibe. So, don’t complain about the noise and other things. Stayed here for a night as a couple and the reception host was kind enough to give us a 4 sharing room only for us. Best hostel vibe. Highly recommended.

There are FAR better hostels to stay at and spend your money. There was a big miscommunication between us and the bartenders yesterday evening and we popped a champagne bottle in the courtyard 30 minutes after hours on accident. Wouldn't have been a big deal but the owner ran out screeching, chewed my friends and I out and threatened the bartenders' job very publicly. I have never been approached like that by a manager/owner/other in my life, it was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had despite years of working in hospitality. Would honestly have recommended the hostel to family/friends before that experience but now I can't in good conscious. For the price paid for a room, that was entirely unreasonable and a terrible way to treat a guest. Only come here if you can handle verbal abuse.

This hostel ruined my stay in París! Awfull experience! I got sick for the dirtiness of the place. I could not sleep, because my room (a 4 bed) was super tiny with the beds stuck to each other, and the lock of the door was broken, so it remained ajar, the whole day and night... very insecure and imposible to sleep... The showers :=( dirty and like chemical bathrooms... awfull. 3 days to forget...

The hostel in general is fine and bareable but there are a couple of issues that would make your stay unbearable: 1- beds are squeaky and make a lot of sounds. 2- shower head is very low that you can't take a shower unless you are holding the shower head in your hand. 3- bathroom and shower are not clean at all, and very close to the beds so anyone taking a shower or using the bathroom will disrubt the sleep of others. 4- the 8 beds room is distributed as 2 beds downstairs and 6 upstairs which isn't fair as the 2 down are like privates. 5- there is no place to leave your clothes or stuff, only tiny lockers for important belongings.

The location of the Hostel is comfortable. The hostel or bed in the hostel was shaky and the guest under the moon when he turned around, the whole bed rocked and creaked. At night it is impossible to fall asleep before 1 or 2 after midnight. In the courtyard of the hostel is an indoor cafe. People are too loud and it's all 1 meter from the room. Hygiene is not up to standard. The floor hasn't been cleared for a week. I’ve been to many hostels in my life and this is the worst so far. The last day I left, the receptionist wasn't very kind with a smile. I'm sorry but. I will not return to that hostel. The money I gave is not justified. I was in room 102, check bed number 5.

Location was good, close to metro station, within walking distance to the Eiffel tower. The staff was kind and helpful, the rooms have a small locker. The shower and toilets are comfortable, the breakfast was simple. The kitchen was equipped with a microwave, toaster, oven and sink. I enjoyed my stay here.

It was absolutely great staying! Good location (20 min walk to Eiffel Tower), free delicious breakfast (croissants, coffee, yogurt), nice staff and good facilities! Especially like atmosphere in evening time! There is pub downstairs open till 2 a.m. I will highly recommend this hostel for all tourists and I will come back there in my next trip to Paris!!! ❤️

We are on a two week backpacking trip and this in by far the worst hostel we’ve stayed in thus far. To start with the noise, not only is the building behind under heavy construction starting at 8 am there’s a church right next door that rings a million bells throughout the hour (not just on the hour) which isn’t mentioned anywhere when booking. On top of that the beds are uncomfortable, lack privacy curtains, bed railing, or under the bed lockers for bags asking you to simply put stuff under the bed. This hostel was in a nice part of Paris but far from any bars if you’re interested in going out. Staff was nice enough and the overall experience was ‘ok’ by far not the worst hostel in existence but out of the 10 I’ve stayed in definitely the lowest at the cost point.

Been to this hostel before so i was excited to come to it again I would say it is an average hostel but the people that work there are exceptional! I had a dude who checked me in and out and gave me recommendations he was polish and the nicest guy. I am sad i forgot his name he is amazing! Now the good and bad about the hostel: Good The workers The room is big Don't have to make or take apart bed Big comforter and pillow Comfy bed The toilet and shower rooms are big The shower is clean and good looking The breakfast is small but not terrible Good part of paris with great great food and markets nearby and a pretty flower shop next door Close to the metro Bad The top bunk is scary and rickety hard to get up and down i almost fell so i begged for the bottom bunk when a girl left and that was way better Small stairs up to my room that was scary

Been here 3 times now on 3 separate trips to France. The location is lovely, the staff are so fun and friendly. There's a feeling of familiarity and also adventure when you stay here, its hard to explain, but you just know you're safe around the people at this hostel. It's a nice home base to rest, recharge, and then continue your Parisian adventures.

