We have always had a good experience with Best Western, however this hotel really missed the mark. When we checked in, our sheets and pillowcases had weird stains on them. We didn't notice until the following morning when we pulled the top cover off and flipped the pillows over. (Gross.) We told the front desk at 8am, and we were told they would be changed promptly. At 1pm, we came back to the room, and the sheets still hadn't been changed. When we went back to the front desk and asked them to change the sheets for the second time, the person said they had taken notes and it would be taken care of as soon as possible. At 4pm, we went back to the room to change to go to the pool, and the sheets still had not been changed. We went back to the front desk with a dirty pillow and asked for clean sheets for the 3rd time. When we returned at 8pm, we FINALLY had clean sheets. Having clean sheets seems like the bare minimum at a hotel, and we shouldn't have been required to go to the front desk 3 times and speak to 3 different employees. Disappointing and gross.

We have never had any problems with Best Western, as they're usually a "top-notch" hotel - 5 Stars. This Review is accurate like the rest of the companies I review. We arrived at the hotel, and we did reserve a room with a queen-size bed, but ended up having a full-size bed in the small room that we had. We checked both doors inside the room. One door led to the other room, and the bathroom door seemed to be locked. We went down to the front desk, and they sent one of their staff members up to assist with getting the bathroom door unlocked. The bathroom door wasn't locked, it was just stuck and the knob had to be wiggled a bit to get it open. There were no jet-streams in the jacuzzi... as it was just hot water, and the pool was nice afterwards. The whole stay, for 1 night on May 31st, right before the rates went up (June 1st) was worth it. Even if someone pays up to $150 a night for a room - it would be worth it. They should just adjust their room prices though to the size of the room, and also they should offer some type of small breakfast for free. However, we felt a little like sardines in a box, and only had coffee there... but, other than that - it was still a great hotel to stay at.

I will never get back to that hotel again. The manager and the staff were very rude. Our room was a super small internal room, and I went to talk to them, the staff said it is what it is, check out if you want! And the manager who was a gentleman, came and aggressively told me he is not going to do anything about the size of the room, cleanliness, the fact that there was no window outside, and that there is nothing, not even a small couch in the room. My lungs hurt after staying in the for a couple of nights, only. I don't know what bothered me more, the unprofessional and rude staff, or the low quality of services. I didn't pay less than a normal hotel. The cost of living has gone high in the US and I paid more than usual. But the staff treated me like there is a big competition and capitalism is going on and I need to compete, to win. My advice is that, do not lower yourself to their level, do not go to this hotel.

Wonderful hotel right on the beach. Our room was on the 4th floor (414) and had a full balcony with views of the beach looking north. We could also see the prom as it goes north. The room had 2 queen beds and was very comfortable. There was no air-conditioning as it doesn't get hot enough on the coast for that very often, but there were 2 fans that were rather noisy. One had separated from its base and had to lean against something or it would fall over. We kept the other one on all the time and used the leaner to bring in cool ocean air in the morning to cool the room down. The facilities are very nice and kept clean. Tea and coffee are always available in the lobby. The pool and hot tub looked nice but were always busy, so we did not use them. We had a bad experience with the on site restaurant, so I can't recommend them, but there are a lot of other places to eat within walking distance. In fact, the whole town is within walking distance which makes this hotel one of the best places to stay in Seaside.

Excellent hotel. Nice large room with balcony and kitchenette. Very friendly staff and wonderful winter special rates. Easy walk to all restaurants and very easy beach access. Very dog friendly. (Ask for pet friendly room $25/night). We had to cut our stay one night because our dog had an issue that required us to get her back to the vet. The hotel staff said it was not a problem and even offered help with our dog. We will definitely return her.

I have nothing but positive things to say about our stay at Best Western Plus Ocean View Resort in Seaside. For starters, our room was double booked one of our nights- Mark called and helped us fix the issue promptly while en route. We met Ulrich at the hotel front desk, and he was friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in. The two rooms we stayed in were both comfortable and well-maintained, offering beautiful ocean views. The location is perfect, close to the beach, boardwalk, and many local attractions. Overall, a great choice for a relaxing seaside getaway. Highly recommend!!

