Loved the French Revolution tour so much we booked the Napoleon tour 2 days later. Thierry isn’t just super knowledgeable but shares fascinating stories and makes it super approachable and engaging. As someone who doesn’t know much about history I learned a ton as did my history buff husband. Highly recommend!

Great tours and fantastic guide. Our guide Thierry is very knowledgeable on the historical details and the most important thing was that his humor and upbeating spirit kept us engaged for a whole 2 hours! I went on many walk tours and he is very outstanding among the ones I had.

A highlight of my experience in Paris, 10/10 would absolutely seek Thierry out for another tour! The combination of a thoughtful, scholarly presentation along with our guide's natural charisma, attentiveness, and engaging story telling style made this one of the best tours (slash seminar) I've ever experienced. Add in the well woven backdrop of numerous landmarks throughout the heart of Paris and one leaves with a much fuller UNDERSTANDING of how France became France and Paris became Paris through the lens of the French Revolution. My only regret is that I did not have time to attend another of Thierry's tours while I was visiting, but I certainly will next time!

We flew into Paris to join a river cruise culminating in a day experiencing D-Day in Normandy... before leaving Paris, after flying all night we (8) took Thierry's newest tour: the Occupation and Liberation of Paris during WWII.... it was an awesome tour, magnified by Thierry's enthusiasm, wealth of knowledge, humor, and perhaps most of his patience with our jet lag! Next time Im in Paris, Im calling Thierry... he's the best!

We have now taken four of Thierry’s historic tours of Paris including his series on the Royals, the Revolution and Napoleonic era. We keep returning because he really is a true master of the art of teaching through story-telling. Back in our native U.K. we took many historic tours around London, so we have more than a passing understanding of what goes to make a top quality tour. Thierry’s tours strike a perfect balance of context and background, history, anecdote, scandal and intrigue, all while walking through some of the most beautiful streets in the world. His warmth, enthusiasm and sincere fascination with (and affection for) his subjects is infectious. He deserves all the 5-star reviews he receives and we’re looking forward to taking another tour soon. To us this is a must-try excursion in Paris, to help understand the history of this unique city.

I have taken 3 Parisology tours and plan to take a 4th tour before I leave Paris. I love to take tours when I travel but have never taken more than one tour with a guide. However, Thierry is an exceptional tour guide and any afternoon spent with him exploring a city that he loves is a priceless experience. He speaks perfect English and lived in the United States for many years so he easily communicates and relates to American travelers. Thierry's knowledge and passion for the subject really shines through and he was an excellent and professional guide, good at setting the scene and full of interesting stories and anecdotes that made the revolutionary era come alive. Using an iPad to help illustrate his talk is a nice touch that helps give context for the characters and events. This was an entertaining and informative tour, and great value - highly recommend booking! Worth bearing in mind there isn't a large amount of walking on the tour so dress for the weather.

We enjoyed a wonderful tour. Thierry was brilliantly engaging and knowledgable. The history punctuated by jokes and references that had the who group laughing. His knowledge was brilliant and I would recommend to anyone and everyone who comes to Paris.

Absolutely fantastic tour and tour guide. Thierry brought to life, with vivid and rich stories and pictures, the Napoleonic history of Paris. He brought us to revolutionary street corners, storefronts, and buildings that we would have passed without notice if left on our own. The four hours we spent with Theirry felt supersonic and was one of the highlights of our family visit to Paris. If you are interested in history, you are in the right spot.

The Parisology walking tours were exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to know more about this beautiful city and how historical persons and events have shaped it. No doubt, the best tour guide in Paris. Excellent commentary on every part of the tour.