Overall, great stay at 3 Ducks!! In depth- Location: Great location! Super safe neighborhood, around 25 minutes walking to the Eiffel Tower, the metro station is just around the corner! Room: Decent room, the bunks are short so I wasn’t able to sit up straight on the bottom bunk. The beds were not comfortable, but doable- they felt damp. Bathroom was clean, shower was hot, and toilet and shower were separated which was convenient! Noise: Besides the church bells, noise was not really an issue. You have to go through the bar to get to the rooms, but the noise practically disappears. Price: a bit pricey for what you get, but I’d say it’s worth it if you are staying for a short time. You can store your luggage for free after you checkout as well which was great!

This hostel was an amazing place to stay at and the receptionist was very supportive. You'll not feel like you're sharing a room with another people as the way they organized stuff. There is a mini bar at the entrance as well. 3,4 minutes walking distance from the metro and main tourist destinations are nearby.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating! Our private room was larger than expected. Even with the bar, it was still quiet enough to sleep when we went to bed early. Room was clean and the vibe of the hostel was very cool!

The location is pretty convenient. There are metro stations nearby. The rooms are comfortable and the restrooms are clean. The staff is really kind and forthcoming and the vibe is cool. Only con we saw was that the prices of the bar were a little bit high.

As a solo female traveller I felt very safe here - nice area, near some shops/bakeries, and so close to the metro! I was in a 6 bed female dorm, the bar can be loud and beds are very creaky as others have said but just put some earplugs in and you'll be fine. Hairdryer didn't work and could be a little cleaner but it is a hostel at the end of the day. To clear up some confusion in the reviews - it's a 20 minute walk to the end of the park in front of the Eiffel tower (which is a perfect spot to chill with a good view) but obviously a longer walk to be right at the foot of it. Overall, a great place to stay (especially compared to other more expensive options)

Staff are friendly and happy to answer questions. Loud bar area and the sound travels as the rooms are just above the alfresco area. Blue lights in the bathroom make the room feel dingy although I understand why they’ve installed them. No shelf in the shower which makes using bars of soap very inconvenient. Kitchen is tiny and has very poor ventilation system but is equipped with a microwave, stovetop, and kettle. The common area is by the bar which feels less like a hostel lounge and more like a night out. Good if that’s your vibe but not conducive to easily meeting people who are also travelling, in my opinion, as there are people from outside the hostel as well. Beds are relatively comfortable although there are no curtains so the light from phone screens at night is disturbing. No shelf space by the beds but there is a light and charging ports. Light from the bar comes through the window on the door, which the blinds don’t cover and it’s surprisingly bright. The room was cutely decorated and included small, secure lockers and a table and chairs, which I used quite a bit. A good location with supermarkets and a metro stop a few minutes away.

TOTAL Waste of Money! One of the worst hostels I stayed in for quality of room and service. The room literally is as small as a prison cell and unbelievably crammed for the amount of people they would have there. Nothing is provided( not even soap was in bathroom) and they want you to pay deposit to return towel and room card key !!( first time paying deposit for room key or towel). Also they want you to take off bedsheet and everything and bring down to laundry area once you leave! The expectation versus the quality of service you get is ridiculous. I wanted to cancel the reservation first night when I saw the situation and they wanted me to test it for one night and if not, they would do it but the day after front office person changed and totally denied the possibility of any refund. I left early without getting refund and so did my roommates as the situation was unbelievably bad to stay and use the toom that you paid for!

The rooms are fine, having the courtyard/bar is great to have a place to meet people. The big knock is this isn't a hostel set up for a digital nomad. Wifi is only good in the room or inside the bar. Tough to take meetings when your only options is where others are sleeping or where there is loud music. Wifi isn't good on the terrace.

3 Ducks is central located hostal with a nice bar. I put 4/5 stars on the service because of the drink price, one pint €10 is quite expensive taking about a hostal.

Great location, safe area, 20-25 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower (15 minutes to the park overlooking the tower), with many cafés, bakeries, and restaurants nearby. The bus station and the metro is around the corner to take you everywhere else. Bar is always lively with both locals and hostel guests there at night. The staff was very helpful! Room and bathroom was clean throughout my stay. No washer/dryer, but there’s a laundromat conveniently right around the corner. Cons about the place is that the breakfast is very basic (though the espresso was solid), but do not recommend as there are better alternatives around the area. Another issue was that myself and some roommates in the hostel had bedsheets that kept coming off the mattress during the night which wasn’t pleasant.

