    The shipwrecked Arion is saved from drowning by a dolphin belonging to the god Apollo. The French sculptor Barthélemy Guibal originally created this group of figures for the castle gardens of Lunéville. Elector Carl Theodor acquired the bronze figures in 1766 and had them brought from France to Schwetzingen.