I booked a two-day stay at this hotel with my family and I thought it was going to be a fine stay as I have stayed at other Best Western hotels and had a great experience. Unfortunately though, I am sad to report that I was disappointed by this hotel on so many accounts. First of all, the moment I got there to check in, I was told that the hotel didn't accept any other pets besides dogs, YET when we reserved the room and told the man that we'd be bringing a cat with us, they didn't say anything bad. Along with that, nowhere on their website does it say anything about them accepting dogs only. When I brought this up to the man checking us in, he did admit that we were right and somehow let us still stay. The whole entire stay though I felt like we were being treated as if we were dirty because we brought a cat with us. Room service never came to check if we needed fresh towels or our trash taken out or anything of the sort. Along with this, every staff member we came into contact with at the hotel was extremely rude and had a negative attitude. Please stop saying you are a pet friendly hotel if you do not accept cats or any other animals besides dog. That's NOT pet friendly. I am truly failing to see how my quiet cat is more of a hazardous animal for a hotel than a dog who can potentially track in feces from outside or pounce on a customer. Secondly, this place really needs to be cleaned better. Upon entering the hotel room, there was a faint musty smell. When I looked under the beds as well, I could see that they certainly do not clean there. There was dried up food and dust everywhere. When I decided to use the pool during my stay there, the pool water looked dirty and like it wasn't filtered. I won't be staying here again and I don't recommend this place to anyone else. There are far better places along the Seaside Promenade that you could stay at.

Don't get here late at night, there is limited parking. The best spots are "coned off" for employee of the month. Its under construction, so you will get woke up early in the morning by beeping alarms from large fork lifts, which are taking up space in the parking lot. Rooms are small, you will need to leave your bathroom door closed as the ventilation system roars 24 hours a day, you can't turn it off. In house restaurant is expensive, baked goods didn't look good, you'd be better off choosing another coffee shop besides this one. No one was in there, that should have been our first clue. Right on the beach, good location that is their only good point. I'd pass, there appears to be other options. I wanted to leave the first night we got here, unfortunately we made an appt to see a friend and have to spend 2 more nights here. Did find one thing that was good, the magnetic keys worked for all 3 days, normally they shut you off every night in most other places.

A romantic getaway was completely ruined by staying at this hotel. Nothing about this place qualifies it as a resort. As others have mentioned, the renovations are incredibly disruptive and start well before the posted quiet hours. This hotel caters more to families than couples or business stays; there were children screaming in the rooms, throughout the hallways, and off the balconies at all hours of the morning, day, and night. This is also NOT a smoke-free property - people smoke right outside the doors, and it wafts throughout the lobby and in through the balcony windows. The rooms do not have AC and we actually had to switch the ceiling fan to push air down instead of up for any kind of comfort. We were not informed that we got a discount from the cafe by 1) being a guest at the hotel and 2) being a rewards member. We paid full price ($40) for food that we had to throw away - everything tasted like it came from the frozen section of a chain grocery store. My dog wouldn't even touch the burger. When we told the front desk of our dissatisfaction with the stay, we were commended for being "brave women willing to go into the ocean" and given a complimentary bottle of water. No actual effort was made to end our stay on a good note, and even the canned response from the GM regarding our survey response shows this hotel does not care about the quality of guest stays. At all. Save yourself the grief and spend your vacation money elsewhere.

We REALLY love this hotel. Unfortunately, so do people with small dogs that bark from 6 am until midnight. No biggie, but it got annoying at times. Complaints aside, this hotel is managed extremely well. They run a tight ship here. Everything is cleaned daily, and they even called to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We would definitely come back.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by Bianca at reception and I have never met someone who was as kind and enthusiastic as she was. She had a conversation with us while checking in and truly made us feel welcomed. Our room was right by the beach. Unfortunately I didn't get the ocean view but it was not a big deal. The fact we were walking distance made up for it. Our room was tiny (it connected to the ocean view room next door) but didn't mind it either since we were only there to sleep. We were out and about the two days we were there. I will definitely sleep here again next time we come to Seaside. Dog friendly. the only downside is not all rooms have A/C so if that's a deal breaker I'd call to double check your room has one.

The staff really made our stay. Originally, we were only going to pop in to stay for a night and be out early the next morning. Our room had a mini kitchen, electric fireplace and an ocean view for "cheap" as hotels go. We were greeted by happy faces and one of the sweet ladies at the desk paying compliments as people came and went. Coffee was always hot and fresh, everything was clean and smelled fresh. Everyone seemed happy and positive to be there. We ended up booking another night because we had such a great time. Would highly recommend and would absolutely go back again. AND it's pet friendly, without looking and smelly like a kennelπŸ‘Thanks for starting off our Oregon roadtrip so wonderfully Austin and Betty!!

Great location with wonderful staff. The food at the cafe is tasty and the ladies there are so welcoming. The room was decent but cleanliness was not there. I had to wipe down the pull down bed because it was covered in thick dust, food crumbs, and god knows what else. I found hair (not mine) in the fresh towels and on bed sheets. Garden/patios on first floor are full of garbage.