Honestly I have only positive things to say about this place. The rooms are good standard with one toilet and one bathroom, the staff is so helpful and kind (also english speaking). 20min walk to the Eifel Tower and some nice cafées nearby. I rented bikes for 20 euro by an application and traveled all over Paris. Nice bar aswell if like that or just want to chat. Truly recomend! / Linus

The hostel is amazing !! It’s worth staying there not only because of its perfect location but the place is great and the people there even greater . The lady in the reception is literally the best! I was travelling first time alone and she helped me out so much with everything . My roommates was amazing as well and the rooms super clean ! Best days of my life ! thank you 😘😘😘

The best thing about this hostel is the price and location. Location is amazing. Everything is nearby. There are some great restaurants near the hostel. All the staff is very kind and helpful except one male receptionist. Don't remember his name but he is one of the two male receptionist there (not Jose, he is the best one). He is very rude and will not help you at all than making rude eye rolls and faces. The worst thing is the bar at night. You won't be able to sleep until 11 pm because it gets so loud and you can hear everything in the room. Not good if you have to get up early or you are tired.

I absolutely love the 3 ducks hostel. The staff goes above & beyond for customers. Ale is FANTASTIC & also extremely GORGEOUS. 💙 The location is perfect for shopping and 20 mins from the effel tower. The bar also has the best atmosphere even local parisians stop in for happy hour. Thank you for the best stay ALWAYS UNTIL NEXT TIM ❤🤍💙

The staff were the stand out factor! very nice (gave us free tequila shots + let us play our speaker in the court yard while having drinks). Perfect balance between a bar and a hostel. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Location is ideal also (15 minute walk to Eiffel tower + loads of nice food Stalls and restaurants surrounding it). Would highly recommend this spot for a short trip with friends!

Lovely little hostel in a great part of Paris! I stayed here a number of years ago but still remember how they had blue lights in the bathroom which I just loved bc you wouldn't have to turn on the light in the middle of the night and disturb the others sleeping. They also have a nice little patio terrace in the middle which is nice to enjoy a coffee and write in your travel journal! would stay again.

The location of the hostel is great and the staff are friendly. Those are the only positive things from the hostel. I booked an entire private room since a couple of us were staying over. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and they make a lot of noise when you move. The room was extremely dirty, the bins were full of trash when we entered the room, there is mold on the wall and the shower was so dirty!! The house cleaning would enter the room everyday and he would take more than an hour in there and it would be exactly the same… he just removed the trash from the bins! Pretty disappointed! I have been to hostels but they were never this dirty!

Very clean with a beautiful view of the small part of the city and quiet rooms despite the busy bar below. Great location for a quick rest right next to the metro. Friendly staff and great prices!

I liked the moment I spent there. The staff are friendly and kind and the atmosphere was good for having a chill night after sightseeing Paris. The room was partly clean. But you shouldn’t have high expectations for such affordable prices. It was good, on my book though. Also hot water works properly and as well as hair drawer. Last but not least, its super close to eiffel tower so you can catch it in 20 mins by walk which is great. Tnx 3Ducks. Peace out:)

With 6 to a dorm just too close to each other...head to feet. 4 persons/room would make it more comfortable. Maintenance needs to check for door squeeks. Bath door in 306 was really loud. Also, check the shower drains. Ours was clogged allowing water to back up in shower tub. Nice traditional breakfast. Bar downstairs with courtyard seating. Drink prices reasonable. 2 fire alarms in 3 days. May be set too sensitive. Both false alarms...hair dryer issues. Extremely loud and long. Located close to Eiffel Tower. 20 min. Walk and close to Metro line 8.

  • 2/5 Eric I. 1 year ago on Google
It was close to everything I wanted to do. Plus the room was cheap when I booked it. The staff was great. The only @sshole was the guy with the curly hair. There was a misunderstanding and instead of explaining it he went right into giving me attitude so I had to give it back. His attitude changes with the women and he gets a lot nicer with them Edit: Just changed to 2 stars cause there was a rat near the check in area

Umm many thoughts on this. I wish I could say better things but it just didnt happen. 1. Inside the room, you could hear EVERYTHING. Whether it was the loud generator in the hotel, the people just walking around in the room next to you, the beds were so creaky and you were living so close to the bell tower which rung EVERY 30 minutes, it was horrible. Very hard to sleep. 2. The kitchen was very small and kind of hard to access if it was a busy night in the bar. Very limited inside seating. Having the hostel as a bar probably wasn't the best idea. Positives were the room was clean, had comfy mattresses and you were in short walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. Grocery stores, fruit markets and restaurants were around you super close so i recommend if you stay here- don't for long and also, try and get out of the hostel when you can- theres also no living area to relax

Long overdue review. I stayed here in April 2023 and had an awesome time. Bar staff is very welcoming and friendly and will cater to any needs you have. Eiffel Tower is a very reasonable 20 minute walk and the hostel is metro linked (less than 1 min walk from hostel). Neighborhood is also lovely. Will be staying here again next time I’m in Paris!

