A rare gem, very quiet green spaces perfect for picnicking with great views of the canal and the locks. Looping walking paths are nice for a stroll. Very cool trees and plants, well-marked so you can tell what they are: oak, sequoia, eucalyptus, palm. And only one homeless person camping on the lawn ...

Beautiful trees & flowers next to & overlooking the Locks. Good restroom facilities. An educational experience & fun time can be had. Will be even better when the renovation of the salmon ladder exhibit is completed.

Walk around for a bit for free enjoying the flowers, trees, open spaces, benches, runs along the water, plenty of cheap parking nearby. Definitely worth a 30 minute stop

It's so lovely and clean here. I'm shocked at how wonderful a place it is. You can see salmon during mating season, sit by the water and spot seals, tour the pretty plants, and picnic quietly. I love it so much I want to live here ~ 🩵

Quick little walk from our place. Stroll around this beautiful botanical garden, mosey over to the Salmon steps and check then check out the locks. What's not to like

Such a great spot for an afternoon walk. We enjoyed strolling around the botanical park and also watching the locks! Gorgeous spot right along the water.

Small garden with a loop that overlooks the locks. Free guided tour at 1 and 3. Not many exotic plants, mostly just flowers.

Nice location for a sunny days walk. Felt safe . Beautiful flora and it’s right next to the loch so you might spot a seal or two. Security guards are friendly. Definitely will come back

It's a pretty, well designed, and cool place to wander on a hot day. And its a nice contrast to all of the tech in the adjacent locks and fish ladder. However, there's too little signage for visitors to learn much about the plants. So it works beautifully as a nice green park, less so for education.

This park is beautiful clean and has plenty of shady spots to lay down and read or talk with friends. I love this park so much! It’s exactly what I want in a city park. You can also watch boats go by since it’s on the Ballard locks so cool :)

Beautiful park with a wonderful view. We saw some creepy spiders in the trees with iridescent webs shining in the sunlight, we saw wonderful plants and trees, and we even saw a wild rabbit! Our daughter loved seeing the bunny.

Beautiful place right next to the Ballard Locks. Would probably have been better if it was not a rainy day but the garden itself is well maintained and beautiful.

It’s the first time I come to here in October . Those flowers are so beautiful, sunshine is shining.

So worth a visit. Lovely trees and blooms. Also a visitor centre and nearby interesting water attractions. Take bus 40 and get to Ballard.

Just a few steps beyond the Ballard Locks is this Beautiful garden, and landscaped grounds to sit on a bench, or have a picnic on a blanket.