Such a cute hotel! My family and I enjoyed our stay here, it was comfy, clean and we loved the pool! I loved the fireplace in our room and I also love the small windows above the sliding glass door on the ground floor rooms for a nice breeze at night. Will definitely stay here again! Not a far walk from the main strip at seaside, you're right next to the beach and the aquarium is a short walk ❀️

Clean, pet-friendly rooms. Most of the hotels on The Prom are very dated but the BW Ocean View Resort has done a good job updating their rooms and the the lobby so that it doesn’t feel like you’ve stepped back into 1985. Easy beach access is a plus. It is the farthest north hotel on The Prom but is still a walkable distance to the main area of shopping and restaurants. Overall, it’s a great hotel option in Seaside!

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. Me and my girlfriend decided to go on an impromptu visit to Seaside and I booked a room at this hotel. We loved it so much we decided to stay a second night. All the staff was super friendly (especially the front desk) and the attached restaurant was really good. Affordable compared to some of the other beachfront hotels and right on the beach. Close enough to walk to the main strip of shops but far enough away so that the area right around the hotel wasn’t overcrowded. We stayed in two different rooms. The beach view and the partial beach view and both were spacious and comfortable and stairs are conveniently located in three different parts of the building to make it easy to get up and down. We will definitely be returning next time we come to Seaside and will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family who travel here too!

Beautiful view but I ran into too many issues. For $400 plus a night, I expected FAR better. Was offered and scheduled a light clean but they just dropped off towels. Had to track down housekeeping for paper products. Shower was clogged. Recycling and trash never were picked up. Worse yet, had a security issue of some scary people harassing my family to the point we felt unsafe. It was terrifying so we left the area and stayed our room that night. I let the hotel know but do not think it was addressed.

Awesome hotel, great value for money. Room was very clean and the property felt safe. We arrived late in the evening and the lady working at the front desk was friendly, funny, and helpful. It was a chilly night so we were offered a free upgrade to a room that was not in the open-air area of the hotel. We faced north and had a terrific view of the coastline.

I brought my daughter here to celebrate her 16th Birthday!. We had a blast. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful. The first night Bianca checked us in. She was very friendly and had a great personality. We wanted a late check out the following day, and she was happy to assist. The next morning, we decided to stay another night. The manager assisted me with this and gave a great rate. We really enjoyed staying here.

Rooms are well-appointed. Location is terrific - right in town, but away from the bustle. Front desk reps are very friendly and helpful. The only downside (which I'm sure will be rectified) is that the refrigerator didn't work and it wasn't fixed or replaced during my 3 day stay. I would stay again.

Loved staying here. We had a nice pet friendly room looking out on the beach and the staff were very nice. When you stay in the beach side you're farther away from your car for getting your luggage to your room, not it's worth it.

The BEST experience I have ever had! The Front desk has amazing staff! They called me while I was on my way to make sure everything was going well. There was bad weather, and they knew I was checking in late. The housekeeping was fantastic! The banquet people were so kind and accommodating! The rooms were fabulous! Worth every penny! I have a favorite place to stay already-but this is a very close runner up! My only complaint is there are no signs for the stairs-their elevator is VERY thorough!

Very nice beach front hotel right off the boardwalk (which will take you to stores and restaurants a short walk away). Friendly staff and our room was nice and spacious. Decent partial view of the ocean. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Only real downside was the lack of a/c. The windows in the room only open up a few inches, not really enough for a breeze. A fan would be nice! Would gladly stay here again.

The room is very clean. The staff is exceptionally pleasant. From calling to confirm our arrival, to check in , showed my grandson the pool while I was checking. Cafe was great! Good food, good presentation and good service. The location is centralized enough but not center of town and steps to the beach. Only draw back was the bathroom toilet but maintenance called to fix it while we were away. Overall great experience. Highly recommend. Beds are comfy and a fan was in the room. Ocean view room is a must!

Priced well, very handicapped friendly, dog friendly, great bacon and baked goods in the cafe, coffee and alcoholic drinks available, great location to be very near the attractions but not right in the middle of the noise and hustle. We got a floor level room which doesn't have a view but it has great people and dog watching as it's on the promenade and works well for my dog and my handicapped needs. I can only speak to my experience in room 107... Only downsides: the room's floor was sandy and covered in dog hair when we got there, run the fan and crack the window above the sliding glass door as there is a moisture issue, the shower and bathroom floor and bathroom door have cosmetic water damage. Luckily, I detected no mold issues. I'm very allergic and I was good. None of these issues would keep me from booking again but they do warrant the four stars instead of five. They are working on the outside of the building so I'm sure they will sort out the issues in the room. Travel safely!