Good atmosphere, great location, service could be improved (friendliness and waiting time), rooms are not very clean. the fresh sheets had hair on it, floor was sticky and the shower curtain smelly. still, for the price we paid it was alright.

This hostel does everything just right: the stuff is incredibly welcoming and the service the price is unbeatable and the location has access to all the main features of the city. It'll be my go to postal for a quick pass by in Paris. The atmosphere at the bar is great as well.

Good: free storage room to keep luggage, friendy staff and good service, nice and chilled bar atmosphere downstair, nice breakfast but only until 9:30AM Bad: easy access for anyone from the bar to the rooms. No vantilation in the bathroom smell very damp. No bar for the upper deck bed

I have wonderful experience with 3 Ducks during 2 Nights stay. The team is very co-operative and helped me out the time I need them. The bed is cozy and comfortable, room is clean. I was missing the starter and snacks in their bar. completely worthy for its location, service and most importantly Budget.

Great staff, the rooms looks have been renovated recently, cleaning could be bether for the price, bed and linen are great, towel dry very fast with central air conditioning always on, no smell in the rooms, there are a small locker in the room, but nothing for the luggage. The pub is very nice and local people come to drink and chill out as well. It's still above average hostels, a good one to stay.

Lovely place for a good price in the heart of the city. The staff are amazing and they have really warm atmosphere. They will make you fell comfortable as much as they can. You are going to save a lot of money if you choose this place because the hotel in this area are really expensive.

I loved this hostel! There is air conditioning, and the rooms are clean and modern. The staff are super friendly and helpful! It is loud at night with the bar downstairs, so if you need total quiet at night this will not be for you, but if you want to be social or don't have trouble sleeping through noise, you will love this place! I only wish they had some hooks on the wall so there would be more places to hang towels etc.

This is a funky little hostel in Paris. Location was good, within walking distance to the Eiffel tower however it's not quite as close as staff claim! Rooms were clean but the 8 share room was tiny, especially considering the price. The kitchen was equipped with a microwave, toaster, oven and sink. I did miss having a common room, as there is only a public bar which anybody can access. The room was also quite noisy at night because of this bar right outside our room.

(Translated by Google) Quiet, attentive staff, the only problem is that they kept changing the room, there was a Switzerland who had already changed her room four times, it seems to me that she was a business traveler and maybe she hadn't booked But in my case it was once and another American colleague was already for the second time. It bothered me to keep packing and unpacking. You can walk to the Eiffel Tower. Optimal environment. Incomodava ficar fazendo e refazendo as malas . Da para ir a pé ate a torre Eiffel. Ambiente otimo.

Even if you check out, you can keep your luggage! It's 5 minutes away from the subway station and 15 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. I stayed in a six-person room exclusively for women, but two Koreans, including me, the rest were four foreigners. Hot shower and two washbasins. It was nice to have a shower and toilet in the room The downside is that we don't provide towels and do not clean every day.

Pretty nice experience. Clean rooms and nice roommates. Sadly the only reason i give 4 stars is because i paid extra for a girls only room (guy told me they technically dont have girls only rooms) and then a couple came and there was a gentleman in the room. Guy at the desk was kind of rude about it. Said since i already had my stay and i was checking out it cant be refunded. Informed him the other girl who was with me solo travelling was also mad. He didnt seem to care. Otherwise nice stay. Good breakfast 🤷‍♀️

Great little place to stay in Paris, very close to the metro station which gets you into central Paris in a few minutes. Friendly, welcoming staff who all speak a good standard of English, and the place is very clean. There is some noise from the traffic and the church which is why their website recommends earplugs and a sleep mask which is good advice for anyone travelling anywhere to be honest .nice little area with good amenities close by . Great value hostel.

TERRIBLE. I got a completely dirty room where there was no space for even putting my backpack. I could not stay there for more than 1 night. I asked reception to talk to the manager, who answered to me in a completely rude way via email. I do not recommend this place at all.
