No AC, 25 degrees outside, translates to 35 inside your room. No ventilation either, since the air extractor doesn't work, and the window cannot be fully open. NO FREE LUGGAGE ROOM! 9 euros for over 6 hours. We ended up paying 18 euros, because we get the before check in time and when we check out, because we have a late flight. The place is very expensive to not having it included. Towels quality are so bad, really bad. Also, no hand towel provided in double rooms. The shower is the worst experience you will ever have, to turn them on, you have to push a button that will give you water for 3 seconds. To take a normal shower you will have to press it a 100 times. Also the water leaks under the door and you are guaranteed to have a pool inside your bathroom. The staff is nice, and the hotel looks good, but it's only the surface of what you are dealing with. Not coming ever again.

If you’re checking out reviews, you’ve probably seen videos online about this hostel on Tiktok or whatever. The hostel itself is generally nice, the rooms are what you’d expect. The staff and young and friendly and there to help whenever. The bar area is beautiful. However, you should be aware that the rooms are far too hot, and there is no airflow whatsoever. The windows open by 2 centimetres and the “ventilation” is nonexistent which makes sleeping almost impossible. The temperature outside was around 18° and inside I’d say probably around 30°. If you’re staying here in the summer, or you’re sensitive to heat when you sleep, make sure that you either bring a fan or something to cool you down as you’ll need it - or look elsewhere. Otherwise, the hostel isn’t the most social place. Granted, there are lots of people from all over the world staying here, but access to common rooms seemed to be limited based on what floor you get placed on. The key cards don’t allow you to go to different floors, so it was basically impossible to meet others if they weren’t in your room. Same thing goes for the rooftop etc, which all seem to be featured on the website and in the pictures but you can’t actually access them which is a bit of a shame. The location is great however, super central, easy to walk to. Located in one of the best neighbourhoods in Paris.

Forget about sleep well here! Unfortunately, the overall experience was terrible. It's a campsite for parties. Not a hostel for travelers. Completely overpriced. The noise level is intolerable; every footstep from upstairs echoes loudly. They have parties on the 2nd floor, it's impossible to sleep in the 4th floor! All the people from the party go to the bathroom/toilets on the 4th floor. Forget about sleep!!! The bathrooms are not only unclean but also require constant button pressing (every 10 seconds) to take a shower—needless to say, a rather frustrating experience. I forgot something in the women's bathroom and someone stole it. This not the vibe that you expect when you stay in a place. The policy of charging guests for luggage storage is an unwelcome surprise. With a late check-in at 3 PM, a hostel of this size, filled with a predominantly young and inconsiderate crowd, lacks the tranquility one might expect. Malfunctioning bathroom and locker doors inside the room cause guests to slam them constantly, disrupting sleep. This simple problem could easily be fixed, which shows that they really don't care about a good guest experience. The kitchen, lacking even a basic electric kettle, is inconvenient, and the common area is a cramped space with a solitary sofa, awkwardly situated in a corridor. For the price of 40 euros, this hostel falls far short of expectations and could hardly be seen as anything but a rip-off. I do not recommend staying here. It's better to stay a bit far but with the possibility to rest and enjoy your stay.

Very dirty bed curtain, perhaps somebody throw up on it. Definitely need a thorough cleaning. Have to press for shower water and hair dryer. If you want to take a shower for 2 minutes, need to press 1000 times. The curtain on window falls off. Not enough room for luggage storage. Takes money to deposit luggage. Staff are friendly, great location though. Very noisy rooms. Very bad faucet, water goes everywhere.

This is a cool hostel in a great area. It however feels a lot more like a hotel (not surprising since it is grouped with other luxury hotels on the same block). There are no events arranged to encourage travellers meeting up. The rooms are very comfortable with curtains on each bed and a private lock in addition to the bag locker. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are very clean, as is the whole hostel. The kitchen is nice, but the fridge space is very limited and there are no kettles. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great, a stone's throw from the seine and close to the major museums. Close to a bus stop and a metro station.

