I’ve stayed at this property several times. They do not honor elite welcome benefits. Twice they have not offered me my 1,000 point welcome bonus as a platinum elite or higher. Marriott’s elite welcome bonus guarantee states that I am entitled to $100 if they do not provide the welcome bonus option. The manager has not responded to this case. There are other Marriott’s in the area to take my business to.

Fabulous location in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable and a multi-year renovation of the property has begun (as of June 2023). Amenities aren't really up to Marriott standards but it's hard to beat the location. I would stay here again for a reasonable rate but I would not pay a premium until the renovation is completed.

Staff were absolutely nice & went above & beyond for us. They sent birthday cake slices & a card up to my room. They checked the whole weekend to see if we needed anything. Enjoyed our stay, greatjob Marriott! Great location walking distance to restaurants, shopping , banks, bars!

Great location and staff. Rooms are great but you will hear surrounding noise. Location is great and staff is top notch. Continues to be my home away from home for Phoemix work! Thank you all!

Very accommodating! Friendly and location is perfect. Rooms are dated but all the amenities of a good hotel. Like the pool and how it was not so busy to rush and get a spot

I was extremely surprised how great and convenient this hotel is. It’s all suites, and they are the large 2-roomed ones with locking French doors, separating the bedroom and living area. The bathroom is shared between both the living room and bedroom, with sectioned off doors for more privacy, which is perfect for a family (adults in one room) and kinds in another, without having to bother each other. Decor was modern and refreshed, without losing the Southwest, Arizona thematics. This is definitely well-appealing for out of state tourists. Check-in with Angelo was efficient and warm. He offered me chilled water and went through property amenities. He even suggested items on the hotels’ dining menu. Angelo was the perfect start to my stay, Convenience is awesome with this hotel, being walking distance to both Scottsdale Old Town, Riverfront, and major malls like Fashion Square. Highly recommend this hotel for a Scottsdale vacation!

It was an AMAZING experience we had at this hotel.  First of all it's a beautiful hotel, the location is right in the middle of DT Scottsdale and once you walk out, you have restaurants, bars, shopping all within walking distance. We would like to thank Connie at the front desk for the UNBELIEVABLE service she provided us during our stay.  She truly went above and beyond to make it a magical stay for us, thank you so much Connie. Emanuelle and Lory at the bar/restaurant were also so nice and helpful with a big smile, that sangria was to die for! They have a great gym, the pool is nice, they also provide bikes for you to use at no charge. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay

This place is the best location to Old Town. We parked our car and walked everywhere. I wasn’t hesitant to book here with all the amazing places to stay but if we come back I will definitely stay there. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the bar in the lobby has the best espresso martinis and breakfast is tasty as well.

There's an intelligent, young man named Tyler that works front desk at this location that will give you the best check-in service in the nation. I checked-in to the hotel last week and had a wonderful conversation with Tyler about the joys of proper hospitality. This young man with an old soul couldn't have been more educated and courteous. I called in to the hotel today and was lucky enough to be greeted by Tyler on the phone. Not only did he remember me, he remembered my travel companion and was able to quickly look up our stay and satisfy my request of sending me my hotel folio for business expense. If you're in the area and value hospitality choose this hotel for outstanding service. Thanks for such a memorable experience, Tyler. - Paul

Great location in downtown Scottsdale. Rooms are a little tired, but clean. Heard live music from the street until late at night through the apparently thin windows. Bar was understaffed but the servers were working hard with a great attitude. Might choose a less expensive hotel next trip hoping for better rooms.

worst marriott I’ve ever stayed at. place is run down there were 2 live moths in my room and it’s worn down. normally a die hard marriott fan and the staff is very friendly bed is soft but it is an OLD hotel. needs a remodel badly.

The Hotel offers amazing perks, the added destination fee is a wonderful perk and definitely a added benefit especially for corporate travelers! However I felt like a moth bandit the entire time I was in my room. Without any exaggeration I killed at least 8 moths during my stay. I am not sure if there was a problem as my windows and the balcony door were shut I have no clue where they were coming from and is the only reason my rating for the room was low. Aside from that my stay was amazing I hope they fix the moth issue as I would love to stay here again in the future!

