Great place to take the kids, as they can have their little beach on the big beach! Also close enough to watch the big kids ride the waves and view the open ocean! Restrooms under the pier and parking are just steps away.

Seal beach pier and the grassy areas and benches everywhere make it a welcoming beautiful ocean view that create a wonderful place to relax with friends and family. On Wednesday nights they have wonderful concerts. We went tonight to an Eagles concert with great acoustics with a vibrant band. The joy was to see everyone of all ages dancing and singing and enjoying themselves. (The park was filled with blankets and chairs and happy dogs meeting other dogs. Can’t wait to go to the next event. Go enjoy yourself and help support this cozy, wonderful city.

Amazing place and quiet, we go at night to observe The super blue Moon and we spare a beautiful family time there.

I love walking on the pier. Fun to see people fishing. So many families and friends taking a special moment to enjoy the pier and beach. The restroom is located under the pier... follow the down ramp at the beginning of pier. People are friendly here...feels very safe. Always an amazing breeze with lots of birds. Also have liked seeing oil rig workers being picked up or dropped off by the Service boat.

Seal Beach is the perfect location if you are wanting to enjoy the beach without the crowds. I love it here because it is so laid back and low key. Sunsets are always spectacular as well!!

Great little play area. My daughter loved it. Unfortunately while sliding down one of the slides she was stung by a bee.its located near the life gaurd station and they where great help getting the swelling down. And making sure she didn't have an allergic reaction. Beach was not to crowded big waves at times.

The beach was nice, water was warm even in the evening. Parking is $4 in the lot but I believe street parking is free.

Beautiful sunset. Plenty of street parking along the beach just half a block away. We chose to settle down here south of the pier so we can a picture of the sunset with the pier!

What’s better than a playground at the beach. There’s enough space for multiple families to play at the same time. If it gets too crowded, we play in the sand or walk on the pier.

Been coming here for over 13 years, and is one of our faves. Easy parking, the gates keeps the kids from running out. Bathrooms, showers are clean-ish. Beautiful views at sunset.

A nice playground next to Seal Beach. When we went on Christmas Day, there was plenty of parking in the parking lot. The parking was actually rather affordable, $4/hr. The beach was not too busy. A lot of the nearby stores were closed for the holiday. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon while on vacation in LA.

Very nice pier & playground area. Will definitely return when the weather is warmer. My grandkids would really enjoy the playground. Main St with all the restaurants isn't very far. We really enjoyed the quaintness of this beach town. Great for families.

One of my favorite spots to spend time with my daughter. She enjoyed the playground, flying kites, swimming, then eventually skimboarding the south side of the pier. One thing we always did through years was to make sure and say hello to “Slick”. Slick was always there to greet you as you enter the pier. If you sea him, pet his nose for good luck and say hi for us!

Plenty of available parking (metered). The beach was awesome, playground by the pier. Restrooms were as good as could be expected. Would definitely visit again.

Good place to gather some positive ions... would be nice to have some restaurant back at the end of the pier.

I walked the pier, enjoyed the breeze and lovely views - take an hour or more & enjoy this lovely area!

This beach is very clean! I could walk out quite far without seaweed or garbage in the water. People were respectful of social distancing, which I appreciated very much with two small children! Lastly my daughter absolutely loves seeing the giant ships in the distance. We didn't stop to play in the playground (too many kids in the area for my comfort), but it was kept clean as well and looked entertaining for the little ones. 🙂

Visited one of my childhood destinations. Visually, lots had change for the better. Tourism is the main focus in Seal Beach. This picture is an example of current upgrading. Their were no warnings back in the early 80s. Now, situational awareness around the California coast. It's still a great pier.

Only was able to go at night, so no daylight pics. Night was so wonderful. There is a lot of trash though, :( so please bring trash bags to help clean up. The pier is amazing with benches at multiple places along it. The restaurants all around looked great but were all closed around 9pm. Also, for extra protection, the police station is right there. Hope you enjoy!