Pros: Beautiful hostel - very new and modern. In the heart of Paris so excellent for walking to all the sights. Easy to get to from CDG airport and to train stations. Front desk staff were helpful and polite. Stayed in a 4 bedroom dorm and dorm was clean and comfortable with a clean washroom. Cons: NO AC IN ROOMS. Website states it has AC but this is not the case in the rooms. There are ‘cooling rooms’ on each floor which have a few couches and chairs and these rooms have AC but the rooms you sleep in do not. It was 28-33 degrees in Paris when we stayed there and room temp was similar to this. Made for a few very hot nights and was difficult for someone who is not used to that type of heat. Hostel would benefit from getting some sort of thicker blind to absorb heat from the windows as the blinds they had were extremely see through. Also not the best hostel for meeting people as it feels more like a hotel.

I stayed at this hostel for a couple of days , and would rather call it a 5 star hotel over a hostel. The hospitality of staff, cleanliness, housekeeping was superb. Their decor is inspiring and it really is a beautiful work of art. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Paris this is the one. Will definitely be back here.

This hostel is in a nice part of paris. It was clean and welcoming. We had a dorm to ourselves as a family, but it seemed pretty good on security for solo travellers too. We'd certainly choose to stay there again. Some of the furniture was a little tired, with a few of the lockers in our room having exposed screw tips (the sharp ends). The heating was a bit on the warm side for our liking. It's a shame the attached restaurant is a bit on the pricey side for an otherwise reasonably priced hostel.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at People Hostel for one night, and I must say that it was a wonderful experience. As I opted for a bed in a dormitory, I was pleasantly surprised by how well-organized and clean the facilities were. The dormitory was meticulously maintained, and each bed had its own designated space, offering a sense of privacy even in a shared accommodation setting. The cleanliness of the dormitory truly stood out, with tidy beds and neatly arranged personal lockers for each guest. Another aspect that impressed me was the cleanliness of the washrooms. The hostel staff did an excellent job of keeping them in top condition, ensuring a hygienic and comfortable environment for all guests. Overall, my stay at People Hostel was highly enjoyable, thanks to the efficient organization and cleanliness of the facilities. If you're looking for a budget-friendly accommodation option that doesn't compromise on cleanliness and orderliness, I highly recommend considering People Hostel for your next stay.

Overall is a huge hostel, they have a big building with common areas and a big bar/restaurant that looks pretty good, the room are spacious and has it own bathroom. The bed was a little bit dirty and the service in the entrance is just ok some of the workers are a little bit serious

Great experience this past weekend at The People Paris hostel. No problems whatsoever. The rooms are quite nice and feel very private with the black-out curtain, personal shelves, and chargers within your own private bed area. Remember to bring a towel, shower shoes and a lock for your large locker if you are keen. I didn't have a lock and was fine. The hangout rooms and bathrooms on each floor are quite nice and a great option when someone is in the bathroom or being loud in your room (which didn't happen to me). The location was good, near the metro and lots of great restaurants. Be sure to check out the bar/restaurant on the 2nd floor, it was impressive. Would definitely recommend this place and go back. Great value.

I had an amazing experience at the People Paris Marais hostel! The staff members were incredibly friendly, the rooms were impeccably clean, and the people’s vibes were amazing! . Overall, I had a great time. However, there are a couple of areas where I feel there is room for improvement. Firstly, the lockers in the rooms are quite small, and it would be more convenient if they were large enough to accommodate my carry-on luggage. Secondly, the shower system is designed to conserve water, which I appreciate and I’m totally in favor of it, but the process of having to push a button every 7 seconds for water can be quite slow and inconvenient. Especially during winter, it could be uncomfortable. I believe it would be better if there was a system where guests are allotted a certain amount of time to shower without the water being cut off every 7 seconds. Lastly, having a hanger in the bathroom and one in the shower would totally make the experience more comfortable and enjoyable! I would definitely come back in the future, just hoping that they could consider making some changes to the shower system

Hi everyone!:) I really enjoy staying here. This hostel just an amazing place and I for sure rate it as 5 stars and will recommend all my friends. The location is perfect, rooms and common areas are clear, the bed is really comfortable and bed sheets are clean and nice. In the room it’s absolutely comfortable temperature despite the weather was hot outside. And the thing that you guys take care about the environment is just absolutely lovely and amazing. Thanks for that. So, I think that it is absolutely 5 star hostel, I like it so much ❤️🇫🇷