At 8:00 AM on Saturday, I woke up to constructions on the second floor. I called the customer service and was advised there is nothing she can do, they’re doing some renovations. She literally advising me to go to other hotel.

The only small thing that we didn't enjoy was the internal-to-the-hotel jackhammering (at least that was what it sounded like) occurring a couple days. (It started an hour or so AFTER we awakened, thank goodness!) Otherwise it was an excellent accommodation!

Wow! Had reservations at the W hotel but decided last minute to change to this Marriott because the Ws reviews talked about the noise - party hotel. We have stayed at JW years ago but it was booked. Thank goodness!! This hotel is walking distance to so many great resteraunts and stores (Neimans, Sachs). We would get up in the morning and sign out the hotels fabulous bikes and ride through the quaint store area to the canal path. We would take the path 1-1/2 miles to play pickle ball. On the ride back we would stop for lunch at one of the fun cafes. We also walked to the Western Museum, which was very interesting. We stayed at marriott resorts over 100 nights last year and this was one of our favorites due to location. Highly recommend!

It's a Marriott! We usually stay at Courtyards and Residence Inns, but this trip we were on points so what the hey? The room was great, but I'm Gold so maybe I got upgraded. The place didn't seem to be exactly busy, so availability for upgrades wasn't a problem. Can't complain about the service, but we didn't need a lot. A bellman came and helped with our luggage, both in and out. There was a restaurant for breakfast. We're accustomed to a light breakfast, and they didn't charge us the astronomical hotel fare for the full buffet, only a reasonable amount for a bagel, coffee, and orange juice. The underground parking garage was pretty empty on both Monday night and Friday night, so I guess this hotel doesn't get a lot of business travelers. It's pretty close to Old Town Scottsdale, so there are good restaurants nearby. The front desk can call you a golf cart for your dinner reservation, which is kinda fun. All in all, we recommend it and will stay there again on our road trips from Albuquerque to Los Angeles.

Great location next to old Town. Nice hotel. Friendly service. Rooms and common areas a little worn for the price of the room.

We had a death in the family (aunt) and had to cancel our room two days prior to our arrival. I called the hotel and was told we wouldn’t be charged for the first nights stay. Unfortunately they have charged our credit card anyway. Keeping your word is important.

Shockingly bad experience with this hotel manager: I verified twice before checkout that my personal credit card for incidentals was not the card to be billed, as it was a company hotel on the pre-arranged company card. Despite my extra efforts to clearly communicate this, the hotel charged my personal card for the stay. (~$2700). I reached out to this hotel once I saw the charges and the manager said she would get back to me right away. Surprisingly she didn’t call back and I called her back late the next day. After already wasting an hour of my time on hold, being transferred, etc. the manager promised that the charges would be removed within 3-5 business days. That was almost 3 weeks ago (a month since I checked out of the hotel) and they have not fixed the charges. I have called back numerous times and they don’t seem to care or call back. The lack of accountability is surprising. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company now. This hotel stay was a gift that keeps on giving with extra work to get inaccurate charges (to the tune of $2700) removed. Previously I had given this hotel a reasonably good review due to nice housekeeping staff. Unfortunately, my experience with a complete lack of follow through or respect from the general manager is promoting this follow up review. My hope is that this review is a warning to others to potentially book elsewhere unless you don’t mind following up numerous times to rectify inaccurate charges. (Still not resolved as of this writing and 27 days after checkout)

Middle of a renovation so that means you will have constant loud, vibrating noise throughout your entire room all day! It is so loud that you cannot enjoy the TV, phone calls, or normal conversation. The staff was extremely rude on trying to explain this and say “well there are signs posted.” The hotel room was extremely dated and could also use refresh since they’re renovating. Might as well do that since you’re troubling the guests. My room is literally shaking/vibrating as I’m writing this review. One great plus is Erin walking distance to several restaurants and shops.

Loved visiting this establishment, very convenient location, although I had to drive from 91st Ave and W bell rd. To this hotel, 125 really doesn't seem that fast when you are in a hurry to get somewhere. No bull#@$%.

