The food and location are excellent. The Sevice as well is good and attentive. The location is very central and very quite. Everything seem to taste a bit better here, eventough is Lebanese food as all other joints around. Prepare to pay more than other places tough.

Tasty food, expensive, attentive staff. We appreciated coming here for our last night in Lebanon. The portions were small and more expensive compared to the place just two doors down, but it was still nice. We got the shrimp and the eggplant and the octopus fighter. We also had the well recommended pomegranate juice and lemon juice. We got the Arak drinks as well. The patio is beautiful, with hookers all around, and a place right next to the bed with beautiful boots. Very nice.

Great place at the heart of Beirut, service is good, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is what you're expecting in this area. Slightly posh and fancy looking people all around. The place is very well known and you'd be simply pampered with all the attention and the nice waiters and all the good food and taste! Food was delicious and a very good service. This place should be pre-booked. Now there is a franchise in different countries and in Beirut they have 3 restaurants. Prices are very reasonable for such approach and quality of the food. We tried many restaurants in Lebanon, but this one was the best. To Lebanon you can go like a food tourist to find really unique experience.

AmaZing!!!! I’m really impressed with the food here, we live in Dubai and there are plenty of Lebanese restaurants, but no one can cook as good as in this cafe. It was seriously the smoothest hummus in my life. Blackberry juice is insane and chicken skewers are yummy too. Definitely recommended:) Outside sitting area is cute :) I’ll come back in a heartbeat :)

If there was an opportunity to point 0, I would. Besides zero opportunity to call to them to reserve a table, because the phone is always busy, three times we tried to get in. The last was at 1 pm on Monday (which typically means there is a high opportunity to sit at least for having a dinner) , but they still tried to assure me that they have no availability despite the fact that more than half of the tables were empty and had no reservation marks. I called to book a table for the weekend and my call was on Tuesday. The person who answered the phone was disrespectful unlike the person who answers the calls in Monot which was pretty friendly and helpful. He should know that even if he is not in the mood, he should do his job in a good way as he is representing the restaurant.

You always know a restaurant is likely to be nice when it’s jam packed with people! Em Sherif does not disappoint. The waiters are buzzing and super helpful, the food was nice and moderately priced, and the traditional candy-floss-ice-cream desert was oh my so different and delicious! If you don’t have a reservation just go after 3pm and you’ll get a table easily.

The food was absolutely wonderful and you can tell that every food item is very delicately made. The waiters are friendly and VERY attentive and will rush to help you anytime you reach for anything on the table. Their meat is SO soft and high quality. The only reason i am giving them 4 stars is because they don’t serve any wara2 3enab bzeit (stuffed vine leaves), which is my favorite lebanese dish. This left me quite disappointed because what lebanese restaurant doesn’t serve it? Overall i still had a very nice experience and the restaurant itself is very nicely decorated.

Number one by far… And if you order smartly, as opposed to the usual Lebanese way in ordering the menu times two, the bill can be very fair… Every item was superior to similar items elsewhere… Not your weekly place, but so worth the treat every now and then…

Em Sherif is one of my favorite restaurants in terms of food. We usually go to Em Sherif restaurant in Achrafieh, however today we decided to try Em Sherif Café. The food was good, but the portions were a bit small. We ordered Fattoush, Falafel, Hommos, Mtabbal Batenjen, Bokjet Cheese, Soujouk, Fattet Hommos, Fries and meat Ras Asfour. The food was delicious especially the Falafel except for the Ras Asfour meat that was was undercooked, overpriced and came in a small portion. As for the dessert we ordered Em Ali and Ashta Ghazel El Banet that were both good, but the Em Ali was exceptional. What I didn’t like is that we ordered an extra plate of tomatoes with the falafel, since the portion that came with the plate was small and we found out later that they charged Lbp 28.000 on the invoice for one tomato cut into pieces which I believe is unacceptable. Second the service was slow, we had to ask several times from the waiters to bring us extra bread, tomatoes…. Noting that we came on a late lunch at 4 pm and during the peak time. Third, the waiters were always standing in the middle of the hallway not even bothering to move if you need to pass by. Overall our experience was good in terms of food, however in terms of service it was below average.

A must try. I wasn’t very convinced that it will live up to the hype - but I was definitely wrong. The quality, the service, the taste, the shisha and the people I not let you down. Be ready to spend some money though (totally worth it).

It is a nice cafe with decent food and good service. I am torn to justify the price given the food and the overall decor. In my opinion the placement is a bit on the tacky side with these mirror like symbols of pots and ancient bottles. The food is good but there is nothing overwhelming here. The tables don’t have any sheets for the breakfast/brunch service. So my overall opinion is meh... I would recommend sitting outside if you can.

Definetly one of the most tasty lebanese restaurants in Lebanon. What makes it special that they truly have their unique taste, for example i have never tasted such lamb cubes anywhere else, and many other things are also unique and tasty. What i didn't like was the vibes and service. No music, the place is too small to have shisha served inside, and the waiters looks like they are getting paid 200 dollars monthly they dont smile and hands in their pocket while talking to you and terrible body language (our waiter took the order while leaning on the wall). Only the manager was professional he passed by with a smile and asked if all ok. Prices are expensive.

Although Em sheriff is known to be one of the nicest restaurants in downtown Beirut, I hadn’t gotten around to visiting until recently. We got several dishes from the menu, all of which tasted wonderful. The dandelion, the liver, the mtabbal, and the ghazal dessert in particular stood out. The food was just incredible. We also got a dessert that came in jar, I don’t remember the name of it but we found it rather bitter and would recommend people avoid it (I think it may have been the Aish Al Soriya) The service is super quick, even when the restaurant is busy. The restaurant does take credit card, which is rather rare in Lebanon after the banking crisis. Reservations are required if you want to eat before 9:30 PM, so call in advance to set one up.

This placed lives up to the hype. The food here is amazing. I ordered hummus, kebabs, and a local cheese dish. Portion sizes were reasonable and everything tasted very good. Waiters were attentative, with 3 people watching my table and the host immediately attending to me on arrival. The only unfortunate part for the restaurant/people is their currency situation makes this place criminally cheap for westeners. My meal shouldve been ~$40 for a place of this quality.