Really incredible hostel: first time travelling solo and staying in a hostel- it was virtually like a hotel, except you share your room with others. It was incredibly clean, the people I had in my room or crossed paths with were very nice and staff were great! I went in mid August and was concerned I would feel very hot as there wasn't traditional AC, however, I felt perfectly fine with their cooling systems and the windows which provided ventilation (and even a bit cold at times, which was surprising and good in the 34 degree heat). Great location and great food and drink places in the hostel, as well as nearby. When I went, one or two of the bars and restaurants were shut, and the rooftop was too, which of course was a shame but didn't take away from my experience (and isn't really in their control in terms of timing). I'll be sure to visit again and would highly recommend. The only thing to consider is that the bathrooms don't have a hook, so it can be difficult to take clothing or other items in there- this is the only improvement I can think of. I stayed in a 4 bed, private bathroom room. The access to usb and 2 plug charging sockets, plus a bed light and great storage/shelving was really impressive. You have a small safe at your bed only you can access and no padlock is required, then a larger box storage- my bag fit and it could easily fit hand luggage size suitcases. Definitely recommend!

I stayed at this hostel in May 2022 shortly after it opened (like days) and our experience was amazing! For how new they were, they were already killing it. The breakfast was affordable and amazing here! You get access to the espresso/cappuccino/latte machine with the breakfast token! Everything was so clean (as it was new) but the spaces were all super safe and bright and comfortable. The room had 8 beds and each space had an assigned locker! Not big but free of charge! They had additional storage for a fee in a locked room. The photo is the restaurant space (that includes a bar!)

Honest review: Rooms are very clean and at a very high level of quality the best was very comfy there was a place for electricity along with 2 usb ports and a safe for your small valuables. Beside each bed you get a locker that can easily fit a huge traveler backpack. The toilet was very clean and every thing worked very well. Luckily i had 2 roommates that were raised on how to respect and behave in a sharing dorm. The restaurant was too expensive, didn’t have enough options but the place was very cozy. I don’t think there was anything to do at the hostel but to get a very very good sleep no activities or vibes around. The reception is the most helpful I’ve ever encountered. They go the extra mile for you and beyond and they are genuinely happy to help you as a friend not just a guest. The hostel is 1 min wall from the metro. The neighborhood is not a touristy place so prices around are very reasonable. I was lucky to stay here.

I’ve stayed here twice now, and would highly recommend. I’ve seen some of the other reviews and I mean you get what you pay for! As far as hostels go, this place is great. NOTE: bring your own towel and your own lock. Breakfast is worth it because it is buffet style, but it is the same every day. Luggage storage before and after check-in/out is 5€ for 6 hours. Location is right near one of the best neighborhoods, Marais. Subway entrance on the same block as well for quick access to Louvre and other locations. 4-person bedrooms are a bit tight because the beds are just a few feet from a wall. I stayed in an 8-person bedroom this time and actually liked it better because the room is large. The curtain on the bed and light in the bed is a great touch. Second floor common area is beautiful, has Wi-Fi and many people studying/working throughout the day. The breakfast is great, although I will say for a longer stay it gets tiring eating the same thing every day because the menu doesn’t change at all. Cleaning staff is constantly cleaning each floor, so I don’t understand the complaints about it being dirty. Rooms/private bathrooms are cleaned as soon as someone leaves which is almost every day.

A nice hostel located in the heart of Paris. If you are looking for a clean place, good location and fair price you should consider it. Pros- Clean, good location, young vibe. Cons- Rooms are very basic. The shower gives water for 5 seconds and then you have to press it again for more 5 sec.. you are not going to enjoy a good shower after a long day in Paris. Breakfast is OK, not bad and not good. In summary- Good for solo travelers who want to save money and meet other travelers. Otherwise there are better options out there.

This was the first hostel I’ve ever stayed at and it was a great experience. I traveled with 3 friends and we had a 4 bunk private room and worked out nicely for us. The storage shelves and plugs in the bunks are very helpful, there’s also a small mirror in each bunk. Blackout curtains were very helpful also. The pillows are pretty flat, so if you like a more full or firm pillow, bring one. In my opinion, the €10 full breakfast is overpriced for what you get, but it gets the job done. Super close to the metro and several restaurant options nearby.