On the positive - great location, roomy suites, and friendly staff. On the downside, every time I've stayed here (currently on my 3rd), the temperature is uncomfortably warm (which in the Phoenix summer isn't good). The temperature in the rooms seems to be set to go no lower than 70, clearly whomever controls this has never experienced hot flashes.....just sayin. Worse though is the temperature in the bar that cannot be anything LOWER than 85. Tonight I sat next to several that complained about the temperature and watched the staff who were clearly uncomfortable (and yet no less courteous). I hope this review is read and the situation rectified, or I will have to find another hotel. If this is fixed I'll definitely amend this review.

We hosted our wedding in Old Town Scottsdale and stayed at the hotel a month ago while we were finalizing our plans. I can say that all our interactions with the staff from housekeeping, the servers, and the front desk were exceptionally courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. This solidified our decision to recommend and hold a room block for our wedding at the hotel for some of our guests. Our Room Block Coordinator provided great service as we closed on our wedding day and easing any worries about our guests having an outstanding visit. From providing an updated list of registered guests, to handling last minute questions, to helping to coordinate delivery of our welcome bags. The location of the hotel is perfect for all Old Town Activities.

I’ve stayed here many times. The rooms are spacious and the ac works well. The staff is attentive and I regularly see managers stepping in to help out (good management) I usually try to venture out from the hotel for meals, but the bar/restaurant here has excellent food and a descent draught beer selection. I’m a big fan of the fried polenta. The only shortfall is the gym. It is rather small and includes the basics such as treadmills, bikes, a cable weight station and dumbbells. Due to the size of the gym it can be a tight fit when busy.

Might have given about 3 stars before this evening. Tired old dame with some spacious rooms, good deals and a couple of exceptionally decent folks in the restaurant. Most horrendous experience of my life this evening, however. I am Ambassador, have been staying in Marriotts for 28 months straight now. Two children with me, one a somewhat troubled 12 year old girl. Hid yesterday after doing some bad stuff, refused to come upstairs once found, called staff to let her sit there until she calmed down. Staff called police instead, accusing me of abusing child. Police came, no harm no foul, kid came upstairs. Child hides next again day after fighting with brother. One hour, almost two, now worried. Alert staff to ask where she might be hiding, told to leave hotel. IMMEDIATELY! Four more hours before child reappears, staff won't permit me to look inside, cop cars all over. Overcharge on bill for good work. I understand the need for discretion. But kicking out a dad with two kids,, five weeks of reservations and no place to go? Wow! Cops hung in there, though

Overall this is a good property. It’s right at the base of Old Town Scottsdale so you can leave your car parked and walk to anything you want around here. It’s very centrally located. The rooms are big and I like the separate living/bedroom areas. It’s got a nice outdoor sitting area for nights where it’s not 110 degrees. The only negative is the coffee shop is silly expensive. $5 for a grande regular cup of coffee. I don’t know why but that annoys me. Other than that it’s a very nice hotel.

Great downtown location. A little dated like other reviews mentioned. Would recommend training staff on how to be more engaging and hospitable. I think they were playing on their phones during their hospitality class. Either that, or hire some kids that actually need the job and take some pride in why they are there. Would give 3.5 stars if I could.

The hotel rooms were clean, but very outdated. It felt like you were staying in a low level hotel. The “suites” were underwhelming and beds were not king sized. The suite with a view was not impressive and they over charged for parking based upon the rate on the Marriott app. Staff was friendly and accommodated as best as they could. Parking was easy, and location was walking distance to shops and old town restaurants.

Very nice experience. Staff was friendly and professional. Rooms are clean as expected at a Marriott property. The location is superb for exploring Old Town Scottsdale! Walking distance to many restaurants, bars and things worth seeing. Pool area was pretty nice as well.

Location is perfect for access to old Scottsdale. Everything is with a 10 minute walk. Staff friendly and helpful. Gym is decent with multiple pieces of cardio equipment. Pool good. Not a huge pool but not a problem to get a spot with an umbrella when we visited. Didn’t use restaurant. Rooms are good size and clean. A little dated decor but overall just fine. I would gladly stay here again.