Really enjoyed our stay here. We got in very late and the ladies at the front were wonderful. They got us checked in and settled quickly and we were able to get a good night's rest. Rooms were clean, staff was great both on check in and check out. Very conveniently located. Would stay again.

Let me say this place is great. We went here in late September for a funeral. And upon check in, we were greeted by the most friendly people. When we got to the room it was great. Didn't take pictures because we forgot. But what a great view and room. Super clean. And the cafe downstairs was super nice and so good. ( try the blueberry pancakes) we come a lot and the place we stay at was not available at the time. Well now we found the place we will be going anytime we go see the family. Thank you.

Four stars for the location, right on the beach, facing the beautiful ocean! clean and average rooms, kitchenette was very handy, as I like to put together my own meals some times. Basic amenities and dated building. Good value for the money!

I will begin by saying that this is not a resort, nor is it worth $300/night hotel. I had higher expectations for the cost. The room was fine, nothing fancy. There is not an in-room safe. There was not a screen on the sliding glass door or on the window above it. So much for fresh air. The sliding glass door handle did not lock. There was another style of lock that you fold down, but this was also damaged. It would not stay in place. One of the two dryers does not work. You have to look carefully for the packaging tape across the door. An "out of order" sign" would be asking too much. The gym was nice. There was no spray bottle to disinfect the equipment, even though the sign on the door ask you to disinfect. One of the TVs was stuck on the same channel my whole stay. The remote only turned the tv on/off. The other TV would not turn on at all. We reported this to the front desk. Someone came up to look into this. He gave up after five minutes. All hand sanitizers that we attempted to use were empty. The TV that greets you was you walk in had the wrong date, time, and weather for our whole stay.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Amazing view and great location. We had a suit with jacuzzi tub in our room with a view. So relaxing! Only complaint I have is that the entry into and out of the jacuzzi tub is set up very strange and slightly dangerous, it's very difficult climbing around on wet slippery tiles to get out.

  • 5/5 Christopher M. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed for 4 nights in a king room with jetted tub. Had a great view of the ocean and was clean. Check-in was easy and friendly. Close to the main strip to walk and shop. The jetted tub was nice to hang out in. It has tiny nozzles that blow air into the tub. The blower is a little loud but not bad. Was very relaxing after a day of exploring. Hot water never ran out when filling. Room had a connecting room and sounds travelled easily through the door but other than that didn't hear much from other rooms.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would!! Beautiful views super clean spacious rooms with hands down the absolute best staff i have ever encountered!!! Their attention to detail, supplies of literally everything you need is amazing!! And the staff... oh the staff is so amazing, friendly, and so responsive! I absolutely love this hotel and will definitely stay here again and again!!!

Friendly, affordable, clean, comfortable, and great location! This was a last minute booking, and they were able to accommodate me. The cafe downstairs is good and provides a discount with a room key. They're also pet friendly, though I don't have a pet. Would definitely recommend!

Great location on the beach with quick access, nice hot tub jacuzzi. The configuration of the bathroom with shower stall and toilet was awkward - the shower faucet was inside the glass door such that you had to be standing under the shower to turn it on, and this one is one that has to be turned in a circle from cold to hot, so of course you get hit with cold water immediately before it warms up. The push panel outside the bathroom door turned the light on and off, but nothing I could find would activate the bathroom fan. The fireplace looked pretty at night, but no heat.

We ended up at Best Western after seeing our horrific rooms at Shiloh, If you see that review you'll understand why we ended up at Best Western. We happened to come here on a major convention day and rooms were limited. However, we called them up. They got us right in. They gave us a beautiful room. The staff was professional and well dressed. The view on the balcony was fantastic. The beds were so soft. We had a room complete with a stove, full refrigerator, pans for cooking and a dishwasher. Everything we could need. Next time I won't even question going to Shiloh. I'll just go to Best Western! Best Western fan for sure. Thank you for saving my weekend!

Everything was adequate. Enjoyed the view. Rooms were good. We had taken on arrival we checked it out our, for we stayed two nights. The hot tub was slimy green on the tiles. We complained at the desk. Next day same. On our day of leaving they had put something in the water to clean it, but the tiles still icky. Told front desk again at checkout. Would have liked a compensation, for we were counting on a hot tub experience .

This is on the boardwalk with spectacular views of the ocean. The kitchenette was well stocked. Our room had an electric fireplace! The indoor pool is a little cool in temperature. The hot tub is very HOT!