4.5/5 The restaurant/bar and location tips the scales for this hostel. I stayed in 4 women bunk style with bathroom for the room. I was the oldest person in the room by far but it was clean, practical, and easy. There is a bakery next to the entry that is Amazing!!!! And reasonable. I felt safe and could easily navigate the city from this location. There were secured lockers in the basement for 9 euro a day - self locking system. Make sure you bring some drinks and snacks with you for late night because they don’t have anything on site. They give you pillow and blanket. It’s more expensive than others but for me, worth the price!!

Pros: excellent location of the hotel, friendly staff, everyone speaks good English. Of the minuses: in a room for several people, the hotel does not provide you with towels (my room cost 70 € per night, I naturally did not take a towel with me, its rental had to be paid separately, after I discovered its absence in the room). I didn't find a microwave in the guest kitchen. The rooms were not cleaned daily (in a room for 4 people this is necessary in my opinion). But the towel they offer you to rent is my personal top list of amazing things in hotels 😅

Book a private room with two bunk beds for a family of 4. I do see several family stay here too. It is the cheapest option I can get in Paris at the time of booking. The location is great, room is pretty basic but kids love it. I wish there is a small desk in the room and some basic amenities like clothes hangers and shampoo/shower gel but after all it is more like a youth hostel. The breakfast included in booking is good value but if you pay 10 euros at the hostel, you probably have a better option outside. They don't seem to have daily house keeping so we have to use the same towel for 4 nights. The breakfast restaurants's vibe is awesome.

I stayed in a 4 bed room and each bed had a privacy curtain and an underbed storage area that fit my large suitcase. The entire place was cleaned constantly throughout the day! Our room and the bathrooms were mopped regularly, the trash emptied, with the showers staying clean as well. The air did not work our first night, but it was fixed once we made the issue aware to staff. Check in was quick and you receive a digital key card for your room. The hostel is right by the metro making traveling around the city very easy. The staff were friendly and always downstairs if you needed them. Staff even helped/made suggestions on tourist attractions and the best days to do them. The breakfast in the morning is simple but very convenient. The bar downstairs has occasional events at night if you want to socialize with other guests and during the day is very relaxed if you just want to sit and chill.

Upsides: - The bedrooms are comfy and feel private, every bed as its own light, electricity, curtain. - The staff is polite and friendly. - There is a tasty bakery just next to the hostel. - The location feels safe and lots of buses/metros are around. Downsides: - The shower cuts off every 10-second. A very uncomfortable cost-saving solution. A shower as short as 3 minutes involves 20 cold cut offs, feels like fighting against the button not to catch cold, far from a relaxing moment 🤨 So happy that I stayed only one night. - The shared spaces are very small rooms behind a glass in the middle of the corridor - they look like aquariums similar to the smoking rooms in airports - it is the opposite of cozy, they most probably were added with the least effort possible in order to qualify as a hostel, they did not think them to enable social interactions.

My first hostel I ever stayed at, and it was overall a pretty great experience. The front desk is helpful, the rooms are relatively large with lockers, and the bar is nice as well. The bathrooms could be better, as they tended to get dirty quickly and there were only 3 stalls per gender per floor. I found people to be social in the kitchen and common rooms, if you're willing to be the first to speak! But in general, people who stayed in my dorm seemed to keep to themselves. The location is probably the best part, as you are staying at the edge of the trendy Marais neighborhood and are very close to the Seine as well. Overall a great experience, and I felt like the higher price compared to other Paris hostels was justified by the location!

Lovely place. The staff allowed us to check in slightly earlier as they saw our room was free. It is a small walk to many places in the area. Lockers are quite small but there are good curtains for bed areas. Common area is very beautiful and breakfast is impressive though somewhat expensive. An enjoyable stay!

Would give 3.5 instead of 3 if Google allowed. A decent well furnished hostel in a very good location. It's a bit overpriced for the amenities they have (which is none other than the bed). You pay extra for the breakfast, towel and padlock, and they don't have any shower gel in the showers. The staff was a bit clueless. Someone was using my locker and the staff couldn't figure out who or if there were any empty beds in my room I could switch to instead. I feel the number of washrooms is less compared to the crowd. I visited in November but I'm sure it'll get messy (and even more expensive) during peak seasons. There is a high end restaurant and bar inside the hostel which doesn't make sense to me since hostels usually cater to budget travellers. Also, not the most social hostel you'll visit. The kitchen area is probably the best bet for socialising, but the hostel is not cozy and built for socialising. Overall, choose it for the location, clean and well furnished rooms (no bedbugs, yay).

Good hostel but gets very hot in the rooms even when outdoor temp isn't very high. It would be solved easily by being able to fully open the windows, which would also allow places like the bathroom and bedrooms to be a little less musty when a lot of use. Otherwise it's quite nice for a hostel, and might be fine for winter.

A very nice hotel and hostel with a great atmosphere and in a perfect location. The restaurant on the second floor is lovely and relaxed. There are storage lockers in the basement (pay per hour for an individual locker) which is very convenient.

Walking distance to a metro station. Facilities are modern and very clean in general, but the shared kitchen can be further improved. Strict access control with keycard entry to floors, rooms and toilets. Paid lockers are available at the basement floor. Beds have curtains, good storage spaces, and fairly clean.

Staying here was such a joy! Even though it's a hostel, there was plenty of privacy. Clean rooms and bathrooms, amazing location, and kind service. The best hostel experience I've had!

  • 5/5 yair s. 7 months ago on Google
Had a really nice stay, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the dorm rooms are great, and they have fun activities in the bar (although mostly in French). Very nice location. One thing to improve is the showers that are automatically turned off every few seconds.

  • 5/5 Damiano B. 1 year ago on Google
I've stayed at the hostel for 4 nights and I couldn't ask for more. I haven't used the services except for the bar for an occasional coffee (they make a really good espresso). The room was really great and even if shared it felt like it maintained a good amount of privacy. The staff has been great all around, especially the two girls i almost always found at the reception. The only two downsides i may point are the showers that are definitely not relaxing and the fact that i found many Italian guests during my stay and no one in the staff that speaks Italian, which is not a problem for me, but it might for others.

A very large hostel. The staff are excellent, the kitchens are copious, and the place is quite clean. Not a bad walk from the metro station, and fine sights within walking distance. Breakfast is a bit weak for the price. The bar and cafe attached to the hostel is a beautiful gallery of glass and plants, overlooking the street below.

  • 5/5 K B. 1 year ago on Google
I had a fantastic experience at this hostel. It is on a quiet but fully lit street just down from a busy area, so I felt very safe. The whole place is modern and my room (4 bed female-only dorm) was spotless. I was lucky that my dorm mates were friendly and clean also. I was really impressed at the quality of the pillow and duvet, the blackout curtains, dimmable light, small locker and mirror in the bunks were nice additions. I would recommend bringing a small lock if you need to lock away bigger possessions as these aren’t provided. The dining room is stunning, breakfast had everything you could need. My only improvement would be to suggest a full-length mirror on the back of the door, but this is a luxury! It is also very warm and I was staying in February, so maybe consider this for a summer stay. Thank you to the lovely staff at People Paris too.

I stayed in a dormitory room, and it went well. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accessible. My bed was SO comfortable, and there were very secure curtains covering my bunk, which offered a lot of privacy. Even though I was technically in a mixed dorm, there were only other women in my room, which added to my comfort. It was quiet, and I slept well.

Definitely feels like it could do with a deep clean. Lacking a sufficient chillout space. The designated recreational rooms are cramped, much like the rest of the hostel. Staff were, however, friendly and helpful. Rooms were fit for purpose and beds clean with their own curtains for privacy. Was not rowdy and had no trouble sleeping. Location amazing! Could get everywhere I wished by foot. Would recommend on basis of location. Perhaps given higher price you would hope for a little more is all.

The location was right in front of the subway station, so the transportation was good, and the accommodation was very clean. There was also a curtain, so privacy was protected, so it felt like a capsule hotel. I had a very happy time.
